As a Brit I know many decent integrated Indians here. But none of them are recent arrivals. Older immigrants were respectful and wanted to be British and adopt British ways. But newer immigrants act as if we owe them something while acting in disrespectful dirty disgusting ways. For example in India I have to use Indian toilets as Indians do. I don’t pretend I don’t understand how to use them, I don’t need instructions on the door and I don’t break the toilet by standing on it, shytting up the walls and all over the floor and leave it there like that’s normal. I’ve worked in offices where this was routine when Indian contractors were brought in. Integrated Indian men seem to take great pride in dressing smartly and smelling good. But it’s really common for Indians to smell REALLY BAD. Poor personal hygiene plus excessive amounts of Indian food (you’re abroad ffs try some different food!) creates a truly vile odour. Some Indian men also think it acceptable to stare at and harass British girls (although to be fair they do not have as bad a reputation as their neighbours) they are also rude and racist to white people especially women. Some Indians in 2025 still seem to think they’re living under the Raj and Britain is ‘oppressing’ them. They’re not and we’re not. The empire brought benefits to India and left peacefully over 70 YEARS ago. We don’t owe you ANYTHING. This victim mentality means India will NEVER be a proper first world country. You can flood the world with sheer numbers but you will never be respected or improve the world in any way, you will only ever leech off the invention of others. I do not mean to disrespect the many decent Indian people I’m just telling the truth. As a culture your presence outside of India is negative because of the way so many Indians act, trying to create India wherever they go. We celebrated our native cultures within the confines of our communities. While it was frustrating to be invisible in white culture, we never sought to conquer them with our culture. We were ethical to the hilt. Our generations were poor -- yet we struggled to help others in India and in the west. We were NEVER on the dole. Personally I think it is rude to enter a nation (in the west or anywhere in the world) with naked opportunism. Speaking for myself -- despite neocolonialism, I admired western civilization, especially its older forms. \n \nBut the ugly Indian who comes now is loud, brash, socially irresponsible, exploitative, money-hungry, opportunistic, and arrogant beyond belief (full of the hubris that comes from sudden new wealth). They look down on us who have been here a while. They are used to a servant-culture and look down on white working class people, as if they are servants. As for second generation Indians in the west, they can be racist towards us first generations. But the opposite is true as well. Indian newcomers see them as an alien species. Indians do tend to hire their own and stick to their own identities -- I do not mean the Indian identity, but their native state identities. All this feeds into the primary and secondary forms of western racism that are already simmering beneath the surface. This new genre of Indians is destroying the goodwill we have built. I have personally witnessed arrogant young Indian students cutting the line to reach the front desk. No manners, no ethics. As a first generation Indian immigrant I get annoyed. What makes it worse, a lot of these Indians, especially in the prairies, already have their groceries subsidized by federal government, and they STILL abuse the food bank. It’s not just food bank either, they all apply for welfare and immediately get assistance even though it takes months to get as a natural born citizen, and that’s even if you get it. I was shocked to find out the federal government was paying indians to move out of Ontario and BC into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba because the coastal cities infrastructure was about to implode in certain areas. So they they told these people to move inland, and if they do and stay there for 18-24 months, they get $3300 dollars a month every month for that duration. My disability cheque, that I paid into for 40 years of hard work, comes out to 950 dollars a month. This is absurd. These people get literally everything handed to them, and STILL abuse the programs meant for those who are struggling. I have never in my life met such an arrogant and utterly dishonest and disgusting group of peoples in my life. This isn’t just one or two bad apples, this is happening in every city around here. They also get first dibs on any and all medical treatment and specialists. Many local residents who have already been on waiting lists for years to get treatment are getting bumped in order to accommodate the new invaders. It’s basically impossible to find a doctors or dentists office accepting new patients. ER rooms are full constantly of these people coming just for runny noses and coughs, clogging up the already strained healthcare system. The prairies hospitals (at least where I live) were barely holding together before this nonsense. Yet somehow, this is all just white people being racist huh? \nWell I’ll tell you what, I’m not white, my people were on this land long before anyone else can claim to be, and while I’ll admit there’s often still a lot of animosity between natives and whites, youd be quite surprised to see how many of us are in agreement towards the current behaviour of these people.

