Not just India but specifically from Punjab. Most of them come on trash college degrees and work ubers and other small jobs. They're different from the educated Indians you see in corporates who try to blend into the culture. But can you really blame them? You go to any village in a developing country and offer them this life, they'd be stupid not to take it. Its Liberals and NDP who have facilitated this for their vote bank. They need to be held accountable.

As the daughter of an immigrant, I am all for diversity, but this has gotten out of hand. I don't need to book a trip to New Delhi. I just need to take the Go train to Brampton or Mississauga. And from what I saw on my layover, Calgary too. Every woman I know, myself included, has been sexually harassed and/or assaulted by an Indian man. I have also been threatened with physical violence by an Indian man in a turban. Not to say that violent men are all Indian, but I don't feel safe at all in Toronto.

Being an Indian living in India I can tell you one thing that mostly people who are not 'good enough' in anything pay lumsum amount of money to move to Canada. For instance, most of the students going to Canada for study, lack foundational knowledge that should've been taught to them at school. Take a GRE-like exam by randomly selecting Indians residing in this area and u will understand what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, the current Canadian govt knows this and capitalise on this problem as they have turned the education system of Canada into a money-vending machine. Furthermore, no skill development opportunities and lack of jobs intensify these problems as these individuals are never exposed in a multicultural urban setting. That is why likeminded individuals aggregate and live in silos. Lastly, for my Indian brothers and sisters, I would like to say that yall should try to assimilate with the culture rather than live in silos. That doesn't necessarily mean yall should abandon ur religion and culture, but try to participate more in various activities associated with Canadian culture. Like Im a Hindu, but I participate in Eid & Christmas as well in India.. We should be open to new experiences, especially when moving to a foreign country, one should be able to adapt.. just like one adapts to the weather, one should also embrace the culture.. Try talking to people who are 'non-Indians', have a genuine conversation, find out the history of the place and various other key milestones in the region.. mostly engage in amicable social behaviour. Holding grudge & closing doors to new interactions would not solve anything, neither for Canadians nor for immigrants.. Live and let live.. Cheers!

As an Indian these so called students were dumb to leave India where growth is taking place and go to Canada, I think in long run it is good if a few get dissed. The stupid fascination with western country is purely dumb. \n\nSome even have a lower pay in Canada then India, and the leaving conditions and white collared workers becoming blue collared. It's a free country and you can't ask a Sikh to remove his turban or a hindu to stop going to his temple. Instead why not white people try to teach their kids the value of education and learning new skills so that they won't turn to junkies and homeless in their 60s relying on churches to feed them?!

Many Indians have a huge desire to leave their country and go abroad for a better life and are willing to do whatever it takes. Credit where credit's due, but there are consequences.

Growing up in Toronto during the mid 70-80-90's and as a child we used to have to take the Subway, to a Street car then a bus alone from Dufferin & Bloor area alone as a 10 &+ yrs old. Without worry , immigrants were primarily Asia's & Jamaicans which were peaceful, respectful. The Indians etc immigration has Increased crime rates, Toronto used to be amazing. But when is enough..... ENOUGH! I'm personally leaving my once beloved country. Immigrants aren't assimilating to OUR ways, yet if going to theirs, we would HAVE TO! Friend lives in a small town. She was excited that there was a new Dairy Queen opening up. Figured she could get a part time job there. Nope, Indians bought the building, bought the apartments upstairs, and aren’t hiring anyone because they brought all of their own people. When is this crap going to stop? They are moving into condos now. Only a matter of time before they move their entire families into condo buildings and take the whole thing over. When one India migrates overseas, he will bring his wife, children, parents, his wife's relatives and families, their friends, and the list goes on. The problem is the Canadian government is just giving Indian immigrants citizenship, money, housing, etc in a heartbeat, whereas immigrants from other nations have to go through long processes that take months in order to stay in the country, get work permits, etc.

What are the colleges, and universities issuing more and more study permits, and offer letters for one particular country? Who is taking the responsibility? \nNobody. \n\n2. Who let them build large temples, mosques and statues in this country? Who permitted to celebrate a mass rallying on public roads? Who is permitted to make a loud noise in a public place? \n\n3. Why are so-called Canadians (especially younger) not getting a higher education? Not willing to get a master's, or Ph.D.’s or even high school education. Why they are willing to get minimum-wage jobs? \n\n4. Why do these Canadians depend on social welfare system even if they can contribute their talent, and labour to this beautiful country? \n\n5. Why do we as a country face a lack of productivity issue rather than our south neighbour USA?\n\nI'm also an immigrant who came to this wonderful country (again I'm not Indian). But what I see, is nobody going to take responsibility for this social, economic and political issue. Liberals complain to conservatives, conservatives point to liberals and so on. But I would say both parties and Canadians let them play their games on this soil now they blame each other. \n\nOne last thing, I respect Canadian culture that’s why I'm in this country. If I can’t respect or adopt Canadian culture I won’t stay here and if I am in India I will respect their cultural values from my heart. If not I'm leaving.

