Salam am a Muslim 16 year old and I lived in Saudi ever since I was one but moved to Australia at 11 because of how expensive the residence card was my dad lived there for over 20 years and mum for around 11 and we viewed it as a truly amazing country its very safe and people are very helpful and kind everything id also islamiclly led when you're walking in the streets you can litterly feel the islamic spirit am talking about 4/5 years ago I dont know about now but it was the best we used to go madina every eid mecca was close so we went when we could went roude trips around Jeddah and jizan its the best think about it your kids growing up in a society where there is no alchahol, lgbtq,dr**s and islamaphobs its a qiute exspensive place but its truly amazing. The definition of a canadain is an american without a gun and public health care... otherwise it is hard to tell the difference.... Canada has almost 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skating... The province of Quebec which is still part of canada (don't tell them that) has the language police to be as anti-american and any democratic as possible, they only tolerate english if it is in US$ and tax other taxes with the most expensive bloated government of any state north of Mexico. The cartels are envious... all things purchased are imported (except animals and greenhouse tomatoes)are american with the exchange rate of almost 33%... If you are a doctor or nurse or medical specialist trained in western medicine like Europe, Australia, etc. You almost have to start over.... SAD. Like América, big cars/trucks are king, public transit is not a thing... yeh there are some buses in a few major cities, more of an after thought... The only positive thing about coming from another country climate is you have something to compare with.... Personally i was born here so where do i go... A few friends have travelled to the US but have not returned... its warmer in Texas i guess... Canadians are suspicious of Asians because they come with money and buy up property esp in Vancouver/Toronto hence the concern... As for you making friends, you seem to be very Americanized, speak English well and not so traditional except for being married... you would make a lot of people comfortable among traditional Canadians... just my after thoughts...

As a European who lived for 3 years in Canada, I have to say that Canadians - as much as I love them - are very entitled. They live in a bubble and don't realise how good they have it. \n\nTheir country is beautiful, the lifestyle is phenomenal even if you aren't rich. A lot of things they complain about like rising house prices, food costs, and political divide is literally happening everywhere - I'm really not sure why they think only Canada is struggling with this right now. Perhaps because on their strong currency they can go and live like Kings in somewhere like Portugal or Bali, but then they don't realise that they are bringing over the cost of living crisis and making things harder for locals when they do that. \n\nThey want things to be perfect, which isn't something to discourage but they don't realise how much harder life is like in most other countries on the planet. The only ones who appreciated it were the people who had lived for a few years in the UK or Paris or Australia, or somewhere else they imagined that life was easier and then ended up actually miserable and actually struggling - and then soon fly back to Canada. I have to say though I do love the sense of always wanting things to be better, whilst in Europe we tend to accept having less, less options and struggle to the extent that we don't even see it as struggle.

Similar situation in Australia. During Covid, real estate agents were asked by the Federal Government to freeze rent as a lot people were being stood down from their jobs. Now that pandemic is over, rent has gone up significantly. Our rent is going up by $70 a week in the year.

I stopped visiting Canada 40 years ago because of insane or corrupt border control policies. I traveled to Canada from California to record an album for a popular rock star. My crew number 4 people and we had reserves a month for basic tracking in a studio there. We bought our own reels of 3 inch wide recording tape because the studio wanted twice the rate as normal and since my studio was a distributor for the mastering tapes we brought from my own inventory. Each reel of tape was 3 lbs and brought 30 reels. We got to customs and they said we owed money for importing the tape. Normally a reel would have been $180, and customs wanted $38,000 x 20, and would not let us retrieve it to take it back to the US side of the border. How can a tape worth $180 suddenly have duty of $38,000?\nIt was explained to me as the Potential Value of the tape which meant AFTER a hit song was recording in it. Most recordings are total losses and the tape cant used on a new project even if properly bulk-erased. They expected me to pay on the spot $760,000 in duties. I gave up and left the tape with them. I called the artist and said we could not do the project in Canada and we went back to California. The artist came to us a few months later and the result was a minor hit, and probably barely made its production cost since the label only distributed it in Canada. I talked to an international trade lawyer about what happened and he said customs officials were wrong in Canada but they are given full latitude with no appeal so his advice was never take anything over the border that I did not mind being confiscated. Sometimes they would let it in because it was going back out in a month, but likely they sold it off and pocketed the money. The US is corrupt on a federal level but Canada is corrupt on the local level. I moved out of the US 24 years ago have a much higher quality of life than is even possible in the US, and live very cheaply. Total cost of living with a very active social and cultural life impossible to duplicate in the US which as some of the least options for culture. And my cost of living is $1500 a month, less than utilities alone for one house in California, and that is for 2 people. Last month for example I attended world class opera, ballet and symphonies 9 times, and went out to dinner, in jazz clubs or dance clubs, visited12 top museums, and it was still under $1500 for the month. A pair of tickets to the MET in NYC for lower grade performance, sets, orchestra ad theater, was $1800!! $600 for tickets to drama for 2. Here there 237 drama theaters within walking distance of my city center home, and can walk anywhere at any time of day and be safe due to VERY low crime rates. Free medical is good. I am not citizen but still I had an operation and 10 days in a vip single room for $5300 and despite my insurance I had been paying back in California $824.month, it was going to cost me out o pocket $500,000 and one day in a recovery 12 bed room, and require paid nursing attendant for 30 days. The results were great and was treated like king.\nCanadians have lost control of their government but Americas are screwed regardless, with lower than international standards for everything, with crime, corruption in Washington, extreme cost of living, no access to culture, few if any safe parks. My adopted city is not only far more beautiful than any US city, my GF can walk, alone, anywhere in a city of 7mil at any time of day through any of the 600 beautiful parks open 24/7..at 3am. There are no homeless, and 80% of those over 20yo own their home clear of debt. No college debt despite twice the % of people having degrees. The rest of the world caught up and has surpassed the US and Europe in quality of life. \n\nI have only been back to the US 5 times in 24 years and each time I am shocked by how much the entire society has declined while most of the world outside of Europe, Canada, US, UK or Australia have dramatically improved.\nEvery year since 2008 more Americans leave the US to live elsewhere than legal immigrants arrive.

