As someone who was born and raised in the Middle East and identifies as an atheist, I have a deep understanding of the motivations and mindsets of people from the region who choose to migrate to Europe. In the 1970s and 1980s, many who fled to Europe were doing so for genuine political reasons. They were escaping oppressive regimes, whether Islamic or dictatorial, often because their beliefs as non-Muslims, socialists, or leftists put them in danger.\n\nHowever, since the 2000s, the motivations for migration have shifted. Today, many people from the region come to Europe not primarily in search of safety or to embrace a European way of life, but rather to take advantage of the social benefits that European countries offer. Unfortunately, many of these individuals support the same Islamic regimes or ideologies that people fled from in the past.\n\nIntegration into European society is often challenging, particularly when there is little incentive to learn the local language or culture. For some, the focus is on increasing family size to maximize the financial benefits provided by the state. This explains why it's common to see families with six to nine children in these communities. The goal for many is not to seek safety or assimilate into European society, but to live comfortably on the benefits available in countries like Germany and Sweden.\n\nTo address this issue, I believe Europe needs to reconsider its approach to handling migration. One potential solution could be to build safe cities in North Africa, where people can find refuge and work without necessarily relocating to Europe. This would provide a secure environment and opportunities for those in need, without overburdening European countries. The focus should be on creating conditions where people migrate for genuine safety and the chance to contribute to society, rather than primarily for the financial benefits.\n\nIf people are allowed to choose where they want to live, they will naturally demand the best possible conditions and benefits. However, if authorities take the lead in deciding where migrants should be relocated, it would likely reduce the risks associated with illegal immigration. By guiding people to safe and sustainable locations rather than letting them dictate their destination, we could decrease the incentives for dangerous and unauthorized migration routes. This approach would help manage resources more effectively and ensure that migration serves both the needs of those seeking refuge and the capacity of host countries.

Ok, Canada should study Sweden, especially post-2015 to see what happens when a toxic mixture of naivety and political cowardice takes over. All the problems have been visible for decades but we chose to kick the can down the road hoping it would become someone else's problem.\n\nThe latest move is that Denmark now wants to impose border checks with Sweden.

Again another political regime telling the people what they need is not what the people want. If they are saying it’s down to not having houses, build the houses first.

As a 905 Canadian (Toronto suburb), I want to move to the USA just for the climate difference... Politically, people are regional. I loved visiting Florida just for the difference. Buffalo wasn't enough.

Canada doesn't need anymore people from india or alike. If Canada was allowing people in from countries with similar values and beliefs then it wouldn't be an issue. It's going to take a violent revolution to solve this problem. All the established political parties here are all the same and are controlled by billionaires with a twisted vision of what they want the world to look like.

Our university age children all hold US passports. None are planning on staying in Canada after graduation. One has already left for Europe. Why would any young Canadian with options elsewhere want to remain in Canada when mainstream political thought believes it sensible to flood the labor market each year with hundreds of thousands of people, the overwhelming majority coming from two countries.

I keep thinking that people will smarten up but in fact it continues to get worst. People continue to vote for the very political party that made this all possible. \nWe cannot sustain all these people. We need to fix the issues going on in our country with our own people first before we can even think about helping anybody else. And plus with all the determination that these fighting age men that are crossing. Why can’t they use this strength like the size groups of illegals and simply fight for their own country to make things better there?\nThe cone to our county and literally spit on our rules , and want to try and change things to the way there country is and what they are fleeing from.

The west was been centuries exploiting natural resources, harassing natives, making deals with the devils and robber barons then when people from those nations seek refuge because their homeland is unlivable thanks to capitalism and proxy wars.\nThey want to act shocked that there's an influx of migrants looking for a new home after theirs is pretty much void of biodiversity, food and political stability.

Send them all to the steps of every political person who wanted this. Let these people be their problem so maybe they will actually do something about it.

As an American, I liked visiting Canada. The people are polite, respectful, and nightlife is cheap compared to the states. As far as living there, I think Canada is not desirable. 1. Weather, 2. Taxes, 3. Wants group identity over individual rights. 4. Cost.

People I know you don't want to hear this, but it looks like we may have to fight. Right now, we are in political turmoil and so they feel we are weak and would be the best time to run over us. They're not leaving unless the system puts them in jail somewhere.

I was fortunate to relocate to the Canada a few years ago. Witnessing the social issues exacerbated by ineffective immigration policies, I can understand why Canadians might feel frustrated. I'm always eager to engage with the community, but I found that many Canadians are reluctant to discuss politics or care about what is going on in their neighborhoods, and the voting rate in city elections are very low. A few months ago, I shared a city government survey designed to collect residents' opinions about the next 5-year development plan with some friends, but only one out of five showed interest in participating.\nI hope that more Canadians will take advantage of their democratic system to drive change and shape her into the country they want to live in. Back in my home country, we couldn’t vote for our government, so having democracy is a privilege—please use it wisely while you can!\nNote: I am grateful that the Canadians I’ve met have been very welcoming.

