Its not just an employer issue though, these corporations see dollars, the rest of us see taxes, overflowing school,s lack of teachers, lack of translation supports, lack of hospital systems, lack of housing , food bank runs as wages cannot support cost of living, homelessness crime and drug use. Disruption of neighbourhoods with 10-15 people piling into suburban homes and messing it up. They should not be here until the foundations are set. What new infrastructure is planned by these departments and on whose bill? Is it started yet as constructions are 5 years out . We are sick and tired of this. As a result of the illegal immigration situation this country is a nightmare. We are footing the bills. I feel sorry for them somewhat, but they are passing over Mexico which is a nice place to come here for free set aside. That part angers me

I was in the Missouri when i got sick. I drove home and was diagnosed with a brainstem tumour. 10 hr surgery, 4 surgerical teams, icu, wks hospitalization. Months of rehab and homecare. The school even arranged a cab to take my 5 yr old to school. I have seen bills for pts who didn't make it home and had to have surgery in the US before being repatriated back to the icu i worked. It was an eye opener to see what they were charged for a box of kleenex, a catheter, an iv bag etc. I would have lost everything if i had to have surgery in the US. \nMy sister is currently in hosp in the US, and she is getting good care. I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. She's a senior on medicaid so she's not going into massive debt or dying in her home to avoid going to the hospital.\n \nI have been travelling to the states since 1976 as a young child. I love the states, I have a lot of family there. My dad lived there until his death. My great grandma immigrated and died in Montana. I have never had a negative experience there in over 49 yrs, other than the old lady backed into my parked suv in the hobby lobby lol parking lot l\n\nA big plus in Canada, is paid Maternity/ paternity leaves and also caregiver leave. Your mom has a stroke or child has cancer you can take time off work to care for them with partial pay and not worry about losing your job

We are north American people and we are paying for all the benefits they received, we are native we are not allowed to receive those benefits , we have to work hard specially to pay our medical bills, they are coming give birth to their children, travel to their countries and never pay their hospital bills.! Who pays? Citizens taxes.

In New Zealand and Australia they used to be professionals from India but now 4/10 working in supermarkets billing, getting the ? back, subway are Indians loud, speaking their mother tongue ..major culprits are Punjabi, Hindi, Telugu and behave badly, bought to think western woman are easy. I lived in the Florida Keys and loved it but the bumper stickers that said Yankees go home made me wonder how they felt about Canadians. I was injured at work and was taken to the hospital were work paid the hospital bill but when the nurse said go to the drugstore and buy a bandage they will be cheaper then if I put one on you. That was a rude awaking as to where I was.\nThe next was I was living with a nurse and at the hospital they brought in a person that had no ID on him. He had been in a terrible car accident but with no ID they would not treat him ,so he died. Turned out he was a Doctor from Key West driving to Miami . The hospital staff were in shock they had let one of their own die. In Canada they would operate first and worry about money or insurance later.

It is not perfect but it saved my life and I have no hospitals bill and it was a massive Islamic stroke and I had a craniumity and it was a good four months in the hospital and rehabilitation
