Justin Trudeau is planning his own attack on Canadian taxpayers on April first. He’s paid off our media to be silent about his huge tax increase coming. Currently his carbon tax on home heating costs are higher than the cost of the gas itself. Don’t believe fooled by this boy king.

Trump is attempting to offset his tax cuts by implementing a tax that isn't called a tax. All of the money from the tariffs goes to the government. Trump has mentioned when tariffs were common as supporting what he is doing, but he doesn't add that at that time, there wasn't an income tax, so tariffs were how the government supported itself. Trump, knowing that tariffs are income for the government, is lying to his base so they will accept the increased prices as a necessary evil to battle the bad countries of Mexico and Canada. It will look like his tax breaks aren't hurting as much as they are and price increases will be the fault of the other countries.\n\nTrump is a conniving grifter with no knowledge of how to run a country's economy or international trade. He is gaslighting the American public to cover his own shortcomings.\n\nAlso, if fentanyl is entering the US, why is it the fault of the other countries? It is the job of the US to stop anything on its side of the border. Canada and Mexico do what they can to catch the drugs while inside their respective countries. The tons of cocaine and guns that enter Canada and Mexico from the US are caught by their border services; they don't blame the US for the products getting past their own border agents, and the US takes no responsibility for it making it across the border. Why is it other countries' fault for drugs getting past the US's border agents, but not the fault of the US that guns and drugs are going in the other direction? That is why countries work together, not fight over whose fault it is and try to punish each other.

Who pays tarrifs? At the end of the day- Customers on both sides. So its kind of tax increase in both countries, very useful for both govts

Thanks to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's leadership, speaking clearly in whole sentences, calling out DJT lies, untruths & fallacies while outlining & correcting w' facts & truths... DJT utilizes deceptiveness to gaslight Americans increasingly less effectively... More Americans are opening their eyes & ears... unfortunately some not... Hopefully soon.\n>> Trudeau calls out Trump aligning America w. PUTIN--Russia, a Dictator, thug & murderer, and displacing historical allies & friends..\n>> Fentanyl is manufactured in China; shipped in bulk to Mexican Cartels, etc, to prep for the American Markets--Why hasn't Trump stopped it now he's in charge of the borders. \nRECALL SYCOPHANTS from Congress--Replace w' patriots to impeach Trump-Vance & prosecute them w/ Musk, DOGE & all who are violating our laws accessing & deconstructing our Govt.

I am a Canadian and I am currently visiting my country outside of my province of Quebec. The amount of Canadian flag that people put on their house has increased dramatically. We are a proud Canadian and we will survive at all cost
2025-03-04 0
Just curious, currently (before Trump's Tariffs) how much TARIFFS does Canada pay for American goods and how much TARRIFS does America pay for Canadian goods? If Trump is increasing TARIFFS more than Canada, then that's sad.
2025-03-04 0
Trump is actually causing the stock market to fall and he and his crooks will wait until it comes down. He'll then try to correct the tarriff's back to zero so the stock market will go up but before Trump will buy, buy, buy to increase his own stock holdings

Increase tariffs to 100% on Canada NOW... Show Canada they need us, we really dont need them. Those are Facts
2025-03-04 0
US gets 50% of Canada's natural gas production and $100B+ of crude oil from Canada - all US consumers will be stuck with the price increases... don't matter if you are red or blue.

Trump is a bully. He knows that Canada is vulnerable. Trump wants the Auto industry in Canada moved to the U.S.. This will increase the cost of vehicles in the U.S. Trump does not care. If he can harm Canada he will be pleased. He wants to control Canada.. Canada is guilty of not arranging an alternative to the Keystone pipeline. The U.S. refineries need the Canadian heavy oil. If Canada had created pipelines to Vancouver they would be in a better position but as it is Trump wins.