It is not anti-immigration, it’s anti immigration system cheaters. In some visible minority communities, from CBSA, MPs, immigration consultants,financial institutions (in Canada and abroad), private colleges and private businesses have formed a illegal human trafficking network to smuggle migrants into Canada right under Federal Government eyes. Canada as a whole and Canadian citizens have not been benefited from it. Only people and businesses who are in this network have been profiteering from it. Someone takes bribes, political donations, foreign students related businesses preying on people who want to immigrate to Canada.

Our Canadian government sponsors many of these migrants with job search, subsidies for employers, job skill programs, and benefits. When those services have run out, the migrants flee Canada because of our high taxes and cost of living, and they seek opportunities in America to begin again.\n\nMost Canadians are not happy about this, but our political system allows someone like Justin to win without the popular vote, and keep his office because of a third party deal propping him up.\n\nI don't resent migrants from wanting a better life, but this is an abuse of various systems, and it's causing harm to many Canadians who can no longer afford the social burden and high taxes our government graciously uses to welcome economic migrants from around the globe.

Obviously, all higher caste people are in politics, the higher caste people are protecting reservation, they want it. So that they could get all the benefits, highest greedy level of people you all and YET STILL BLAMING TO ALL LOWER CASTE, YOU ALL ARE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING the rights of education in ancient India was solely to higher caste people perticularly Brahmins, the Aryans, the education was reserved only for perticular people of India, higher castes that control entire Hinduism. And they wrote all the history as per their convenience, modified it and destroyed the real belief and real history. most of the people get jobs in India because already someone from their upper class and caste seating there holding the jobs; they have control over everything, even they buy seats for their childrens like doctors etc. you just need to write god's name on exam sheet and you get marks. So they give jobs to their communities and castes, it is not intelligent basis.. even Indian court judges, bureaucracy even MPs and MLAs. The reality of this current situation has arisen due to the fact that Israel is surrounded by nations that are actively supporting its destruction. The Arab nations are so factional that this is purely a political tool to fool those citizens who are not empowered. Turn the Jews into the boogeyman man and focus all your energy into vilifying them rather than address the inequalities within the countries who deem Israel a problem. \nWhilst the Western world is influenced by social media and to some extent main stream news outlets there is now clearly a ground swell of rising resentment within these countries. I would be very concerned if I was a Muslim in some of the previously moderate northern European nations (we know who) as there is clearly a rethinking of positions because the abuses of migrants. This will end in blood. Not that anyone wants this but I feel it is probably inevitable in one form or another.

None of the Arab states want the Gazan people or ever did. You really think the Gazan people ever wanted to stay and especially now after choosing unwisely first with the PLO and now Hamas and (several other terrorists groups that many have never even heard of) the UN calls Political Parties. The Arab world does not want them because they historically turn on everyone who takes them in and try to mess with the government and political structure. They need to stay but under Israel leadership. Hamas does not support them.

Ironically due to the economic conditions and mass immigration, younger Canadians aren’t having children anymore due to it being hard enough to get by without any dependents. I’m in my mid 20s, lots of married friends, none will entertain the idea of kids.\n\nWhat I would prioritize changing:\nA more thorough immigration process that does not favour any country over another. And spread the people out to the smaller communities that need workers instead of turning Toronto into whatever it is. An end to the corporate alliance price fixing on things like insurance, cell phones, and air travel. Reduced taxes for your first property, but additional if you own several (a system similar to what Norway does). Reduced foreign ownership in our home real estate market (home should be for families, and not financial assets for international businesses).\n\nAnd like the video said some more darn infrastructure. In my childhood, I saw entire neighbourhoods being built in - timely fashions. Now it’s rare to see a single home under construction in my home city. Some smaller Canadian towns I know even lack potable water.\n\nWith the market so bad no one wants to build or buy which is just amplifying the issue.\n\nAnd no carbon tax. I apologize for getting political, but the last 10 years the federal government seems to be more concerned with values and foreign intervention than fiscally responsible decisions. The culture can dictate the values, I just want the government to make the trains run on time.\n\nI hope it gets better soon but I think we are cooked. I know it is the second richest country in Africa in terms of GDP per capita simply because of their vast oil reserves. I’ve never voted federally because I didn’t believe in any of the candidates of political parties. (I usually just vote provincial). But this will be my first federal election because I am so tired of him. Even his own wife is tired of him. Canada wants to divorce Trudeau.

It will make you wonder how this guy got voted in. Once the liberals realize their policies are failing, they change policies and blame opposition for their failures.\n\nIt’s interesting that the ideology of Liberals in Canada is supposed to be the middle ground for most people who agree with the left and the right political policies. Unfortunately they have gone so far left they make the NDP look central.\n\nImmigrants are always welcome in Canada and should be, but we do ourselves and new immigrants no favours if we don’t plan properly. Put people into stressful situations there will be turmoil. The water is not boiling in Canada yet, but you can see the bubbles starting to form.

