We also need to crack down on the aggressive sales practices of immigration consultants in developing nations like India. Let's not forget the big culprits behind this: the admissions officers of the colleges, who fully endorse these practices to meet their revenue targets by any means possible, all under the watchful eyes of the government and IRCC.\n\nI've witnessed this firsthand. I openly challenge those consultants and Canadian college admission officers to be upfront with prospective and future students and tell them in person, before accepting their applications, that a study permit does not guarantee permanent residency in Canada. Explain the rules behind that and see what happens next—people will stop coming to Canada altogether. Consultants and colleges need to be honest with their prospective students and not just include those important facts in a fine print under a bunch of paperwork. \n\nAnd my god, the programs most colleges sell—useless diplomas that are of no use in their home countries either. Why are you guys trying to target hardworking people? does anyone know the kind of benefits refugees get ? No cent has been paid in tax dollars by these people. In Nova Scotia, there has been unthinkable amount of PRs given to students, who did not go to any of the Atlantic Canada Universities, came here for just gaining PR IN FOOD SERVICE SECTOR and then leave as soon as their cards were in the mailbox, While I spent 9 years here in Nova Scotia and still cannot apply due to such constraints caused by these people who keep moving here from Ontario just because their province would not approve their PR. Who will make the government accountable ?

And other Canadian cities could stop collecting garbage all the time and not fix their roads because many people can't afford to pay their property taxes due to high employment. The globalists want 15 minutes cities. The federal government is assuming massive immigration will solve Canada's aging population. It won't. Health care is actually better in 2nd and 3rd countries if you have the money. Even if your home country is at war, it's still better than the drug crisis in the major cities of Canada. No joke. Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. Canada’s statistics are no different than Australia, USA and France for example in terms of homelessness and home ownership. Our foreign born population is about 20% -Australia it’s 22% - the USA the most immigrant fearing nation around has only 13% - that’s something to strive for lady!. \n\nCanada needs immigrants and lots of them to fill positions Canadian borns are too posh to do. \n\nWorld wide interest rates are high, housing developers are running into delays with things like world wide shortages and local communities having long convoluted permit processes, and volatile prices for home construction materials etc. \n\nWe Canadians are happy to buy from Chinese and USA manufacturers to the point we depend yet again on global markets. \n\nThe bottom line is the Provinces have authority over housing and haven’t wanted the Federal Government to butt in at all. I found people who blame immigration for this , ridiculous at best ! What caused this , has been decades in the making well before Trudeau and it’s government. \nBoth parties are responsible for this . \n\nThe wages have stalled for decades while everything else has gone up . Look at the minimum wedges in Australia and NZ comparing to their cost of life ? You have the same rental and real estate prices for double the salaries . \n\nLetting foreign interest buy out land and properties trough bidding wars to the point of kicking out Canadians of the market caused this . I dont understand how its anyone's concern what language people speak with family and friends or if someone does not know English. In a free country, you can speak whatever language you want, wear your cultural clothing, and eat your culture's food. why does one need to adapt to the local area? The law doesnt oblige them... Also, these indians came legally no? In a democratic Canada that let them in... people voted for this directly or indirectly. Nobody pays 4-times the tuition of a domestic student just for a degree from Blablabla college. Of course almost everyone comes for PR, because Express Entry was a stable immigration system, but now the system allows fraudulent LMIA holders to go through, and the actual skilled workers are paying the price because NOBODY can score such high score in Express Entry (current draws). The current draw cut-off scores are unrealistic.\n\nThe government allowed 90k unskilled workers to get PR through the TR to PR program (was a mistake), but now have made it difficult for the actual Federal High Skilled applicants. Canadian immigration is now so messed up, it favors the junks of the world and ignores the real skilled people. I myself have a Master's degree in Canada from a top University, have Canadian work experience, have foreign work experience, scores highest possible in IELTS, still I cannot score 529 for express entry. Conversely, a mediocre asylum seeker or fraud LMIA holder easily gets PR. Express Entry is no longer a stable system for skilled workers, it's now a lottery.\n\nBefore blaming international students for everything, you need to understand the real problem. Whether everyone is entitled to PR, NO! But, the skilled workers with excellent CRS scores (490+) should be able to stay to benefit Canada & get a good career for themselves as well. Otherwise, Canada itself will suffer from skill shortages just in a few years.