How much have you increased inspecting foreign cargo to check for illegal substances?\nThere are still migrants flying into Canada and walking across the border being picked up by the bus load transporting them to sanctuary cities like New York. What are you doing to prevent migrants use your country as a stopping point to walk into the US?\nYou need to do more. Look what Mexico has done.
2025-03-04 0
CNN, why are you not calling out Trump's lies? In 2024, less than two tenths of one percent of fentanyl entering the US in 2024 crossed the US-Canadian border. This was NEVER about fentanyl. This is about Trump financing his billionaire tax cuts buy imposing huge sales taxes on American consumers. It's a stealth tax increase tha.t is targeted at low and middle income Americans. Trump is a liar, a crook, and a moron, a rapist, and a traitor. Every line you guys utter should underscore those facts. If you can't do your job, then STFU and shutter your offices. You are of no value to anyone but the criminals in the White House.

Can Trump Become a Dictator Like Putin? \nTrump has authoritarian tendencies, but turning the U.S. into a full dictatorship like Putin’s Russia would be extremely difficult. Here’s why: \n1⃣ The U.S. Has Strong Institutional Barriers \nUnlike Russia, where Putin gradually dismantled democracy, the U.S. has checks and balances (Congress, courts, states, the military). \nTrump tried to challenge the system, but courts often ruled against him, showing that he doesn’t have full control. \nTo become a true dictator, he would need to take over the judicial system, military, and elections—none of which are fully in his hands. \n? Example: \nTrump lost multiple court cases on election fraud claims, proving he does not yet have absolute control. \n2⃣ He Lacks Full Control Over the Military & Law Enforcement \nPutin controls the Russian military and secret police, allowing him to silence opposition. \nIn the U.S., the military swears loyalty to the Constitution, not the president. \nTrump tried to use the military against protesters, but military leaders refused, signaling that they wouldn’t blindly follow him. \n? Example: \nOn Jan 6, 2021, Trump encouraged an attack on the Capitol, but the military did not intervene on his behalf. \n3⃣ American Democracy is Deeply Embedded in Culture \nUnlike Russia, where people are used to strongmen leaders, Americans are culturally resistant to dictatorship. \nU.S. citizens, journalists, and activists openly resist government overreach, making it harder for an authoritarian to rise. \nFree press and independent media make it difficult to spread unchecked propaganda the way Putin does in Russia. \n? Example: \nTrump was impeached twice, showing that Congress still holds power over the president. \n4⃣ Trump’s Path to Dictatorship Would Require More Control Over Elections \nPutin rigged elections, eliminated opponents, and rewrote laws to stay in power. \nTrump has tried to change voting laws and delegitimize elections, but the system still blocked him. \nIf Trump could fully control elections, he could remove opposition and rule indefinitely. \n? Example: \nHe’s trying to install loyalists in key election positions for 2024, but this does not guarantee full control. \n5⃣ Could He Still Try? Yes. Could He Succeed? Unlikely (For Now). \n✔ Trump has authoritarian instincts and wants more power. \n✔ He is trying to weaken institutions to increase control. \n✔ But the U.S. system makes dictatorship much harder than in Russia. \n✔ Unless he completely controls elections, the courts, and the military, he cannot rule like Putin.

Please explain to Governor Trudeau, of Canada, that when he puts on a Retaliatory Tariff on the U.S., our Reciprocal Tariff will immediately increase by a like amount!

Trumps net worth increased drastically by launching Trump coin. Guess who most probably bought most of Trumps meme coin? Guess who is going to dump Trump coin when Trump does not act according to the Kremlin agenda?
2025-03-04 0
It has nothing to do with curbing fentanyl smuggling nor increasing domestic manufacturing. It is strictly Trump scheming to gouge even more money from the consumers and laundered that into the pockets of himself and his friends. Nothing more. He knows all of the costs will only get passed onto the average consumers.
2025-03-04 0
Not inflation. Its non inflationary increase to cost of living. Two VERY different things. Sneaky guy tried to sneak a quick one in there.
2025-03-04 0
Here's the one thing that's missing. This will Unite Canadians and increase the schism of Americans.\n\nWill it be tough? Yep. Are we tough? Yep.

trump is a megalomaniac and he only cares about his own personal power and increasing it, at the cost of everyone and everything else. he is acting like a russian agent.

