Folks, I need to educate many for a second. When you immigrate to this country you DO NOT become a citizen when you get legal clearance. You can become a permanent resident at best which means you can live, work and do most other things here legally. You DO NOT get to vote or work in government agencies as a lawful permanent resident. To become a citizen you have to wait a minimum of 3 years, or more depending on your permanent resident status, to then apply for citizenship. You then apply for the citizenship application and if accepted the process requires you to take a test and go through a series of questions about U.S. history and government knowledge in an interview that you need to pass, before you are awarded citizenship. Through this process you are SUPPOSED to be committing yourself to the United States of America as someone who denounces your allegiance to your old country and is now pledging your allegiance to the U.S. This is now your home country and you treat it as such. You are now an AMERICAN, not a whatever from wherever that just lives in America. It should be a big deal and one to be proud of. I know people that have been here for 25 years as a permanent resident and they still have no desire to become a citizen. They have lived off of this country, raised families in this country, worked and benefitted from this country and still align with their old country and are completely amiss to what it means to become a U.S. citizen. There is a reason that only citizens are allowed to vote! Because you should have an allegiance to America and should vote accordingly and not be allowed to work in our governmental agencies for the same reason. Legal status and citizenship are NOT the same.

They should do this in their own country.\n\nThis is happening because of the incompetence of the hateful/ incompetent president that we have right now in the United States. If he cared about the American people this would not be happening. May I add that I am not against people coming to the United States but it should be done legally.

Instead of the Biden administration sending endless billions of dollars to other countries to feed their dirty business deals, maybe we could send that money to other countries as TRUE foreign aid to help them build up their own water supply, food, medical and housing. We have our own American citizens homeless and starving here and they should get help BEFORE ILLEGALS. Especially our Veterans who are ignored and treated like shit. This is all out of the pockets of taxpayers who can't get a break and now millions of illegals are pushing their way into the United States and demanding what they aren't entitled to. Cartels, human trafficking, dope, people from all over the world who are in a lot of cases, from countries with really no laws. Who are they? What sort of background do they have? What are their intentions? I'm not saying that they are all bad people, but we don't know anything about them. No vetting and of course, they will be granted amnesty and will vote. Not that our elections matter anyway. They aren't going to abide by our laws, obviously. Then what diseases are these people bringing here? Then guess what? The WHO gets to decide what is a public health emergency and throw down more restrictions and demands for more vAxXinEs. This is an invasion. They aren't here legally regardless of EOs. Any law that goes against our Constitution is null and void.

This is Biden(the old man) fault. He has to be the worst president in century. Why can’t he be a leader and tell these people to stop coming to the United States. We don’t have the resources for you. American citizens are having economic problems. Biden please man up and do the right thing for Americans.

If the US Government would not do anything to stop this craziness, the American people would be doomed. Protect the United States of America. Else, you will become a third-world country, crimes are everywhere, difficult to find jobs, can barely afford food, more homeless, rough life. I came from a third-world country. It’s not nice. This is because Biden allowed so many in, as Governor Abbott and Governor DeSantis have allowed or transferred many into the United States. When people like myself have done things legally and yet waiting for the system to have my fiance wait for almost two years while these people come in running like cattle. It's too many people coming into the United States. Highly overcrowded. The US needs to start taking care of their own citizens first. There's homeless Americans right here that are citizens, there are hungry people right here in the US that are American citizens. They need to start helping their own first. These Americans should not be without anything. And then United States is quick to help other states before they help they own. It's really a shame. And half the people that come here from other countries don't even like Americans. There shouldn't be not one homeless American citizen in America. The country has billions and billions of dollars and they should be able to house their own citizens.

Mexico has invested 100 million dollars in South America creating jobs and helping small businesses, so people have jobs and don’t have the need to leave their countries. This is the thing guys we are have the highest inflation ever in at least five decades, we have poor American citizens living on the streets homeless and with no food, we are going into the biggest recession in united states of America has ever seen since 2008, we have the highest interest rates in many years that we have ever seen and a lot of people are going to lose their jobs in the next at least 18 months, we have the worse health care system and people are getting sick and dying. \nTimes have changed unfortunately and this is year 2023, not 500 or 300 or 100 or even 50 years ago and there is no comparison.\nWe need to close our borders and take care of our own united states of America citizen first.\nLet's stop sending trillions of dollars in cash to other foreign countries like Ukraine and letting people illegally in our country. ?