The answer is simple, cut immigration, period. Unemployment rate is crazy for students looking for work because immigrants are taking the jobs. Look after your countries people first. What will Canada do, you ask? For starters, it can clear the truckload of foreign workers taking sub-par wages at job sites for my son's 3rd-year electrician apprenticeship - a job he hasn't found any work in for about 4 months now in the GTA. Yes, these workers and the companies that employ them have been illegally using the system meant for workers that cannot be found locally to hire for lower wages than Canadians. Some of them are fully qualified electricians willing to work for $22/hour - just $4.80 above minimum wage - you cannot survive on that in the GTA. So, not only do these workers steal jobs, they drive down wages. The companies need to be fined for misuse of this code.

Up here we pick our Prime Minister‘s based on what they do up until they are seeking election and vote accordingly. We’re not allowed to carry weapons and use them for protection up here we look out for each other. I would prefer my children to live in a multicultural society where they are just used to other traditions and culture and Orientationchoices. That is not based on the colour of your skin. I like to have a conversation about a political opponent without it getting dangerous you’re allowed to have an opinion up here and that’s how we view it, but quite frankly after half an hour 15 minutes we we get bored of political views and just walk away from you.There’s no such a thing as you don’t want to live in that area and you have to be careful about where your kid goes to school. What does that do to the people that you’ve left behind? How does that make that better for them? I had a friend that worked down in the United States and every time I talk to her, she always uttered. I have to be aware of my white privilege. Moreover, I have noticed that some Indian employees, upon securing a job, focus exclusively on hiring other Indians, leading to a lack of diversity in the workplace. This has raised concerns about racism, as some Indian individuals have exhibited prejudice towards black and white colleagues, often using derogatory language and pretending to work while failing to make meaningful contributions.

Romanian here, with 8 years in Germany, still debating if a citizenship is worth the effort though I use German both at my work place and for regular tasks. \nMy opinion is that Germany has a chaotic approach to absorbing skilled workers. \nI agree completely with the statement that this approach led it to absorb, far more easily, unskilled and, a lot of times, problematic immigrants rather than skilled professionals. I see this happening in communities and online groups. This also contributes to social and political backlash. \nCombining economy issues, social backlash, decreasing purchasing power and pressure on housing, Germany is becoming less attractive by the hour for skilled workers.

I went through this twice during COVID. Two tenants stopped paying one after the other and lost over 50k. Sadly, the only option is to take her to small claims court but in order to do that you need an eviction order and sheriff documents. Even if he does get to that point, they can o lay garnish her wages and at that point, she can avoid paying and jump from place to place changing addresses info and job details. Professional renters know the system and they work it to screw the landlords. One tenant I had actually believed that if they rent the house they “own the home”. Even if you call the police they won’t do anything. If the government just allowed the police to arrest and charge these people I think it would help but they don’t. It’s horrible. I’m actually thinking of selling my home because of the financial burden it’s been post COVID. I have good tenants now but only after using most of the equity to pay off the damage and missed rent from the last 3 tenants….

Canada understands that individuals from developing nations may not want to return home, and that is understandable. But the proper process must be followed.\n\nI agree that the Canadian government has made mistakes. However, international students also took advantage of the system, which I can understand. The government should never have allowed international students to obtain work permits so easily. They should have been required to complete their studies, secure a job offer, and only then apply for a work permit. This would be the point at which their PR process could begin.\n\nWhat the government did instead was detrimental to Canadians. By allowing international students to get work permits immediately, bring their spouses, and provide work permits to them as well, they created challenges. Students should focus on studying first, graduating, and then finding a job—just as it used to be.\n\nThe government should create regulations requiring all publicly funded colleges and universities to cap the fees charged to international students. These institutions should only be allowed to charge a maximum of 15% to 25% above the fees for local students. Charging exorbitant amounts was essentially a form of robbery, exploiting international students with the false hope of permanent residency (PR), which is never guaranteed.