Increase the price of oil exporting to US by 25%
2025-03-04 0
Canada is a drug and criminal haven. Trudeau is an absolute liar. He increased prices on all of us Canadians and he dares say Trump will do that. Our country is a threat to the USA. We are open friends with the PLA. Please America take us over. The Chinese have control here and the Indians are replacing us.
2025-03-04 0
So, to understand Donald's logic here, in order to reduce the money making on drug gangs, he is increasing costs on normal people ! ?
2025-03-04 0
This feminine man is a joke! Shame on CNN to give him air time. He is so stupid that he doesn’t understand that whatever he increase in tariffs, will be added to the tariffs imposed.
2025-03-04 0
Maybe people in the United States should educate themselves on basic economics before they cast a vote. Better yet, increase your vocabulary so you know definitions of buzzwords like “tariff”.
2025-03-04 0
Ask how Canadians are taxed far more than a tariff, GST tax, HST tax, PST tax, carbon tax (increasing 25% April 1), federal income tax, provincial income tax, capital gains tax, land transfer tax, airport tax, luxury tax, fuel surcharge tax
2025-03-04 0
Canada will just sell items to the EU and China, at zero tariffs, and tariff US products. US auto prices will increase to a point if unsustainability. The US will become more and more isolated. US GDP will shrink. An international disaster is unfolding becasue of a 14 year old mentality leading the US, The Orange Scourge.

we Canadians despise this blackface Trudeau \na little info on this socialist mascot \nJustin Trudeau's corrupt and unqualified government has increased the Canadian federal debt by more than all previous Canadian governments in history combined.\nHis track record displays complete incompetence, with literally no substantial accomplishments in eight years. He is morally empty, completely corrupt, and ignorant. His arrogance is disgraceful, but it's typical behaviour for narcissists.\nHe has legalized hard drugs and issues them out for free. He encourages citizens to end their lives if they feel depressed, by promoting his assisted dying program. He has also increased the catch and release of repeat violent offenders.\nHe Used the Emergencies Act to Lock Up Protesters and Freeze Bank Accounts\nHe Has Multiple Cases of Direct Illegal Interference with the Justice System\nJustin Trudeau is a master of failure. Turn the page, shut down the committee, fire the Attorney General, throw fellow cabinet ministers under the bus, lie, shift the blame, and accuse your opposition of the very crime you're committing.\ni can keep going

You need to put a 25% export tax on your energy, minerals, and oil. It will increase the price of everything in the US immediately.
2025-03-04 0
Lmao. As if the 51st state has many materials other countries and the United States don’t have or can’t make. But the other way around, good luck… oh and best increase that military budget lmfao.
2025-03-04 0
Yeah...support the company's and extend the EI benefits. Who's going to pay for that?! Increase our taxes?? I'm already paying over 40%! Idiots.
2025-03-04 0
The Canadian president’s approach to this situation seems highly immature, especially by pressuring the U.S. to contribute even more funds to this war. Forcing a 25% price increase on the American people is not just irresponsible—it feels outright malicious. This kind of leadership doesn’t serve the people; it only fuels further economic strain. Truly disappointing
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau is the biggest crook, he is getting richer every day as the WEF puppet that he is and he hates Canada. This sob is increasing carbon tax on April 1st more and Canada is way too stupid to see through his lies.
2025-03-04 0
Given how tariffs work, surely the response should have been not to retaliate?  \nRetaliations will increase costs for Canadians!? Trump's administration want a trade war. There has to be some covert devious evil plan. Ignore the fools. Don't play into their hands.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau worried about tariffs what about the carbon tax increase by 63 percent on April 1st ?Canadians are tired of fake taxes !!!!

I’m so ashamed of our country. This is going to cause global economy collapse. This is going to hurt everyone, and country, and corporations. Trump knows what he’s doing. He’s working with Putin to cause this- global plutocracy. Thank you for speaking truth to power. Maybe now, it will sink in to people. We pay, not ??. They are force to put tariffs on their goods, who do you think pays? This is ?, peanut butter, Aluminum foil, etc. I suggest start stocking up. In about two weeks increased prices will hit the shelves.

