The problem will not be fixed in your city until you having a big turnaround of leadership. People who are accountable to this constituents. People who love this country, not hated. This is all about funneling money to rich people. We literally have 5 million Indians in Ontario alone looking to get into the USA to live and work. They came here to get PR so they dont have to wait 20 years in india to get a work visa. There are BILLIONS of ppl who in Africa, South America and Islam multiplied one thousand times in 100 yrs. Western Canadian here. Our current liberal government opened immigration to bizarre levels over the last several years I believe to get more liberal voters. Our country is in a bad way and don’t blame Trump for clamping down. Trudeau and now Carney are quite happy to keep the WEF plan going. Illegal immigrants should be held in prison, not released to a shelter. They get 3 square meals a day on top of a roof over their head when they go to prison. \nThey could even do some prison work (in prison) to pay for their stay.\nThis should satisfy NYC's shelter laws and keep the city safe.

It is actually very easy to keep the border closed in the north. Outside of roads, crossing the northern border is not going to be fun. You have the St Lawrence, the Great Lakes, Forests that are no fun to try and cross, the badlands then mountains.