I beg to differ - yes, you can blame the immigrants, as they're the root of the housing affordability crisis both in Canada and in the United States. We seem to have mass immigration simply for the sake of having it. If we really needed cheap labor, we could have guest worker programs, or allow in only people who intend to do menial labor. Instead, everyone gets in, including a lot of criminals who reduce the quality of life, as well as others who are just taking up space and making life a hell of a lot more expensive for the rest of us.

Immigration is not the issue in a place that has that much room. The reason we don't increase the supply of housing fast enough is so that the people owning homes can see their capital increase dramatically. There are some valid points in the video. However, I didn't get it when you said there are people here who don't look Canadian and don't feel Canadian. Punjabi Sikhs from India have been part of Canada since the early 1900s, and alot more came in the 1970s.... So the sikhs have been part of Canada for a long time... I have to say that I am quite apalled to hear fellow Canadians being so openly racist--not to mention just plain ignorant. For any non-Canadians watching, let me assure you that the majority of us do not embrace or abide by these sentiments--we are for the most part a progressive, tolerant people who accept and, in many cases, welcome diversity and inclusion. We are, after all, a nation of immigrants--many of whom have escaped the oppression, injustice and intolerance that plague much of the undeveloped world--in pursuit of a better life. They bring their skills, hard work ethic and adaptability to a country that would wither on the vine without them. So, it's essential that we maintain meaningful and robust annual immigration rates to avoid the fates of countries like Japan, Italy, and South Korea: shrinking nations facing hopeless futures of economic decline and demographic collapse. We also need to maintain our pace with the behemoth to the south, or risk being utterly consumed by it. I hope and pray that most Canadians understand these basic truths--especially the younger ones. \n\nNow, I will admit that with regards to immigration and demographics there are always some logistical and pragmatic challenges that are part of any democratic, pluralistic society--of which we are, generally, a leader. And, sure, our government policies on immigration, employment, education, mental health, and housing need to be fine tuned to improve short and long term outcomes. But to place all of the blame on a single demographic slice of our overall makeup is simplistic, reductivist, dangerous and downright offensive. In a word, it is racist, pure and simple. Is that really who we are, and what we want to be? I hope not.

In my city (Windsor, Ontario) we have a college and university that have literally set up “recruitment” centres IN INDIA. I don’t blame the foreigners for coming here, they do it legally and honestly a bunch that I have talked to are struggling themselves.. I’m talking like, 12 guys to a small shared living space (which also negatively effects rent prices.. especially where I live) They expect to come here for a better life but they’re just thrown in the mix with those of us who are already drowning. \n\nThe government just stopped caring about its citizens and it’s really scary. They take the immigrants money and our taxes and they’re content.\nA friend was asked to leave a job fair because it was over capacity.. getting even a minimum wage job is damn near impossible now. \n\nAlso, question, I heard the reason that all minimum wage jobs (fast food restaurants, Walmart etc.) are only hiring Indians is because the government reimburses the employer half of their wage. I tried to do some research on this but couldn’t find anything.. is this true and being kept hush-hush? If it is, we need more people to speak out on this.

The homeless population is 99% made up of people born in Canada. Immigrants are working two jobs, some outperforming the ones born here. A lot of them doing jobs “Canadians” don’t want to do. The housing crisis has more to do with the restrictive zoning laws that make it hard to build new housing, which benefits the few billionaires who own the few construction companies allowed to operate. As a Canadian this video is only touching the tip of the iceberg. #1 Canada was built by immigrants (like my late grandparents) for immigrants, Immigrants regardless if they are here on a work or study permit are not the problem but the solution, always have been and always will be. IRCC has granted them visas: study permits, work permits, spousal permits. Once they completely stop granting these so easily, then we may talk about change. Someone or some people are profiting big time when a student comes here. They are just trying to survive, you can't blame them for that. Blame Canada's immigration policies. It's the Canadians that allow them in the first place.

Why ask immigrants to come here and then blame them for stealing jobs? We never were 10 people staying in a basement back home and had better living conditions. Jobs are everywhere but employers know that immigrants are more disciplined, hard working and appreciative of the opportunities provided, when compared to the average Canadian-born citizen.
