My observation of Canada is that the people are generally friendlier, the streets are generally cleaner, the food is generally healthier, the atmosphere is generally more chill, and the people are generally more intelligent. America has turned stupid because of social media pushing MAGA. It's just something to be aware of.\n\nIn downtown, it's common to see large gatherings where people are dancing, playing loud music, and sometimes drifting cars. There's also a tendency for loud phone conversations on public transport, which can be seen as disruptive since people here are generally more sensitive to noise in public spaces.\n\nThat being said, I have no hate at all—one of my best friends is Indian, and I really appreciate how they always support me without expecting anything in return. Just wanted to share this as an observation. Thanks!

I know what will happen … you will whine, stomp your feet and cry like a baby that a critically ill soldier - in death’s door - is getting life saving medication over your Estrogen.\n\nMeanwhile when tampons and maxipads are late female soldiers just do what women have done for centuries … they just suck it up and keep on going.\n\nDemanding Male Privilege as a Trans Woman is pretty hypocritical.

I do think India is gaining every way. And developing fast. India’s education system is. Nothing to sneezed at. Generally all Indian and Asian families who have come to Canada are always the top students in schools . But whenever there are economic problems, they blame it on immigrants instead of acknowledging their shortcomings. The problem is throughout the Anglo World, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, we are allowing millions of immigrants from the third world, when in fact if AI is going to take 70/80pct of jobs in the future we do not need immigrants from the third world at all. We are not and never have been nations of ''communities'', we are Canadian, American British, and Australian, but we are all connected in our Judeo-Christian roots, values, culture, and way of life, the vast majority of these third-world immigrants can never be part of what we are. That causes resentment, even jealousy, and one day it will end badly

Canada and Mexico need to find other trade partners and have stronger relationships with other countries and start trading with each other stop relying on America for everything just because they are closer start trading with Denmark . When I've gone into Emergency here in Canada, you first check in and then wait for about 10 minutes to go through triage. They ask you why you've come and go over your symptoms. Then you go back and wait again. I've gone in for pneumonia at least twice. Both times I was sent for a quick check of my heart (because one of my symptoms was chest pain). When that came out fine, I was sent back to wait more. After about 20-30- minutes I was called to come into a more interior waiting area. There I just sat and dozed for several hours. Once I was in and out in 3 hours, which was really fast! Generally I count on a minimum of 5-6 hours from entry to exit. But I haven't gone in with life threatening problems. One was an injured knee. I just know that if I have to wait a long time, then I'm probably ok! If I got in too quickly, I'd worry! But there was no charge except to rent crutches one time and for the antibiotics I needed to go and get at the pharmacy. \nMy brother's first child was born a bit early but was very tiny. He had to stay in the hospital for about a month. He was also born by emergency C-section. At the end of all this, my brother said that the biggest expense was their parking bill for visiting so often. That would probably have been about $15 per day.

Why do those of us on the political left keep allowing those on the political right to dictate the terms of public conversations, even when we have the facts on our side? It is estimated that 1.7% of the world population is biologically intersex. That's roughly the same as the percentage of the world population that is naturally redheaded. Trump's executive order states that the US government only recognizes two biological sexes.  This means that as far as the US government is concerned, biologically intersex people don't exist. This is analogous to having an executive order saying redheads do not exist.  It's nonsense.  So, why aren't biologists from all over the country pointing this out? The percentage of the world population that identifies as transgender is at most 0.6%.  So why are we talking about transgender people when there is a larger group of people that Trump's executive order discriminates against?  Here's why: because folks on the left insist on allowing those on the right to set the terms of almost every debate we have in this country and folks on the right are happy to ignore intersex people (whose existence conclusively establish that their views are false) and those of us on the left stupidly follow their example in doing so. If we are serious about protecting trans people, we need to be smart about this. Let us reframe the public debate to focus on intersex people.  This will make exposing the lunacy of Trump's executive order much easier when engaging a general public that is too ignorant, lazy, and indifferent to educate themselves about trans people. So, let's help out the lazy ignorant masses by adopting a simpler (and more science-based) approach to the debate over whether there are two biological sexes by making the simple, scientifically sound observation that biological sex is bimodal, not a binary.  And not amount of executive orders can ever change that fact.

