As an American, I can tell you the primary factor for many has been the cost of caring for the illegal aliens. A large number are receiving social services benefits greater than Americans in need, which has led to resentment.\n\nIn addition, some have argued (often disingenuously) that deporting illegals will help relieve our affordable housing crisis.\n\nAs the son of a (Finnish) immigrant, I'm 100% for legal immigration. However, one has to question the wisdom of accepting those whose first act on American soil is to commit a felony.

The number one problem with deporting undocumented people. I also want to see Trump go after people who helped these illegals get here–not just cartels.

I’m not a crazy Trumper when I say this, but IMO you all should put a retraction or correction. I come to TLDR for fair and unbaised news. But the confusing of “illegal immigration” and “immigration” misleads people to believe that Trump is against ALL forms of immigration, which no one believes.\n\nTLDR, if you don’t think it is misleading, then I think you all should work on communication. You need to provide more context or argument in this video about how Trump is against all immigration.

Interestingly enough, the clip where the girl is complaining about having the rent increased by $7000 is not Trudeau's fault (Liberal government) but Doug Ford's, who's Conservative and the premier (like a governor in the US) of Ontario. He removed the limits on rent increases on properties occupied for the first time after Nov 15 2018. So now, if you want make a few more bucks or just kick someone out just jack the rent so they can't afford it and have to leave (usually you can't just end a lease agreement because you want to but not anymore as you can just increase it to whatever you want). Limits exist for a reason unless you're at the top and want to make more without any regard to people that are struggling.\n\nWhat I'm trying to say is that I don't think the Conservatives will do better than the Liberals, they're just different flavours of garbage. We do need real change, unfortunately I don't think it will happen.

To all those supporting the cracking down on these ‘illegals’ there’s something I need to know. Tell me, if they folks had an option to immigrate legally, would they? Do you think it’s some kind of malicious effort to come here against the law, or are they coming here out of desperation? Many of these people come from places like Haiti, Colombia, or Guatemala. Places that the CIA and American tax dollars destroyed. Illegal immigration wouldn’t be a problem if we didn’t make the situations of many of our southern neighbors unlivable.\n\nI’m a Floridian white dude who was comparatively born with the silver spoon in my mouth, I understand America is at a point economically where the last thing we need is to be spending money on non citizens, sending billions in foreign aid abroad or on undocumented immigrants. As a long time follower of this page... it's time to unsubscribe. You should be able to differentiate between immigration and illegal crossing of the border. I'm a master's student at a top university in the US, my dream is to be staying here LEGALLY and after years of work I want to build my own family and company here. My background is checked before I came here and I'm entitled to the laws here. Unfortunately the situation is really bad with illegals as they have no papers, they can literally go away with everything. They don't pay taxes, they commit crime and don't face the consequences. A guy from my programming class told me his best friend's sister was r*ped by an Afg*n criminal and he's still out in their neighbourhood.

It really isn't a difficult matter to solve. 1) Get the actual border under control. 2) Tell Mexico; and demonstrate it to them if necessary, that you'll close the border entirely if they don't get a grip on their own southern border. The result = Poof, goes the Mexican economy. 3) Round up the criminals.\n\nDo those 3 things and you'll bring some sanity back into the system which is all anyone really wants. It won't mean 11M get deported; perhaps 1-2M at most, but if there's a sense of order again, I can't see anyone caring. Then we can talk about a possible path to citizenship for the rest.

How exactly do you expect me to fit in? I've spoken English and lived here since the age of 2. I celebrate Halloween and Christmas but not Pride Month, and I don’t eat Canadian food regularly. If fitting in means doing all those things, then I have questions. Canadian expat living in Asia. Just returned from a visit to Canada. While spending time with family and catching up with them was awesome, I couldn’t wait to be back in Asia. I’m enjoying a lifestyle here in a tropical beach that would be unreachable in Canada. Eating out all my meals, going out, attending cool events, flying frequently to nearby countries for a weekend or week or weeks at a time. Eating clean healthy food, meeting inspiring and friendly people. Typing this from the beach on a Sunday morning while enjoying my big freshly squeezed carrot juice cup that I paid 60 cents for! \n\nCanada only for visiting once a year. \n\nSave money, work remotely or better yet, learn a high income skill and live anywhere while making money online is the new FREEDOM PLAN. Get on it while you can!

Your story sounds really relatable. I was in the best shape of my life earlier this year before I went through a very intense mental health battle and gained weight and fat. I'm now ready to get on track again, but need some motivation, so this video was perfect. Anyone reading this that is planning on crossing the border. I'm gonna be frank with ya. Aside from the fact that you probably shouldn't be trying to circumvent our laws just to avoid a situation you don't like in the USA right now... you also shouldn't be trying to cross our border in what is becoming our winter season. \n\nThere are plenty who try, and many do meet a grim fate due to the elements they are just not prepared for. And even if you think you can do it, or prepare enough to do it, you still shouldn't. There isn't much you can do when you have fallen into one of the many sloughs that hide beneath the snow and ice during winter, waiting to make you a popsicle. And if you get out of that, you still have to somehow get warm again. But let's say you avoid that, what then? Well, we have these really cold biting winds that make the -30 temps feel like -40 or worse. But you came prepared, so let's say you can handle that for a bit. Well, you sweat. You will get damp, then wet, over time. Then your fancy clothing doesn't do much for you anymore. Ya dig?\n\nOh but wait, there's more. So we have this wildlife eh', and it likes to do this thing that wild life does... and it eats you. Coyotes are one such kind of wildlife. Bears are another. Both are prolific in certain areas, all the way down to the border in some cases. \n\nGranted, coyotes usually aren't a huge problem for us up here, but that's cause we know how to deal with them usually. Bears are another issue, that even we have problems with at times. You'll probably run into a black bear if you run into one. Grizzlies tend to be further north and to the west. You're gone too far somehow if you find Polar bears. \n\nThere are other critters to mention, but they're more active in the summer, like rattle snakes. (Yes, we have them)\n\nOkay, so you got past the border, and you actually somehow managed to survive the winter temps in your trek to some sort of civilization. Now you have to somehow find a place to live. This is of course assuming you decided to try to bypass all our border security of course. You could go to an embassy and declare asylum I guess. But right now, you're more likely to be given a ticket back to where you came from initially. So that's not something in the game plan for you. What then?\n\nWelcome to being homeless. Oh, and you're still having to deal with our winter temperatures. \n\nSuffice to say, right now is not a good time to be trying to ignore our laws just to do whatever you want. Consider this a fair warning, as this about all the F's I have to give over it all in regards to your safety. I just am dismayed that some of you mouth breathers are going to get your kids harmed because of it all as well.

Option 1 we gonna SPEND a HUGE amount of money to deport millions of people. \nOption 2 we filter out high crime immigrants and filter those out, after we charge $20000 each illegal for a 2 year visa and work permit as a trial time, and see how they contribute to society. \n Do you have any idea how much money will come in?? What they should do is hit pause on immigration. I believe they should grandfather in those who arrived prior to a specified year.\n\nI’m sure the majority is ok with immigration.
