Why is no one speaking about Columbia's requirements to accepting immigrants into their country. Give the WHOLE STORY CNN

Border control and immigration are absolutely a major issue that needs to be addressed. For instance, Canada should have been on top of border control a long time ago. Safety for Canadiand AND Americans. But Canada can't just give in. Where does it end. Everytime Trump wants something he is just going to keep threatening with tariffs. Do as i say or 25% tariffs. This is not a way to deal with other countries.

I was born and raised in America on 56 years old and I can't even get an apartment and hear they're giving these immigrants 68,000 and 6 months to live on just handed to them for free. And I can't even get my tax refund that they owe me from 2018 $5,000 because I have to prove that it's me and they're giving me such a hard time they keep saying no it's not you answer these questions wrong. I'm an Indian american immigrant stood in line for over a decade to get USC. We as a country can give up bananas and whatever else comes from these countries, there is enough food here to survive etc, it is matter of month or so before the country realizes they can not survive but USA needs to be cleaned up from illegal immigrants period.

Unfortunately, have to agree with the fact that some Indians have exploited the visa process and made it a mess for the remaining well intentioned legal residents. Lack of proper manners, over staying, misusing the privilege, list goes on. Please understand: we need to follow rules. We are a law abiding country. I was in the Missouri when i got sick. I drove home and was diagnosed with a brainstem tumour. 10 hr surgery, 4 surgerical teams, icu, wks hospitalization. Months of rehab and homecare. The school even arranged a cab to take my 5 yr old to school. I have seen bills for pts who didn't make it home and had to have surgery in the US before being repatriated back to the icu i worked. It was an eye opener to see what they were charged for a box of kleenex, a catheter, an iv bag etc. I would have lost everything if i had to have surgery in the US. \nMy sister is currently in hosp in the US, and she is getting good care. I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. She's a senior on medicaid so she's not going into massive debt or dying in her home to avoid going to the hospital.\n \nI have been travelling to the states since 1976 as a young child. I love the states, I have a lot of family there. My dad lived there until his death. My great grandma immigrated and died in Montana. The population of Indian immigrants has skyrocketed in my native California since 2000. There are many lovely Indian people living here. But many are arrogant Tesla drivers that dont drive safely and act like they own the world. I slammed my breaks on once because a dog ran into the street and I didn’t want to hit it. And the Indian man behind me rear-ended me (which is completely his fault because he was riding too close behind.) He was furious and his response was “you should’ve hit the dog.” He kept saying it was my fault for stopping in the road and wouldn’t give me his insurance. I almost hit him, but instead I called the cops so they’d force him to give me his insurance.

The reason is that some Indian finds it difficult to integrates.\n\n I know one Indian lady that have lived in one country for over 20 years and the lady cannot speak the language of that country. Improve trade and cut H4 visas for US as i have no idea on other countries. H4 visa housewives will really depressed in a country like US. because of depression crime rate will be more.? sometimes you wont have any indian friends near by even it has more indian immigrants. Give jobs to indians who are living there for generations. They must have contributed tons of inputs larger foreign trade income etc... Ask their inputs and India should make policies supportive or non supportive to indians. Dont send indians. They will suffer. I think the rabid immigration should stop as it will damage Indias reputation even more especially with the quality of people who are going abroad. The countries who give them visas are fully aware that there are universities that earn them forex but this could be really damaging to their countries. What happened in Canada is of course an extreme case and other countries can probably learn from it \n\nAlso India should restrict exit and not give out loans to people who do not intend to return. That will also help curb some of the illegal exits.

It's a shame that we talk about 5th biggest economy.... and politicians and actors saying at immigration they ask are you coming from Modi's country.... Apparently according to her the Immigration officer in the UK was impressed about her Indian passport.lolzz. Regardless of many reasons for rejection, we as a country shouldn't turn blind eye to illegal methods to obtain visa or illegal immigration. We can't deny fact that racial prejudice is significant while giving visas.\nEnd of the day, its the sovereign country's right to let anyone into their country.

The Rejection rate is still very low . India can also do more to prevent illegal immigration to other countries. That gives all Indians a bad image and more scrutiny when they apply for a Visa. Like Requiring all Indians travelling overseas to have a return ticket and digital copy of their Visa, passport that can be accessed by the Indian embassy in the country they plan to visit . So if they are illegals or lose their passport, the India Embassy/Gov will know or be able to help them with a new passport to travel back to India. Digital copy is to be submitted to the Indian Embassy in the country they plan to visit days before departure, with conformation .\n\n These simple steps will bring more credibility to Indian Passport holders.

It is surprising they still give out millions of visas while a significant number of travelers abuse the system! Rest of the world also does not want illegal immigrants/visa abusers the same way India doesn't. They might reconsider their rejection if India offers free deportation flights to back home for the millions of Indian illegal immigrants around the world and do a better job of screening potential abusers at the emigration step.

The problem is they are not able to curb illegal immigrants and taking the wrath on people who want to go legally .\n\nIn my case they didnot even give a reason why it was rejected even after my bank balance showed hefty consistent bank balance and a business which has proper income tax document .\n\nThe reason given was not enough economic roots .

The government gives immigrants courses on skirting our laws and gives them money to start busineses, this doesnt surprise me at all, we reap what we sow as a country.

It is not just the number of students, it is the quality of the students. Majority of these students are not top notch or the ones who will integrate well into society. Most of the schools accepting students in Canada and Australia are businesses run by former immigrants to these countries, who saw the business opportunity of charging people to give them admissions to low quality un-ecreditted schools, which they run themselves. Then in the midde of the school years they will push students to apply for immigration or refugee status. Everyone knows what the scam is but the governments are not addressing it. I am pro immigration but the systems have changed (broken) from what they used to be 20/30 years ago.

There is no housing problem. There is a big problem with people not earning enough to rent and the Canadian Government cannot commandeer housing and give it to immigrants like they do in NYC and San Francisco: free housing, free ATM card for food, and city services. A corrupt and incompetent PM who has no idea how to run a country. The trudeau government penalizes those who work so they can give handouts to those people who don't want to work. Uncontrolled immigration and an abused refugee system has pushed the average Canadian over the edge. Canada has experienced what is now considered 'ten lost years' thanks to the trudeau government.