Lived in Canada for almost 40 years. Worked in USA for 5 years 25 years ago. I did make a lot more money in USA then, luckily, I was in my 20s and almost never seen a doctor in my 5 years in the USA. \nThank God I didn't get into any accident while there. \n\nIn general, I observed many people in the USA are not good neighbors. Simple observation, ex you drive and merge into a lane in a busy SF Bay Highway you need to fight hard to get into a lane. In BC, Canada, merging lanes is very orderly, each vehicle takes turn merging into a lane one entering from one lane and then another vehicle from another lane with respect and consideration. \nIn the USA, I think it is this brutal mentality translates into policy in health care and education, you are not responsible to help your community in any way and take while you can for yourself.

If the government's worried about maintaining the same service standard maybe they should stop letting 500K people in every year. IMO, the border should be CLOSED until Canada gets a handle on the shortage of affordable housing and the pricing of housing in general comes back down to reality. I’m a citizen of the USA, generally impressed with skills and work ethic of people from India.

Visa rejection rate has always been high, the interview process is highly arbitrary. There is no logic to the rejection, it's dependent on on perception of the person interviewing and therefore can be highly biased. It's not right to assume and generalize that Indians are a nation of people where most have bad behaviour - this thought process is itself wrong. As an individual do any of us think that we travel just to indulge in reckless behavior? That is never a first thought - let's not generalize and have a better opinion of fellow citizens. We will be respected by outsiders if we first have respect and a positive opinion as regards each other.

These reasons may be applicable for few. But in general even if the visa applicant is educated and valid reason to travel, the visa gets rejected and no valid reason is given. \n\nEducation and civic sense issues are there, but not everyone is from that class, so cannot generalise. \n\nWe as Indians must learn to talk well about ourselves.

I don’t know about rest of the world but in the US alone, 700,000 Indians entered the country either illegally or overstayed their US visa just last year alone. In Canada, some Indian international students were discovered to have forged their education documents and now have been deported. Temporary workers are demanding permanent residency after work visa extensions have been cancelled due to housing shortages & increasing unemployment rate. \n\nIndian people in general are good workers but these protest aren’t helping and demanding they be allowed to stay while their documents are forged is upsetting Canadians. It unfortunately grouping everyone together.

The rejection rate is increasing as we Indian are going out at a pace which is greater than any of the given country especially if we compare ourselves with China. Second is the civic sense, we have little to no civic sense when we cant keep our own country clean. Third is the general sentiment in the host country, as we are highly skilled and take most of jobs, western people with their inferiority complex cant handle it hence ranking India in the 85th Position.

The passport ranking is because of how Indians behave in general. If I was a nation I would make sure I don't let too many Indians in. And I would also make sure that the process is difficult enough to dehumanize them as they try to get to my country. \n\nAs an Indian I am happy that this is happening. At least now we will all work towards building this nation up to serve all our needs instead of fighting with others to let them into their house.

@3:30: Burkino Faso, Kosovo and Cuba have tiny populations. Even if their entire population migrated, the locals in the country receiving them would hardly notice any difference. Not so with India and its 1.5 billion population, many of whom want to migrate only because the neighbour's/aunt's/uncle's son also went abroad. Announce a liberal visa regime for Indians one day, and within a year, your country would start looking like Chandigarh or Ahmedabad. While most countries are ok with some diversity, no one wants to be overrun by foreigners, even if the foreigners in question are Indians who are generally law abiding and hard working. And then there are the 'smarter ' types who fake documents and produce bogus certificates to get visas and even pay human smugglers to take them abroad if their visas are rejected. It's for all these reasons why India's passport is ranked at 85. The only reason why India doesn't fall even further is because there are bigger basket cases like India's 'friendly' neighbors who are sitting tight below.\nIf India wants equitable treatment, it should first make itself the best place in the world for an Indian to live and work in. The more you rely on the others for visas, the more likely they are to refuse you.