The same people saying that they should start a revolution in their own country forget that the US government was the one that started the problems in those countries in the 20th century, with all the CIA-aided coups and far-right military dictatorships. One must also not forget the problems that the United Fruit Company brought to Central America. If anything, the US should embrace these people with open arms. There always will be housing. If the US stopped zoning every square inch of its land as solely single family housing, we could solve the housing crisis and accommodate a lot more people, Americans and immigrants included. That being said, the federal government needs to allocate more resources to allow these people to enter in a proper manner, something which Biden certainly hasn’t done. As a fully disabled American citizen with a child that doesn't even get $1,000 a month and there's no available housing at all where I live no waiting list to go on people on SSI disability don't get any extra housing help we're not offered separate housing are put on separate lists and low-income Able Body people or the migrants jumping the Border but I was born and raised here paid taxes and worked until my body literally couldn't anymore but I don't hear anybody bitching and screaming and crying about the fact that my son and I would be on the streets if it hadn't been for one of my family members stepping up and giving his housing after a lifetime restraining order issued during my pregnancy on my son's biological do do with domestic abuse situation. I'm also US citizen that spent time in the Wards in Houston and projects and other cities and if you don't think that we don't have the same gun violence drug trafficking human trafficking gangs take it over cartels taking over neighborhoods and communities than you're freaking lying to yourself and everybody else. The same s*** that's taken over these countries is taking over the inner cities have been for decades and these are the same communities that most of these people will end up in. No it's not about not being good Christians part of being a good Christian is reminding people to stand their ground and have faith in Jesus and God and their own home territory and not to give it up to the crime people in the bad politicians. For those people screaming and shouting that everybody should go out pick up in my grant and bring them home to their house and feed them and take them and I challenge you to do the same thing for homeless before you even do the migrant do homeless American citizens go out and really educate yourself because I'm totally tired of hearing from Americans that the only people that live on the streets are people with mental health problems that need mental health treatment or people that are stoned out and that's where they want to be you guys are so f****** wrong and this is coming from someone that met homeless people spent time around homeless people and understand we have a society that wants to paints a very different picture than what's truly going on because then it allows for hey it's not our problem they want to be there. I remind people all the time and they hate hearing this s*** Jesus never had a house as a matter of fact Jesus basically live like a homeless person after he was an adult particularly and God made sure he was provided for. I mean did you all forget the night they came to take them away they were asleep in an Open Garden it wasn't like they popped up tents or glamper camper sites had some little Adobe type cabins they were sleeping in. As a matter of fact if you pay attention to most of the stories about Jesus and talking about him sleeping he does a lot of sleeping Outdoors. Remember God is a father that's how he's been represented and talked about in the Bible and Jesus was a man without a doubt no biological transgender question ability there. People need to remember that part of being a fair and loving. Is also teaching and discipline and these children following rules. I don't believe hearing God and Jesus telling all these people run from your countries and not have faith that I'm actually going to fix things for you and go run to somebody else actually go run to the United States where all those stuff is traveling through. I never understood the logic of that it's like rats run from the country where they're making the drugs to the country that supplying the globe with it and we're all of these bad people have thousands of people in planted everywhere with guns and hookups. I don't know why people don't understand that we have dirty lawn forcement in dirty politicians that are in bed with the dirty drug cartels that's as much as they are in the country. You don't think that there's not decisions made in the United States based on drugs and I'm not talking about how to put it into them but how to keep them flowing. So for all of you that want to post your personal assumptions about homeless people because that's all it is unless you've actually been homeless or spent time around homeless you really have no clue what's going on in the homeless population except what you've been told by the same political talking head media bulshit that's been lying to everybody about a bunch of other stuff too. Don't you get it the politicians don't want people knowing that a lot of the people that are homeless on the street are people that are disabled and aren't disabled because they have mental health problems I know that's the narrative they've been trying to stuff down people's throats.

As a non American, I cant figure out why you white Americans treat these people ( mexicans,latin americans) better than your African American brethren. Atleast African Americans gave American culture jazz, blues, rock n roll, doo wop and almost all of pop culture. Heck African Americans were in the war of independence, civil war etc. America WILL be unstoppable if whites and blacks united. End your racial tension NOW and save your nation. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. This whole situation is untenable. It is devastating to the migrants that have to leave their homes and try to enter either the United States or Canada to apply for asylum. No amount of border protections or treaties or walls will solve the problem. And that problem is the political, economic, and social conditions in their countries of origin. In my opinion, Canada and the United States (more so the United States) need to step up to see if there’s any way to help politically and economically stabilize those so people would not need to leave their homes in search of a better life. Yes, it would cost money… But there would be definite dividends in the future as we would no longer have to invest as much money on our borders. I very much realize not only the complexity of the problems in Latin American countries, but also the complexity of what I am suggesting. But everything we have done so far has been useless, so we need to change our thinking.

True. I was born and raised in the countryside in Mexico. Even in the cities in Mexico and other Latin American countries, life is more vibrant. I remember when I used to live in the city in my home state in Mexico, you couldn't even tell if it was a weekend or the middle of the week because there were always many people sitting around in the parks and central plazas enjoying life. Businesses used to close two hours for lunch so the employees had plenty of time to go home or eat anywhere before going back to work in the afternoon. Life wasn't just about work, but here in the United States it seems like everything revolves around work, work, work, and work... and that doesn't seem to be a healthy lifestyle (physically and psychologically).

There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years.
