the student visa was always a backdoor to permanent resident status, when the numbers were small and the students went to legitimate colleges, and then got jobs in order to apply for their PR card via employer sponsorship, nobody cared whether they stayed or not, but when the Immigration Consultants got involved, the scam was exposed when 70,000 Indian students did it all at once which has created racial resentment from Native born Canadians and those who immigrated legally which took years

As a Canadian citizen from an Immigrant background myself, I’m all for Immigration. However, Immigration cannot be coming for the vast majority from a single country, which is India, as per Immigration Canadada own stats, 70% of international students visa were delivered to Indian students, what about the rest of the world ???? Everywhere you go you see indians, dollarama, tim hortons, walmart, and indians are not discrete. That’s why we Canadians have had enough with Indians, this mass immigration specifically from Indians needs to be stopped!

In Canada, it was way too many, way too fast. All of a sudden there were tens of thousands Indians everywhere and it freaked out Canadians. They were dominating low skill jobs which blocked young Canadians and students from employment, and cost the tax payer millions/billions in subsidized income and welfare for foreign workers. The Liberal government are idiots and incompetent at running the country, and now Trudeau is backpaddling to try to fix what he has broken. There have always been Indian migrants to Canada, but they must enter the proper way to apply for citizenship in manageable numbers. Indians must also understand that temporary workers and students does not mean you are Canadian citizens, and you will have to return home when your visa expires.

Tution is fair to every student comes from any country. Not only Indian. Studying is studying, not immigrantsion. No one told you have right to get a work visa while you get the studying visa.\nDon't do anything shame to your nation.

Student visas expire. They do not allow immediate PR or citizenship. Those rules were known and agreed to before their acceptance to Canada. \nStop claiming Indian students are victims. They are claiming to be victims, but really they are trying to circumvent legal immigration to Canada.

This is bringing a bad press for India. The Indian government should make a press release to tell its citizens to abide by the laws of foreign countries. These students should return to motherland once their visa expires.

As an Indian I would say it's a great move from Canada, should have done this earlier, their own people are unemployed, most students around the world go to Canada with students visa not to study but work and earn in dollars, government should make it very clear that students can't even work part time but recently they increased the number of hours they can work which is pathetic....

I am from India and been living in Canada for 18 years. I am living here with my family and I am so grateful to this country and respect the country and the freedom I have. The thing is homelessness is a fact that is coming from the most broken families. And here cannabis legal. I could see most white peoples don’t want to go to work, even there is enough work for them. And as a country to grow, they need youngsters for the workforce, but unfortunately Canadians people don’t have enough kids to support the country. And the kids are grown from the broken families maybe ending up in the streets. Indians are most of them only marry once and keep their marriage life till the end. So many divorce can ruin the life too. So the students coming here in Canada, how they get visa, Government don’t know that. We can’t blame them, because this is the offer they get from here. \nBut even though I am from India, I have enough from Indian people here in Canada. I always questioned the people from India either you guys respect the culture here or please go back. The reason I love Canada is Canadians are so pleasant and so helpful. Canada's peace, safety, security, and economy are being negatively impacted by some individuals who come to Canada on student visas, particularly those from India. These individuals are allegedly committing various crimes such as carjacking, theft, and other offenses to support themselves financially while living in Canada and sending remittances to their families in India. Unfortunately, their actions do not contribute positively to Canadian society or the economy; instead, they place a significant financial burden on the economy and create unrest in the community.The Canadian government must put a 5-10 year ban on Indian student and deport all those who are involve in illigal activities or does not have financial funding from their home country to study and live in Canada.

As an Indian i agree with Canadians as students were not promised the PR , they were only promised study visa. And to get pr in canada one must put in a lot of work and be eligible doesn't matter from where the immigrant came, protest won't change anything