Could Canada Win a Trade War?\n Trump has waged Economic War on Canada in order to bring us to our knees so that we will eventually capitulate to become the 51st state.\n\n Had he come in a nice way, as a friend verses a foe, he would have had a lot more interest, especially from Alberta. \n\n Now that we are here, the question has to be asked, can we actually win a trade war that has probably been extensively war-gamed by the U.S.?\n\n Our politicians want us to go toe to toe with a 900 lb gorilla. The U.S. economy is at least 10 times our size and are less dependent on our trade than we are. We may give them a black eye but they could rip our arms and legs off. \n\n Retaliatory tariffs play into their hands. It’s the perfect excuse to increase the tax to 50 or 100%. So will we do the same? This would devastate us, achieving their goals.\n\n Canadians are already fighting back without the government making things worse. People are boycotting U.S. goods en masse and cancelling travel plans, etc. and this is already having a strong effect.\n\n Some say turn off the electricity and oil, but who will pay price? It will be the businesses and employees, not the politicians who are now trying to act tough. If we want this to turn into a real kinetic war, then turning off the taps may do it. \n\n We have seen countless times where politicians tell us what we want to hear, making us think they are heading is a certain direction, only to find they do the exact opposite. This proves you can not believe what career politicians say and have to go by what they do, or don’t do, instead. Yet now, they confidently declare that Canada will never become the 51st state. This should raise eyebrows. \n\n Almost all of the MPs and Premiers are unanimous in entering into a trade war we can not win. After tariffs go ballistic, our dollar drops to .35 cents, and we get utterly crushed, I can see them say, “in order to save what’s left of our economy and society we must reluctantly join the U.S. or face certain destruction”. \n\n Not only would the decades old goal of a North American Union be accomplished, but we would take a large step towards the video statement that the World Economic Forum - WEF posted on their website. “By 2030, you will own nothing and be happy”. \n\n The WEF is working with the UN to achieve their Agenda 2030 goals and is what Pierre Poilievre and the “Conservatives” signed Canada onto Sept. 27, 2015. This is what Trudeau has been implementing. Mark Carnie, Pierre, and Jagmeet Singh would finish off the job. Read the redistribution of wealth goal #10. Are you feeling poorer yet? Remember, one has to dig deeper to see through the document’s ultimate double speak written for public consumption. \n\n There is much more going on than meets the eye. Our best defence is to not play into their hands. A much better plan needs to be developed by minds who see the big picture for creative solutions, and it does not seem to be those in office now

Like I've said before or two other blogs, this man should not be up there addressing CNN or any other network or any population. Whether it be Canadian or American. He has no right to be there. He is not the prime minister of this country anymore. He has no right to be making policies or to be imposing tariffs or doing anything else of the sort. Furthermore, he is also politically, unsavvy and ignorant. He in his running the mouth speech this afternoon. Insulted Donald Trump again by calling him dumb. I'm telling you that will not go very well with Mr. Trump and I wouldn't be surprised to see additional tariff percentage increased on the 25% already in place. Justin Trudeau is not a prime minister. He is a thug, an absolute idiot, a moron and any other adjective that you can find to describe someone who is totally and completely incompetent and incapable of implementing policy or running a country.
2025-03-04 0
So why battle with tarrif? If America want to increase tarrif why battle it out and just show the world that America is wrong doing it. Or maybe President Trump just want you replace because you keep calling him dumb. ?
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau’s a liar. He once said confederates were causing trouble in Canada.\nTrump is trying to broker a peace deal. You have to use diplomacy with Putin.\nCanada always had tariffs on the US. Trump tariffs are for a reason.\nYou should have dropped your tariffs you always had on us.\nBy His own admission He did not increase the number of fentanyl stops.

Does it increase orange juice price?