Why is the concept of multiculturalism so hard for Canadians to understand ?\nThis isn’t your country. Also, there are times when I walk in the mall or if I go to Walmart and I am literally like the only white person in the store. Absolutely crazy. It’s a complete take over and something needs to be done about this art immigration. System is crap and broken. In Surrey BC it is full of east Indians and the gangs are nuts. There’s always shootings in broad daylight. Of course the politicians don’t do anything about that and the police are useless.

I don’t like it. This country isn’t really multicultural. It just consists of mostly rich, wealthy Asians, and a ton of east Indians, who contribute nothing to this country, other than taking up low, paying low skilled jobs. I’ve also worked at jobs were none of them spoke English, so yeah that’s obviously a safety issue. And they also don’t immerse themselves in integrate themselves with Canadians. I can go on and on and on about this, so yes, a conclusion is there is obviously a problem in this country.

I grew up in Malton (borders Brampton) in the 1980's and it was all Western European and Canadian folks and it was great. Such a sense of community and everyone knew everyone. Us kids would stay out until the street lights came on and played in Parks. It was really safe. We moved away in 2006 because the area had gone such down hill by 1999 and the crime was horrible. Stolen cars, alcohol and drug abusing Punjabi folks and the domestic partner violence of the Indian men beating the crap out of their wives was insane. (I had a friend that was a Peel Region Police officer who ended up leaving because she couldn't take seeing it any longer). I have nothing against Immigration, because my dad was an immigrant, but I do have a problem with the amount of any one country we let in, and the types of people that we let in that contribute to crime and area degradation. It's so sad the slums that have become in Brampton and Malton since we left. I'm glad we got the heck out of there when we did. I feel sorry for all those that are stuck there still. Furthermore with such an influx of immigrants into one area it has driven the house prices and rent through the roof because the pace of immigration was nowhere near the housing starts, and cities think that everyone needs to be packed in like sardines and when you have that many people living in close proximity and you have such expensive living costs it's a disaster waiting to happen and it brings along with it tons of crime and drugs. The Trudeau government really messed up this country and the GTA Cities like Brampton are a shining example of that. It's sick that we pay as much as we do for government at all levels that are this idiotic. It's time we protested in the street and made the government at all levels fear the public again or it's never going to change.

We have the same problem. I actually like the people, but….somehow, immigrants have managed to have been able to acquire the vast majority of retail jobs in our area. How is that possible? There are businesses and fast food chains with not one white person working as an employee. I spoke to a former worker that was at one of these businesses for years and asker her WTF happened? She told me that the company hired a new manager from India, within 6 months, half the staff were Indian, local students were not being hired for part time jobs, only Indians, by the end of the year, every single employee was Indian. \nShe along with other quit their jobs because….not because they’re racist, but because not only were they being treated differently than the now majority brown workers, but they were being made to feel excluded because…the manager and the new staff all spoke a different language, they would all work together in a group not speaking English at all, saying things and laughing making it pretty obvious that they were making fun of the white employees. The “manager” would ignore the white staff’s complaints and he would then seemingly punish them by giving them less hours, change their duties and give “the good shifts” to the new brown people to the point where the white people were made to feel alienated as well as cutting back their hours leaving them with not enough hours to make a living. “This is Canada Mother Fecker” these people need to speak our language when they’re in public or at the workplace with “Canadians” or…employers should fire them. I will note, that the A&W that this happened at, has changed not only by every single employee being brown, but the service is not near as friendly, they all speak to each other in a different language behind the counter.. the seating area is not even close to being clean, the tables usually are left with trays and garbage that aren’t being cleaned as customer leave. It so bad sometimes that I literally have to pick a dirty table and remove the garbage myself because every available table has not been cleaned….and the bathrooms …. I don’t even want to talk about it they’re so disgusting. And when you complain….they turn to other employees and speak a different language… so we have no idea about WTF they are actually doing or saying about the issue. “ Thank you Sir, we will take care of that.” And the next day…it was the same. I’ve stopped going there along with everyone that I know…our work crew along with our families can no longer support such a dirty, rude and disrespectful business.

There are foreigners in india that live there (thats okay) - Theres 550 “Canadian” companies operating in India ?? (thats okay), many many Canadians amongst other foreigners go to India to seek medical therapiea for 1/10th of the cost (thats okay), the British invaded india, looted her for 300+ years, killed their men, raped their women, sold them as slaves (thats okay), your channel is spreading hatred and giving rise to bigotry and hatred mister. Lets us not forget, this land belongs to Immigrants- Includes your great great grandparents who came here, killed the innocent natives, snatched away their lands, separated mothers from babies, some empathy is all it takes. For a minute close your eyes and imagine being deprived, imagine being starved, imagine being looted, imagine your world burned down - Thats what people around the world went through in the hands of the western hypocrisy- Canada is no saint nation, rather the very opposite. \n\nAnd if you really have sentiment against indians, stop benefitting from India and try to function on your own. ?I would like to welcome with open arms any and every Indian,Paki,Arab and African to Canada. Its all yours to take. Don't forget to apply for all the benefits that the taxpayers provide. BTW I left in 2004 not knowing what was going to happen. Best decision I ever made.

