I walked into a house that I wanted to lease. It was of course rented by Indians and some were still living in there. The owner wanted almost $4k per month. The moment I stepped foot inside the house, the stench was so powerful that it nearly made me vomit. I initially thought it was just the entrance, it got progressively worse the further in I went. Bathrooms were unclean, there were stains all over the walls, rotten food around, dirty shoes and clothes thrown all around, damage to just about every corner inside of the house ... I walked out. The next day, I went to see another house on the other side of the city, thinking it's more on the outskirts and it looked slightly better on the outside, same exact situation and I was ironically asked if I was "Indian because I can get a discount on the rent", I walked out. The blatant racism and disrespect was nauseating. I was raised that it's not permissible to exit out of your house dirty let alone not cleaning up after yourself. I was raised to be fluent in both official languages. I'm not seeing any of these norms happening anymore... if anything, it's the complete opposite.

I hate to say it…. But the natives of Brampton did not sell their message very well. I heard a lot of racism from them. While the Indian people in this video were making sense in a lot of their comments…FYI i am a white person living in Brampton. Just calling balls and strikes, no agenda for me.

I'm surprised no liberal voters are calling this dude a "racist" because it involves Indians. He is literally interviewing both sides of this issue. In my opinion, if the liberal government stays in power, and more and more liberal voters use the racism card on people who point out these issues just to make themselves feel like a good person, more and more major cities in Canada will be filled of them who either entered as an international student, or as an asylum seeker. It is not "multiculturalism" or "diversity" if there is only people from one culture coming to Canada? Where are the people from countries like Italy? Germany? Ukraine? Mexico? It is not racist to point out how in very few homes, most notably in Brampton, around 7 or more people live in one house. It is not racist to point out how these Indians need to learn to write and speak proper English. It is not racist to point out how they need to adapt to our civilized way of life here in Canada. It is not racist to point out the rise in crime done by people of Indian descent. It is not racist to point out how, coincidentally, the quality in Tim Hortons has dropped lately, when in a majority of them have workers of Indian descent, which are usually in major cities. How so? The liberal-imposed foreign worker plan, plus a little bit of corporate greed. It is not racist to point out that Indian "international students" are getting their food from food banks, which are supposed to be for the poor, and how some places of work only hire Indians, because they are run by Indians. Why is this discussion even about Indians? Because they make up HUGE majority of people coming to live in Canada. Matter of fact, this does not apply to Indians coming to Canada, but to whoever goes to live in another country. It does not take much out of you to at least adapt to the way of life in which ever country you go to. The conservative party sees this in a way that the liberals do not. Come back to this comment in another 10-20 years when the liberals are still in power. You'll see the difference.

After watching this video, and then reading the comments i think I know what the problem is, its RACISM, people just dont like seeing so many people of different color, ofcourse mass immigration will bring a lot of people, in this case it was Indians/pakistanis/bangladeshis, and its true out of so many immigrants some will choose wrong things to do(there are bad fishes in every pond), but isnt it true for everyone, even white people do the same shit, but the issue here which is concerning to everybody why a different race is here, the feel like its no more like canada used to be cuz brown people are here, but they forget white people also immigrated at one point of time to these lands. It’s so bizarre to me, that many Canadians have defaulted to racism and generalized hate towards almost 2 Billion distinct human beings from the actions of 1% instead of directly their anger towards the government that imported these people for short term political/economic benefits at the expense of long term social stability of Canada? Our families have been here from India since 1887 in Canada. Our parents came here 1965. We suffered racism and pathed the way for the newcomers. The difference is that our parents came the right way with a sponsorship. These newcomers think they are better than us. We couldn't afford a car for years. These newcomers are rolling in sports cars as soon as they land. They haven't suffered hardship like we did here. Please don't put us on the same level as them. I know some that have come here and really worked their way up to adapt here. The government needs to stop giving out free handouts to the ones that are abusing our country.

As someone who lived in Brampton for several years, I learned that in the Indian culture they must look out for their own first. As a Black person looking to rent a place, it was extremely disheartening (I’m experiencing racism from people darker than me?!). Eventually one landlord told me what was up - they must help their own people and essentially only rent to other Indian people. You see it in all the companies where you have an Indian hiring manager - they are biased to employing only their own. I was left no choice but to leave Brampton.

Most of them are South Asians but they are Canadians, not indians. Just like you are caucassian and Canadian, white people also originally didnt exist in this land. This video screams racism. I came here 25 years ago from India. While growing up, I would go to the terrace of my home and turn the antenna to get Cbc at night. I watched Air Farce One, the green show, NFB and Cbc and was always fascinated with Canada. I knew then when I was 20 that I will make Canada home. I wrote my IELTS ENGLISH test, studied here with good grades. And I did. I have an amazing career and young kids. And I have loved everyday of it. I have watched rerun of trailer park boys about 10 or so times already, watched Corner gas, watch hockey, I have embraced the weather, the people and the values this nation stands for. I have travelled coast to coast and to the great north. Heck I have been to more places in Canada with my job than other Canadians who are born and raised here. Now all I see there these ignorant, entitled effs thinking they can come and change the way of life. Like how Don Cherry said, they want the milk and honey but won't respect the values. I am effing done with this immigration and the government. Steven Harper was the prime minister when I got my citizenship and it was the proudest moment of my life. I really hope Canadians wake up. I know exactly why the racism has gone up and I don't blame the Canadians at all. These clowns bought it on to themselves. I just had enough and wish things would back to how it was 20 or so years ago.

Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

Pure racism - that Portuguese guy is pretty much the same as Indian folks: non white, came in as immigrant, maintains his culture. This is not the immigration problem - this is economy. Moved to downtown Toronto, Canada on June 5th, 1970. There was no indian grocery stores until a few years later, where a Mr. Sharma opened one of the very first stores. Growing up in the heart of downtown and going to school (Ossington and Old Orchard P.S.) wasn't easy. There was quite a bit of racism in those days so my sister and I had to assimilate quickly, in which we did. We happily lived within the Portuguese and Italian communities and the rest is history!!!!

Seems all good to me. Italians came they made little Italy. Greeks came they made Greek town at Pape Station. The racism spewed by these individuals in this video is the reason why many immigrants look for enclaves where others look like them. So many lies too. I have many immigrant friends. I haven't lost my culture, but embrace theirs. The issue is the government's immigration policies are creating racism. There is no way you can survive on $21 an hour. It's going to get worse before it gets better. Your only option is further education to secure a better job. That is not an option for many people based on finances and current education. Average Canadian penalized for having a job.

I also have to say that crime is way to high, and it's because of the immigrants, not all do crime but alot do, especially the east, they do sexual predation and other crime. If you come here, you need to assimilate to our culture and stop screaming racism if we don't accept your culture.

I’m first generation born Canadian to Central American parents. They’ve done their part to be Canadian and love this country and yes we have faced racism before as most minorities, we still respect this country, love it and we know that it’s a niche amount of Canadians that act like that. My parents have done their best to be Canadians and have been accepted as much. These new ones ? Ya idk, not like it used to be apparently

We have to be careful that we don't become the U.S. Yes, some of these immigrants deserve to be deported, but let's make sure that it's the criminals that are deported, and shun racism when you can.