Congratulations Mr. Trudeau, you finally sound like our Prime Minister should. Now start making this country self sufficient so we don't have to rely on anyone. No more selling off our Crown corporations our land and other businesses to foreign countries. Keep Canada Canadian and give jobs to born Canadians first. Stock pile our oil and gas for our use and lower the prices of these things so that transportation cost make things easier for business and personal enjoyment. Don't tax the farmer so that they can supply food to everyone cheaper. We should not be struggling in this country which has all the natural resources . The unnatural population growth has put a strain on the whole system and in some cases put us in danger too. The crime rate has increased in large part to your lax immigration system. All the businesses increased the prices of everything due to this unnatural population growth. Supply and demand is not working the way it is supposed to anymore. In a normal household we make plans and prepare for changes. You just said ok, let's bring people here and forgot about the preparations. Infrastructure first man. If your going to bring half a million people over here, build the houses first bro. Nobody in Canada should be homeless which is another result of poor preparation. The housing prices and everything else went through the roof in large part due to the unnatural population growth. Anyway, think first before you act just like in a private home. Good luck Mr. Trudeau and everyone else. I hope it's not too late to get this country back on track so we can all enjoy life the way we used to....Peace

GO TRUMP FROM ARGENTINA ???? Trump is a real nationalist that stands for his country just like Milei is doing in Argentina. What has Biden made other than increasing inflation, letting illegals in and tanking the US economy?

As a Canadian my personal politics may not always be in line with other citizens of the world, however I can respectfully agree to disagree, allowing more dialogue and discussion to continue in order to reach an agreeable compromise to find the best winning formula for all concerned. \nI have watched and listened to many American politicians from John F Kennedy to Joe Bidden, to leaders like Marin Luther King, Malcolm X, Bernie Saunders, all have something in common, respect, decorum, world knowledge, integrity, truth, honesty, honour, and heart. \nStrength is when you are able to reach out to lift someone up not to knock them down. Even the greatest professional boxers know the difference of being humble and kind when there advisory is in trouble. \nFor the first time in the history of your country you have a bully, narcissist and pathological liar, who is vulgar and unpolished as a man, father and as the President of your nation.\nI have seen our own Canadian leaders, make mistakes, stumble and fail, however they displayed grace and admitted to their shortcomings.\nI have never seen a world leader be obsessed with things such as plastic straws, pennies, flushing toilets, Hannibal Lecter, Arnold Palmer's manhood, a leader who's completely obsessed with selling souvenir and bubbles while his citizens are homeless, hungry, jobless, with runaway inflation so that something as simple as a dozen eggs are now a luxury item. \n\nYou have a president who spends millions of dollars so that he can play golf at one of his own properties, meanwhile his country is neglected. \nA brief look at his past record the pandemic under his watchful eye would have you drink bleach as a cure as many died and billionaires increased their combined wealth by trillions of dollars while the middle class and poor suffered. \nThe opioid crisis was settled under his watch which let Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family avoid jail time for committing the death and destruction of millions of lives in America. Yet Donald Trump is obsessed with the drug cartels in other countries yet he overlooks those terrorist in his own country. Is it because they are billionaires and potential cronies of his?\nRather than be completely obsessed with tariffs and creating the next disaster with his Trump Gaza Holocaust Resort, Your leader could be looking at fixing the country's infrastructure of roads, brides, tunnels, ensuring a healthy supply of drinking water, rail, housing for the homeless, affordable health care, affordable education, etc.\n\nDonald Trump is surrounded by his clowns is not just making a mockery of your country but is leading you into a very dark hole. \nThe shame and humiliation that Donald Trump has brought to your country since his inauguration will take years to correct if he is stopped now. If you the American people wait four years, WW Three will be here and it will take centuries to recover. \nTHE FUTURE IS NOW, NOT IN FOUR YEARS. AS AMERICANS YOU MUST BE WILLING TO ENSURE A TOMORROW FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.... UNDER THE CURRENT REGIME YOU ARE HEADED TO A DEAD END.

Now the SHEEPLE will not focus on real issues of declining Infrastruture, Healthcare, Housing crisis, increasing govt. survillance, shrinking individual freedoms, rising inflation, declining standard of living, sky rocketting debt & credit card crisis, affordability crisis, joblessness, high unemployment rates, increasing govt deficiet (national debt) and the list goes on.. BUTpeople will bebrain washed to suffer & sacrifice more for this fake conflict between the ruling class on the two sides of the order and across the pond.