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. This video is exclusively for students and people who are going without any research. I was on temp visa and got PR in a year. Dru*s is a problem every big city in US too. Would you say the same for US too ? Yes, Canada isn't able to take load of more people and policies aren't evolving but showing the videos of particular places and calling the whole country horrible, is same as showing population and poverty problems in india calling it poor country. Healthcare is problematic because there are not many people qualified to do jobs. In the end. if you hate struggle, tough life, foreign countries are no place cos you are starting from zero. Leaving comfort zone and moving out is always challenging. Those who moved out earned good money and came back to India are happier now cos they have the money to function in india and international exposure. It depends where you are in life now and what you are leaving behind. Indian universities are great, and studies are top-notch. However unemployment is still big issue. Canada has always been a peaceful, prosperous, progressive and a good governance oriented nation. In the recent decade, too much of woke, radical left wing ideology has penetrated into policy and public institutions that have led to Canada’s current day crisis. \n\n2. This country has always welcomed talented immigrants who are willing to integrate with the Canadian society, embrace its values, traditions and culture. However, in the last 10 years, too many refugees and reckless mass immigration has put an incredible pressure on the economy, infrastructure and social cohesion. \n\n3. The political leadership has allowed reckless mass immigration without caring to boost the economy/infrastructure to handle the volume and hence the sorry state of affairs. \n\n4. Too many immigration consultants of Indian origin engage in outright VISA frauds (yes, this is unfortunately true) leading to ppl coming in as a tourist and then seeking asylum or converting their visa into a student visa (55 year olds from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat coming here as students).\n\n5. A significant chunk of people coming from India (esp. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat) seeking a permanent residency in Canada are using student visas as a back door to claim eligibility for PR/citizenship. This is downright abusive and was never intended to be used like this. This has fueled a fake college diploma industry into Canada where “2-room” colleges have sprung up along the highways giving out fake diplomas and certifications for easy cash. Thus, the students, the immigration consultants and the fake diploma issuing colleges are all getting benefited from this scam. The internet is filled with such sting operations by Canadian officials exposing Indian students/immigration consultants. Do check them out. \n\n6. Unlike the past, the recent batch of immigrants in the last 3 years or so, make no effort at all to integrate into Canadian society and abuse the system, create law and order problem, drive recklessly, talk loudly in public spaces, litter everywhere, cross railway tracks like they do in India, steal liquor from stores, shamelessly collect food from food banks (as a way to save on groceries) that are meant for the elderly, disabled or those that are in utter poverty. It wasn’t like this ever before. In cities like Mississauga, Brampton and Surrey, the Khalistan movement + gangs involved in theft, drugs and human trafficking are from Punjab/Haryana and they have mushroomed here like crazy. Correction - our government wants immigrants, the people are sick and tired of the mass immigration. It will end when Trudeau is kicked out. There are too many here already! WE all know that these students intension to come to Canada is to become permanent residents.! The immigration agents are taking advantage of these desperate students. Spouse visa is hard for Indians because white Canadians are not attracted to Indians! (not like Filipinas). In Australia, as of July 2024, Student visa can no longer change or extend their visa. They have to go home first and re apply!

You have no idea how silly everything is in the job market. I am a computing / finance professional who is looking to switch to a new job. The first question they ask is whether I speak Punjabi? Of course, I don't! Then they tell me to find a new job. My friend who applied to Walmart got rejected because he doesn't speak Punjabi. My friend's son is trying to get a summer job at KFC but the Indian manager wont hire him because he is not Indian!!! We Canadians want to work but can't find work because they wont hire us. There is no skill shortage in Canada, just selective employers who only hire people on student permits and work visas.

The amount of money international students specifically indian students invest in getting admissions and visa here, is the amount of money they can use to get very rich education without even working and just studying and staying in a good hostel with food there in India. So, clearly they are not coming here for education, the primary goal is somehow to become a permanent resident of canada.

This is how Jeff Bezos made his billions ? - hire cheap Indian labours in Amazon warehouses. So, Polliver, when he defeats Trudeau and becomes Canada's PM, needs to introduce a Bill that Taxes extra 10% Company Tax to every employer which hires workers on student visas . This Tax revenue should be set aside for medical bills, housing of these employees and one way ticket to their home country upon completion of their studies.

No international student(or Indian) will come to Canada if there is no route to PR. Do you think Canadian colleges and universities are very high in the ranking list? Not at all. So imagine if students only had the option to return home after graduation, none will come to Canada and the economy will suffer. International students exploitation is happening on the federal level, then why bother with Provincial and colleges? These are temporary visas but ultimately, PR(settlement in a new country) is the goal, otherwise these students will not pack their lives and come over here.\n\nReference: I came to Canada in 2022 and left in early 2024. There are many reasons why I left but one I felt was the demographic shift and the amount of refugees that country accepts. Additionally Canada needs to raise the bar on the quality of people coming in. Too many Indian temporary students, the newcomers, are suffering on top of all canadians. If one of the 2nd largest population immigrates to Canada, it affects all of us. It's like pulmonary ventilation. When the volume decreases( job), the pressure increases( job crisis). All the food, Hospitalities, and health sectors are filled with temporary Indian students because of Recruiters in HR are all Indians and their priorities are only Indians as they understand these 70% Indian students have huge loan back home and came with fake financial documents that were presented at the Canadian consulate at India. Need to investigate them. Every day, there are Indian newcomers, and our Canadians homeless and Burglars are on the rise. The Govt has to stop issuing a visa now.

Studying in Canada is a trap. The standards of universities and colleges do not meet the job market requirements. The PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit) and PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) systems are traps for international students, giving them false hope that they can get PR (Permanent Residency) if they do certain things. These programs just bring in money for colleges and universities. Students borrow loans to study at these institutions. 1) The Indian government should ban student loans for studying in Canada. The Australian system is much clearer and more transparent, and it does not fluctuate like the stock market. 2) Canadians should come forward and tell the Indian media or directly inform people in India that Indians are not welcome, because many in India are unaware of this, and by the time they realize, it’s too late. 3) An easy way to get Canadian PR is to declare Themself a Khalistani supporter. .......Protest of Khalistan is okay but not okay for Visa extension

Why should Canadians support Indian international students? If you want support, finish your studies and go back to India and do not use the student/work visa route to never return. If your genuine intention to come to Canada was to study then once finished return home.