Of course they won't say it. But a lot of the reason we have massive immigration here is because of corporate lobbying. It brings down wages across the board. Plus our monopolies like Bell, Rogers, Lablaws get more customers. The government says it's because of our birthrate but it's not, nobody in our government has foresight like that. This gov't can't do anything right. That's because they have a different agenda about immigration than what it's supposed to be. Initially, the Canadian gov't would take in a certain amount of immigrants per year based on the needs of the country. All immigrants were vetted from those that applied through the proper channels i.e. LEGALLY. Canada needed certain types of workers to fill a need in a certain industry, it would prioritize those newcomers with those skills and education. But now, it's a free for all and it has nothing to do with industry nor economic needs. It's instead all about the numbers of voters that are likely to keep the Liberals in power. That's it in a nutshell. It's all about power and control. Same thing with catering to special interest groups. The gov't cares nothing about hard working middle-class taxpayers. And if this creates divisions among Canadians, too bad as long as it fills their purpose of staying in power forever. And they do it by lying and using political correctness and punishment for speaking up as a threat. Canadians are now accused of 'racism', 'Islamophobia' and 'xenophobia' if they even question the issue of immigration. It's all a political game meant to keep the politicians in control, well fed and wanting for nothing while the hard working Canadian is stressed to the max trying to make ends meet.

As a fairly liberal Canadian, immigration is the only subject that makes me move to the center-right politically. We don't have the ressources to feed, house and care for 1.5 million new people every year, much less the Canadians already here. Justin Trudeau has been hurting the country with his open door migration policy because he's too scared to lose his brownie points from the far left. Any other politician is too scared to say anything negative and concrete on immigration because it's considered political suicide, but the tide is changing with Canadians. We don't want anymore would be asylum seekers or foreign students working and overstaying their visas because WE CAN'T EVEN TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES ANYMORE. Yes, our birth rates are too low and we need some immigration to help close the population decline gap that will eventually come, but it can't be a free for all. We can barely afford rent, groceries, healthcare, etc. now and I fear it will only get worse in the coming years. At this point, as an early 30 something year old, I will never own a home or even be able to move without dishing out 60-80% of my income for rent. None of this is viable long term, we're reaching the point of criticality

I say send the immigrants home. Get rid of trudeau, axe the carbon tax, get pierre in. Disban the liberals and the ndp permanently and send all those workers back to a fast food style job their political services are no longer required nor wanted by over 95% of the canadian population. As a punjabi Canadian who's parents came here over 50 years ago. Watching international students abuse things like food banks makes my blood boil beyond belief. One of the things I've always loved most about being Canadian is our reputation for being kind, caring, polite and helpful.\n\nIndia has a very different mindset, it's much more cutthroat and people are taught to find and abuse any and every advantage they can. When I was younger it was always really fun watching new families come here because the difference in mindset was so refreshing to them and it wasn't uncommon for them to want to very enthusiastically be a part of it.\n\nNow I see families come from India and they seem almost offended by the idea of wanting to contribute or help improve the communities and areas they live in. In the past they could see for themselves that mindset made things better for everyone, but because there's so much immigration now, they tend to move into areas where other new immigrants are also living and getting exploited by other slightly less recent immigrants. That cutthroat mentality is all they see and feel, everyone is looking to get something from them and give nothing back. So they do the same, and attempts to show them the things I love most about Canadians is perceived as just another hustle trying to take advantage of them.\n\nNobody is happy with this, nobody wins.

I am immigrant from East Africa and I love being Canada because culture. I came canada 18 yrs ago. Canada was different now and then. I love politeness and smile canadian has when they meet new person. \n That is reason I choose to Canada but now is different. Indians do not respect people and are not open to be part of Canada. Western Canadian here. Moved away from the coast last year because of the ideological capture and literally watching the community dissolve and collapse in front of my eyes. Overwhelming drug abuse and a lack of policing or care for the general population. \n\nThe state of this country is sad. Yesterday was Canada Day, our July 4th. Virtually no flags or positive sentiment. What do we have to be proud of?\n\nI want to be clear here, I don’t blame the the immigrant populations for coming here, I blame the people that allowed them to come with ZERO plan for how to ensure they’re taken care of while not negatively impacting native Canadians.\n\nThe government created this problem, they can fix it but choose not to and instead turn us all against each other when we should be pointing the finger at the powers that be.\n\nBut I’m sure for this opinion they’ll show up at my place later for wrong think so it’s been swell everyone.\n\nGood luck out there in this absolute clown show. 1. A good student has no problem finding work or getting PR.\n2. One not good student will bring many relatives. Those people don't speak English, they are not respectful and polite.
