A Ukrainian immigrant here. Absolutely in love with beautiful canadian nature, cute little houses, especially townhouses in toronto, just so wholesome. As for life, you gotta be some sort of specialist like a doctor, or a proper construction worker, or a truck driver to have a decent life that goes beyond just getting by and eking out an existence. On my own i can make enough money for food and rent, but thats about it, and im happy about it, really, i get to be alive thanks to canada, but i really hope i could move out of here as soon as it becomes safe, or just move to a cheaper country thats a decent distance away from russia. I ended up being unemployed and i do feel like im in quite a real danger on eventually becoming homeless if i dont manage to procure a job, and you know how the job market is now. As for health care, i simply dont have access to it, at least i dont have a family doctor and have been trying for a while to get one. I haven't tried walking ins yet since i prioritize food over health now but i might someday. I just hope that whatever sickness bugs me is minor, i cant do anything about it. My teeth hurt too, but i cant afford a dentist, and ive found one Clinique in toronto that helps immigrants fix their teeth for cheap, they can help you with three teeth in total, and i've used up one of it, and saving the rest for real emergencies. I cant eat anything except for real soft food, and i know im not gonna get any help i could afford any time soon.\nOnce i get a job i will be saving as much money as i can to leave Canada, i don't know where yet but i'm doing my research and hopefully will find a place, and if not well, sucks to suck. Of late, JT ( Liberal party) has become the whipping boy of Canada for all wrong reasons especially for the intake of a large number of international students and no one seems to be blaming the Conservative party that actually removed  the cap in 2014.  In 2014, in line with the International Education Strategy published by the  Government of Canada, the ruling dispensation decided to raise the number of international students from around 240,000 to over 450,000 by the year 2022. \n\nAccordingly in 2014, the then ruling dispensation (Conservative party) enhanced the number of international students visas to 327 thousand from the previous cap of 240 thousand.  In 2015, the figure went upto 352 thousand, representing almost a 47% increase  by CPC during their last 2 years in office .  As of 2023, there are over 1.5 million students holding study permits in Canada. \n\nIt is a known fact and no Canadian can sweep it under the carpet that the economic impact from the contribution by international students was felt across the entire country. From a mere $ 9 billion in 2014 it went to $12.8 billion in 2015 and it further enhanced to 15.5 billion in 2016. \n\nBy 2022, the Canadian government reported that the annual economic contribution of international students had increased to $22.3 billion, greater than exports of auto parts, lumber or aircraft. \n\nNow it is for the Canadians  to decide  as to who should be blamed  for  if Canadians feel that their country has become like a third world country- the international students who had contributed more than $22.3 billion to the exchequer of the govt  in the last 10 years or both the mainstream political parties namely Liberal Party and Conservative  Party  that failed the Canadians by opening up the flood gate to international students with  their eyes set only on the economic contribution  by international students  without  realising the after effect of huge unchecked  immigration of students. I live in a town right across from Buffalo NY Toronto the last 7 years have been filled with Indians we had basically none but in the last 2 years they’ve literally have taken over the town I live in if you go to McDonald’s Wendy’s A&w etc it’s literally 100% Indians that work there and they barley understand English so they mess up your order half the time ?‍♂️ fast food restaurants are typically entry-level jobs that teenagers work at so they could save up for college etc not for all the Indian immigrants that come here and now it’s getting to the point the managers of these restaurants are Indian so they only hire their kind it’s getting bad unemployment for teenagers is at an all-time high in Canada

It is unfair to the individuals who are relocating to Canada under the current circumstances. Recognizing the issues with our nation's trajectory does not require one to hold racist views. If Canadians genuinely cared about all people, they would seek to prevent the misleading promises made by the Liberal and NDP governments. Many immigrants were promised a prosperous country but have instead encountered challenges such as a housing crisis, rising cost of living, opioid addiction and homelessness issues, inflation, healthcare strains, high unemployment, high taxes, and a declining standard of living. \n \nNotably, Canada is technically in a recession, and without the influx of money brought in by immigrants, the country's economic struggles would be more apparent. The economy appears healthier on paper due to foreign investment and spending, but underlying issues persist. While immigration has significantly impacted Canada in multiple ways, the responsibility lies not with the immigrants who were overpromised, but with the Liberal and NDP governments that have underdelivered. There's also been a massive influx of Ukrainian refugees into Canada, over 700,000 applications were received from Ukrainians under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) in 2022. And especially been a major influx particularly into Alberta. Employers also receive many benefits for hiring Ukrainians under the CUAET, which has also lead to increased unemployment and reduced wages for entry level jobs. We should not allow refugees and international students, anyone who is deemed temporary to enter and/or remain in the country if we don't have the necessary supports.

I'm the son of an immigrant and I'm telling you that immigration has gotten out of control. Scrap the all TFW programs, forget just low wage jobs you have PGWP's being hired as financial representatives, insurance brokers, marketing managers, etc... at a host of businesses which are jobs there are TONS of qualified Canadians for or could be easily trained to do allowing them to gain valuable experience to improve their standard of living. No, instead this government focused on importing more foreigners and now we have a housing crisis, an unemployment rate of 7.1% in Ontario alone (4.5% is considered healthy and the government wants to keep bringing in more people into low wage jobs as long as it stays under 6% which is a complete joke). If you are born and/or raised Canadian and have been here since you were a kid you MUST stand against this, I assure you that this nonsense is robbing you of a better future all to appease corporate greed by suppressing wages and forcing employees to stay in careers/jobs forever out of fear they can't find any other work.

The reason they don't want to speak is because they can't speak English. Their command of the language is so poor yet they want to stay in Canada. Majority came through the student visa route as a means to get a work permit. They are abusing our system. These people must be sent home asap and our immigration system must be changed. Immigration agents who make promises they can't keep must have their licences revoked. We don't need anymore Tim Horton's workers. Tim Horton's and alike should invest in tech that allows for a less labor intensive option. Our govt. is either too blind or pandering to their corporate donors to the detriment of Canadians.