Canada has very high tax with little work opportunity. Canada is only attractive for third world countries who wants to live in a decent society. But sadly they bring the same hell from which they come from and bring different values which are not secular or liberal. Sooner or later it will be a mess like UK or Sweden, where a different society will demand their religious ways. And Canada is just allowing them without the bother of integration. \nBeing a former Pakistani, who is liberal, I can tell you that most of the people do not have any intention of integration. Sadly the same is going on in Australia now.

I do want to point out there is not a lot of country that is going well. USA is about to crash and forget health care and in some care any type of insurance . Argentina is in terrible state. The EU have very similar problem to Canada. Australia as well. I think New Zealand is still doing okay. Any other country to suggest?

They have given very weird picture of Australia, at one point they said no racism and when about going back they started talking about white racism. They could have tell lot of other things about Canada vs Australia but this is all about their own life and they think that they’ve done lot of efforts but I have seen people in Australia who had pivoted their career and done better in their life.

I have been in Canada for 11 years and i feel like this is biggest scam i ever seen that being played with people life and dreams, I can say from personal experience all the fees and experience people coming here to get is not worth it, even college degree is not helpful as employer will ask you for Canadian experience which is impossible to get for any professional job. I'm from Sydney, Australia and visited family in Toronto just before Covid and no offence but for a metro area of almost 7 million people it's incredibly boring. I was also genuinely shocked at how dirty it was. If I didn't have family there I honestly wouldn't go back.

I lived in Brampton for six years, if you really want to eat a great non-veg then only try going to a Pakistani Restaurant (restraun)....... you must know one thing for sure that any non-veg (Goshtt) bought by any Indian Restaurant is always always Grade-3, the lowest grade and of course the Cheapest.\nIn Pakistani Restaurants in North America (I'm saying anywhere in North America) the Goshtt is always Grade-1 (the best)..... not many people know this...... I've had about 8 friends and 2 relatives who have tried life in the USA.\nOne cousin is still in Colorado after moving there with her 2nd husband, an American, over 10 years ago. The rest have come back to Canada and the biggest general impression I get is that it is simply a huge relief to get out of there. That is a huge contrast to the people I know who had tried life in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Europe, Thailand, Japan, VietNam, Australia, and New Zealand: far fewer of them have come back to Canada because they are happy with life there. And the ones who have come back all have things they miss about the countries and most want to go back someday.\n\nMost of the people I know who have come back from the USA are highly critical of the utter lack of a decent health care system in the USA, but for them it was a solvable problem because they had decent jobs and insurance while they were in the USA. What gave them so much relief when they came back to Canada was that during their time in the USA they never felt safe. There is something fundamentally and brutally fucked up about a country where every bank has armed guards, the mall cops are armed, half of the people in your neighbourhood are armed, you're scared to send your children to school, and every time you turn around you see a cop with his hand on his gun.

It is exactly same with me. I am from Pakistan and my son and daughter live in Sydney Australia. My son insists us to come and live with them. nowadays i am in Sydney but i will Inshallah go back to Pakistan. Its good to come and stay for sometime, but not permanently.

2 months is not sufficient to settle and form an opinion. When we moved to Australia my whole family was there, yet it took us 2 years to settle. I do not regret at all. The amount of benefits you get in these Countries is huge, my hubby was in the family business in India, we had a mortgage free house, a maid at home. But in comparison the benefits in these Countries is awesome. These folk who don't give these Countries a chance. Talking of education kids are stress free, and getting jobs. Why don't people do their research rather than wasting money to go to Countries overseas.

