I was going to buy her the items she was trying on. When I went to see if they fit I see that she had pulled of the tags. She must have learned this from her mother. Sham full what you are pedaling. This is so frustrating. I spent twelve years in the apartment industry and went through literally hundreds of hours of Fair Housing Training. I was given test shoppers on numerous occasions, just like every other property manager I knew and I always passed with flying colors because I stuck to a script and said everything the same way, even with the same tone of voice, every time. It didn't matter who was in front of me, my job was more important than anything else and that meant absolutely no possibility of discrimination. Here in the US, management companies and even the individuals onsite can be held monetarily responsible if testers find them to be discriminatory. It is very disappointing to see property staff making such bluntly poor choices. We all know better in that industry. This is the 21st century, we should be beyond this.

They are definitely NOT victims, and deportation is only fair to other honest and legal immigrants. Make them pass a language exam of at least junior high school level, like that they'll know they can't just pay their way into the life in a free and democratic country.

To be fair the situation is difficult, having worked in retail before there is plenty of shoplifting on a daily basis so I can understand why staff are trained to use procedures to make shoplifting less likely, it does result in an unpleasant experience for customers if they are misprofiled and unfortunately people do misjudge or assume that certain types of people are more likely to steal. A lot of shoplifting is actually surprisingly done by old people, and its usually not intentional, sometimes they just simply forget to pay.

I wish the United States would face this issue. I've been attacked in a store for unfair, and unfounded suspension. I am treated differently in no less than 75% of stores I go into. The employees stare me down, follow me... I'm going to start filming these people. It's not fair to be harrassed for S.W.B. It's sad, I was born this color, yet I am less than, or just plain bad before I even speak, or act in the minds of many, especially law enforcement. It's sad. It's depressing. It makes everything in life that I do in public, down to using the bathroom, getting to know new people, applying for work, buying food, or just walking down any street, so much harder. Like the world is mad I exist, and the people want me to go away.

$77 in an hour given to strangers claiming the cash you give will go for a good cause, Syrian refugees. Now we will see lots of people making money this way. “Not fair for a man to yell at a woman”. Sexist comment but no mention by Marketplace. Do an undercover investigation of sexism.

You should have sent them to sad a black owned building to see if the results were the same. Just to make it more balanced and fair.

Ok. Just to be fair, the stuff in the store is actually customer service. My skin is white as snow and when I go to one of these electronics stores I'm actually glad someone asks if I need help because half the time I'm so overwhelmed with choices of gadgets and computers, etc. that I do need help making the correct choice of product for my needs.

Moving to Vancouver was a great experience tbh, I'm of nigerian heritage but was born in Finchley, North London...\nCanadians are friendly and extremely welcoming ( Coming from the UK i found this so off-putting ) lol. Ironically its non-white Canadians i had funny experiences with.... from dating to renting its weird\n\n\nAsians under 27 always asking some crazy questions ( Are you an NBA player ) lol it's cute at first but after a while when little koreans walk up to me talking about ( You look like will smith ) it makes you think... To be fair these are not inherent negatives, But asian canadians alone did treat me weird i found, Indian girls i met all wanted to be with me but where also very ashamed to say so or let their family know, but thats a cultural thing so i understood.\n\n\n Of all the demographics White canadian and native men where the most welcoming and open to me, in my experience.. White women of-course where cool too but that does not really count, especially as a good looking black guy with an accent LOOL you know how that goes!! My Tinder and Bumble were obscene LMAO\n\nRenting from asians while black and Male!? is almost impossible!!! Except they think you have rich parents!! Its impossible in Van unless you are an Arab exchange student lol \nArab and Persian students studying english have no issues renting in Vancouver, for some reason!!\n\nI lived out the St. Regis downtown for a month, Looking for places to rent, i had seen so many places online and filled out applications but never got call backs, asides from 2 group showings i went to, i could not even set up a viewing with the apartment building i wanted... \n\nTill i met an african girl in school, and she told me something i found completely crazy.\nShe told me to make a new e-mail addy and to use my English name when i e-mail, then set up a viewing but to show up with a white friend preferably a girl and that if the owner is asian, i should look around, and offer to pay 6months upfront before they get a chance to ask what i did for work or whether i was a student or not LOL. Needless to say, i did what she said and It worked the asian lady asked me to come get the keys later that day. Its just life, as a property owner they really just wanna size you up, not fair and kind of pathetic but its not inherently evil...

Yes I ran into racial profiling when I wanted to ask why CBC is biased and won't report fairly. Being white and male, I was told that my opinion is invalid, and in spite of the taxes I pay for their wages, I don't have any say. Moreover, because I am male, CBC's supreme leader Trudeau has dictated I am not allowed any sort of platform. This is an important issue! Why do you think these sterotypes are so prevalent CBC? Crime statistics? Day to day crime by certain groups? CBC hates the question why because it conflicts with their bias as mandated by identity politics. Once I can walk through any place in Canada and not simply see, with my own eyes, the obvious differences between people based on color, or am treated like a direct decendant of slave owners by our state run media, maybe then the forty-thousand years worth of tribal cues ingrained in me will change. Are there really no examples of white men changing the narrative? No exmples you can provide for us devils to follow? No studies on private donors who are trying to help? Maybe it's time for me to stop, as there is absolutely no recognition of my attempts to make changes. The withdrawl of financial support is now my protest against your bias. What BS. the first part shows the black guy ask for a 1 bedroom place. The white guy didn't say about how many rooms, so was offered 2 separate blocks with one being 1 bedroom apartments .\n\nAlso, to make this more fair. Get the same guys to go to Black owned/run businesses.