Canada’s Retaliation Against the Smoot-Hawley Tariff (1930)\nOne of the most immediate and severe retaliatory responses to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff came from Canada, which was heavily dependent on trade with the United States. Canada was the largest export market for U.S. goods at the time, and when the U.S. imposed high tariffs on Canadian imports, Canada responded with its own punitive tariffs on American products.\n\nBackground: U.S.-Canada Trade Before Smoot-Hawley\nIn 1929, about 75% of Canadian exports went to the U.S.\nCanada was also a major supplier of lumber, wheat, cattle, and minerals to American markets.\nThe two economies were deeply intertwined, and Canada had traditionally followed a low-tariff trade policy with the U.S.\nCanada’s Response: Retaliatory Tariffs (1930)\nPrime Minister R.B. Bennett responded to Smoot-Hawley by raising tariffs on American goods, specifically targeting products from the U.S. Midwest and industrial centers.\nCanada increased tariffs on over 16 U.S. goods, including:\nFarm machinery\nAutomobiles\nFruits and vegetables\nTextiles\nThese tariffs redirected Canadian trade away from the U.S. and toward Britain and other Commonwealth nations, under a new imperial preference system.\nEconomic Consequences\nFor the United States:\n❌ Sharp decline in U.S. exports to Canada\n\nU.S. exports to Canada dropped by 55% between 1929 and 1932.\nAmerican automobile and farm equipment industries suffered severe losses.\nMany Midwest farmers, who had relied on Canadian sales, went bankrupt.\n❌ Loss of a major trading partner\n\nCanada sought alternative suppliers in Britain, Australia, and other Commonwealth nations.\nThis permanently weakened U.S.-Canada economic ties, forcing the U.S. to reconsider its trade policies.\nFor Canada:\n✅ Diversification of Trade\n\nCanada strengthened trade ties with Britain and other Commonwealth countries.\nCanadian exports to Britain increased, helping Canada avoid complete economic collapse.\n❌ Short-term economic pain\n\nWhile Canada successfully retaliated, the tariffs raised prices for Canadian consumers.\nThe Canadian economy still suffered from the global depression, but it recovered faster than the U.S. by diversifying trade.\nLong-Term Impact\nPermanent Shift in Canadian Trade Policy\n\nCanada moved away from dependence on the U.S. and pursued closer economic ties with Britain.\nThis weakened U.S. economic influence in Canada for decades.\nRepeal of Smoot-Hawley and the Start of U.S. Trade Liberalization\n\nThe failure of Smoot-Hawley contributed to the Reciprocal Trade Agreements Act (1934) under Franklin D. Roosevelt, which lowered tariffs and encouraged bilateral trade deals.\nU.S.-Canada trade eventually recovered, but the economic damage lasted for years.\nConclusion\nThe U.S. intended to protect its industries, but Smoot-Hawley backfired by provoking Canada’s retaliation. This case study highlights how tariffs can damage relationships with key trading partners, disrupt industries, and reduce exports, ultimately harming the economy.

Good Job Trump-Bots. I hope you're happy. That dude came in office increasing unemployment by firing American citizens and making enemies all around the world
2025-03-04 0
There were two things that Canada had to do to avoid Trump's tariffs. Increase our Defense spending and stop the flow of drugs and illegal aliens entering the US thru Canada. Trudeau only talked about the drug issue. If Trudeau cancels the $ 40 Billion unsolicited contract to SNC Lavalin, and instead gives that $ 40 Billion to Canada's military to buy new weapons and train more soldiers Trump will, I am positive, immediately drop the tariffs against Canada!

You’re damn right the citizens in Canada are going to feel the pain. Your family must had better realize this and set aside your carbon tax for April so we the Canadians are not only going to suffer from the tarrifs but an increase in our taxes. We do not make the kind of money, benefits, pension that all of parliament enjoy and can weather through this.