Lifetime Canadian here; housing crisis for sure, but what`s even more insidious is many entry level jobs such as fast food industry, production workers in factories, and even culturally significant cornerstones such as Canadian Tires are being owned and operated by East Indians, going so far as to play Indian music over their loudspeakers for us Canadians (both at a McDonald`s and at a Canadian Tire). It`s obnoxious and border lining on reverse racism; because trust me, these people will drive out all the nationals, and replace them with their own temporary workers, whom they have much more control over, and are likely infringing on human rights concerns (taking passports, multiple human occupancy housing), it`s a mess here. If you live in Ontario, Alberta (lots of Indian corruption there and in BC) and British Columbia, you know exactly what I am talking about.\n\nI am actively trying to get out of Ontario and ultimately and ideally, Canada.

That's the problem..We Indians go to other countries and are treated like sshit..We need to stay in India and make India great..We are Indians , we don't need to take this type of atitude from anyone.

As an international student from India at a top university with a scholarship, I found it quite odd when I go to the Tim Hortons near McgIll or literally any food shop in Toronto and found talking to the guy/girl taking the order in Hindi. I am like bruh wtf I went from India to mini India, wasnt studying abroad supposed to be a difficult prospect. The senseless immigration that happens through diploma farms, that only increase the population of unskilled immigrants needs to stop. Like Canadian healthcare is on the verge of collapse, cuz u dont have enough doctors yet you want 200,000 more TimHortons workers from Punjab. I do not understand this policy. \n\nI also question the impeccable brain power of the Indians who leave the comfort of their family and home (which imo has massively better healthcare system) to come here and then live a life of hardship due to not having proper education or just not having enough money.

People who migrate from countries like Pakistan/India to western countries like US tend to follow their culture more than the people in their respective countries. Take a look at youtube videos from Pakistan and notice what % of women wear traditional head gear. The percentage comes down drastically in the case of educated/middle class people. Same goes for Indian people in US. Almost everyone teaches their daughter traditional dances from India. If you were to go to India, hardly anyone teaches their daughters these dances. Hardly 1 to 5% people whereas its kind of close to 80% or even higher in US. They think they are missing out on the culture and overdo it in western countries. I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. Or probably didn’t even know that it is doable.\n3) Employment- I am glad to see you found a skilled workplace somewhat related to your career. If you had to go through odd jobs, you would have left Canada within a month. \n4) Hospitals- Indian Government hospitals works the same way. Priorities go to life threatening patients first. But as an ex-Indian, we love spending arms and legs of money. Our loved ones survive going in private hospitals without insurance. \n5) socializing & jokes- I think you should’ve moved to Brampton so you can be part of the ghettoized community we have created there. so what day by day their crime rates are going high, we can at least understand the joke we can laugh on there. And there is no home sickness feeling.\n6) Weed!! - India has legalized alcohol, tobacco consumption. It does not mean anyone can go buy this. Even to buy legal weed in Canada you have to show your ID. Everybody knows that you have to do all the work yourself,no maids, cooks, etc. like India.These facts have been there for years, nothing new about them. If people want to got there for further education, it is different, but then Canada is not all that good as far as higher education is concerned, there are better countries to choose from with better weather conditions and better lifestyle and high class education. Who would want to live in a cold and inhospitable country, payig through your nose. Here in India, if we fall sick even with just cough / cold, we can go to the nearest doctor and get medicines, sometimes we can even just ask the pharmaists to help us to choose some medicines for pharmasist here are half doctors.\nEven our standard of living has become so good, that we don't even feel like shifting to a new country. We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. I'm not Indian, I'm indigenous from Canada and I grew up in Vancouver, where the population is mostly from Asia. Being surrounded by people of asian descent is very normal for me. I don't expect anyone to assimilate and lose their culture to exist here. I knew we had a large population of Sikhs here but I didn't think it was nearly as many as in India... and now I find out there are more sikhs here than in India. Amazing. I also didn't know we had so many Sikhs in parliament, let alone Indians. My school is mostly Indian and everyone I talk to has come from Punjab. Everyone seems to love it here, and the school is in the middle of little Punjab so I've been told by my classmates it is the perfect place for the students who are homesick because they are surrounded by their community. I rarely hear English when I walk down the halls, there is even a course to learn to speak Punjabi, which I want to take so I can talk to the students who don't speak English as well. We have many large gurdwaras, and one near me I've eaten langar almost everyday for the past 10 years. Most people here know Sikhs to be very generous and humble. It was a shock to me when I heard the president of Guru Nanak Gurdwara was shot, because I believed Sikhs to be very kind and peaceful, and the gurdwara has a very good reputation as they take lots of food into Vancouver and feed the homeless. They even opened a kitchen in the DTES during the pandemic to be able to have food available to the people immediately. No one else did anything like that. They delivered a lot of food. Now they have an auxiliary kitchen in the DTES permanently that serves free meals. I thought more news would come out of the shooting but it seemed quiet for a bit until Trudeau accused the Indian government of the attack. This news also shocked me, so I decided to start looking into it slowly. I couldn't really get a good idea of what was going on until I searched a video for Diwali and your videos came up.