Can you just imagine what it's like? Can you imagine being with your children, your spouse, and having to make these difficult and terrifying decisions? Can you imagine being at the receiving end of such hatred, hostility and resentment? The vile rhetoric that dehumanizes and demonizes them- can you imagine enduring all of this? All while attempting to save your family, to wish to be treated as human, to be treated fairly, to receive safety...\nbut to, instead, be persecuted, detained, separated, traumatized...\nIt's horrifying. This isn't who we are. We are better than this. We can treat people as human, with kindness and compassion, not fear and aggression. We can treat each other with love and understanding.

Unless the guys went in at the same time, this isn't completely fair to those clerks either. You don't know if the store manager just announced a contest to see who could ring the most sales. Or if the clerks were told that there were secret shoppers coming in so to make sure you greet everyone. Or, a manager who's just an a-h who has a burr under his saddle about everyone being greeted & helped. God help you if one of his friends comes in & you're the only one that didn't say something. And that survey? Totally stilted! You can make any survey say anything you want or nothing at all. If it doesn't take all of a person's life experience into it, it means nothing. The apt. thing? The 1st guy stood back from the desk & directed his question towards someone at the back of the office. The 2nd guy walked up as she was clearing her desk & she greeted him in a friendly way & the 3rd guy looked as if he walked right up to the desk & leaned in. So, where's the problem? Maybe on the way the guys presented themselves? This is typical media stirring the pot.

I feel bad for his innocent children to have to go through this. You want to live in another country, you need to follow the law like every else. You learn the language, get the same I.D. We all have to have , and be treated the same as if any American were to illegally cross boarders! What we have to go through just to have identification here should be no different for anyone else! You can’t just live off our tax dollars and government ins., food stamps etc.. While we pay for you to live here!! I don’t reap those benefits, yet I’m paying yours!! I can’t feel bad! When I go to a dr. Or dentist and an immigrant or a lazy able bodied parent gets everything done free and I’m struggling to pay with full ins.. I literally walk out so pissed off! These are straight facts!! He had fifteen years to make it right. Instead he took a shot doing it his way to reap the American benefits and the feel bad for me card!If they ever let him come back and he collected any kind of help in those last fifteen years, “if” , he should have to get proper I.D., citizenship, and pay back anything he was given! It’s only fair! He was able to save all that money tax free, hmmm must be nice! I don’t feel bad he had to spend it. That’s real life!I’m tired of watching my citizens no matter race or color, work hard paying taxes and giving their hard earned money away!!If we just let anyone walk right through our boarder than what’s the point of any American needing any I.D.??? Don’t people get why it’s so important to keep track for so many obvious different reasons!! What a fucked up situation with these poor people. It's not fair that their country of origin is so fucked up that they risk it all to leave. It's also unfair for them to think they can just make their way to the US or Canada and live there illegally. The world is a big place an there are people from all over who want to leave and come live in the US but they have to do it the right way. My cousin is from Italy and she speaks 5 languages, she was top of her class and she can't get a permanent visa to live in the US. So why is it that if she can't get in with her qualifications, why do people from South and Central America think they can just do what they want and they get mad when they get deported?

Follow our laws & traditions or GET OUT!! Don't expect us to follow your laws & traditions when we go to your countries!! When people go to an islamic country they are expected to follow the islamic laws (eg. women are expected to wear a table cloth on their head - ludicrous!!). Yet the same is NOT respected for American laws - muslims do NOT respect our traditions or they would take off the bed sheets & table cloths while they are in our countries (as we wear them for you in yours). It's only fair. If you don't like it then go back to your country and bring your creepy traditions with you. Women walking around in America with bed sheets look CREEPY and oppressed, whether you say you want to wear your table cloth or not, you still look OUT OF PLACE and MAKE yourself a minority. You segregate YOURSELVES. America is NOT interested in becoming a muslim country at ALL!!!! Follow our laws & traditions or GET OUT or don't expect us to follow your laws & traditions when we go to your countries!!

I don't care if you wear hijab but covering face all the time and refusing to take pictures for lisence and passport is not okay. also when the whole world has problem with your religion maybe there must actually be problem you have to fix and not act like you are the victims. we have right to be careful and no its not fair to you but this is what people who follow Islam faith and harm others get you. Islamic people out cry for their right but have to problem taking others away. for example wanting daycares to ban pork just because they can have porn. you should not get special treatment for you religion. I am Hindu/Buddhist and I do not ask people to stop eating beef or many other restrictions that apply to me. the pride of your religion is what's keeping you guys from sensible thinking. and no not all Muslims are the same but the percentage of people that share hatred for other religions is too great too ignore. if you want people to accept you then try becoming a part of the culture and not try to change it for your liking. show love to other faiths and athiests. stop trying to make exceptions for your religion.