Frankly, every country has its negatives and positives. Australia is a highly multicultural country and people are respectful of each other. In fact, if you go to outskirts of Sydney in regional NSW or any other state in Australia, people are very warm and friendly. Sometimes, it’s a matter of luck and also your skillset and English language ability. I am an immigrant myself and as a family we have been extremely happy here. The health system is fantastic, which is very important in my opinion. If you are a professional with excellent English abilities, you can get best of high paying jobs. It all depends on individual situations and background. I agree, summers are hot but that’s pretty much only 10-15 days in a year, and I think it’s reasonable compared to living indoors 7-8 months depressed due to severe cold and snow. Be happy wherever you are, stay positive and work hard, the rest will fall in place.

I am from Punjab and I moved to Canada in 2020. I really appreciate that Nitin has tried putting forward all the major factors that are pushing today's youth to migrate to Foreign countries. Punjabis have not just migrated to Canada, Australia and England, there are so many people who have been going to Arab countries for their livelihood. The major push factors at this time I would say are unemployment, drugs and poor politics. Most of the people simply wants a good peaceful life for themselves being a part of India.

Lynn some of these people say it is a trap but if you ask them why they are still in Canada, they won't tell you. He left Canada and was back after 7 years. Why not buy the properties in his country. Why go back to Canada to buy those properties? For some reason I feel bad that those who have gone have found a way of discouraging those who aspire to be there yet themselves don't want to leave. I am yet to meet a Kenyan in the streets of Kenya who will tell me that he/she came back because Canada, US, or Canada is a trap. They all say that in the streets of Canada. You can delete my post or you can except the truth.\nI've been too & have friend & colleagues who have migrated to Toronto from Sydney. Toronto is very similar to Sydney. It has some of the most exspensive housing in the world. Canada & Australia's economy is based on economic growth through mass immigration. The cost of this policy, means you also need to restrict development & zoning regulations to artificially keep properties high. Governments need make your population continually, working as slaves, to pay for basic costs, of a largely welfare dependent society. While your a debt slave, you don't spend your money on foreign products, as you have very little in the way of exsports, to pay for imports. The upside to this, you have many slaves to pay for the never ending welfare, as you have a policy of supporting refugees, single parents & the disabled, over self reliance & responsibility. Mental health issues are largly created by society, they are very rarely genetic. The high cost of living, means, you cant afford families. No strong family ties means, poor mental health issues. When you outsource, what familes once did, like help the the elderly, support your unemployed brother & have children. Replace all what families did with government welfare, instead of families helping each other, replace reproduction with mass immigration. You end up creating enormous problems in society. Problems with mental health & crime.\nNow for your modelling career. In Japan, your a novelty, as you have a different look to the Japanese. However in Canada, for your age what are your best features. You only have one. You have very good skin. However your face shape, is slightly disproportionate, basically, meaning your just an average shape face. You could also work on going to the gym, as your not toned. So basically as a whole, for your age group, your slightly above average, say a 6 out of 10, which is not all that good as 60% of Canada's population are overweight. Now as a model, you need to compete with people who are younger & better proportioned 7,8 & 9's. No such thing as a 10.

When I was young I used to fantasise about going to Toronto Canada as I have some cousins who lived there. Today this makes me quite sad but it is a similar situation here in Sydney Australia but a few years behind you guys but affordable housing is a big issue and a small but growing homeless issue Rising. We don't have the extreme random violence like in Canada but stuff like that does happen in all major industrialised cities around the world. Growing population without good healthcare and infrastructure is a major issue in a lot of big cities around the world.\nWe have a government that wants to increase the population and at the same time acknowledge the fact that we don't have the infrastructure to cope for that and also squeezing that big population in a smaller and smaller space of course causing greater mental issues as a result

I watch these videos of immigrants going to Canada, the US,UK, and Australia. You have to listen to them complain about how hard it is where they are from and in their new country. But, they don’t give a flying fudge about how hard we have been working our whole lives. So basically I am listening to grown folks whine about work. I can just go to work for that.

Canada has been ridiculously good to me and for me, even as I appreciate that this is not the average experience. I came here 36 years ago, when there were jobs looking for people, and not the other way around. Back then we had the choice to skill up some more or go in full force in careers, which worked for many of us. I can see how tough it would be for new immigrants now, especially professionals who were already established back in Africa not wanting to get re-validated in order to practice here. That is a journey best played out by new engineers, doctors and other crucial professions where they have time on their side and not feel like they are giving up much to start from scratch. Canada is great but each person has to weigh their reason for wanting to be here. If the scales tip this way, then one has to fully commit to the move to make it work. There are just so many misinformation and misrepresentation from this video. \n\nFor example, for how long has the person you are interviewing reside in Canada to be able to come to those conclusion? Is the person working full time? He said he is a research student so how does he know what it is to work and not enjoy your money when he is just a research student who is not earning salary? \n\nEveryone will just come to Canada and be talking down on the country. Why not go to US, UK or Australia and go find out if people are faring better there.\n\nSalary will be better in Nigeria where you are not paying taxes on most things. Having 3 cars and driver means nothing in developed countries. \nWe all have hands to drive ourselves around. \n\nWhat majority of these people that give negative comments about Canada is experiencing is called Culture Shock. Period!
