The amount of fentanyl alone would have killed the entire population of Canada TWICE. International cartels involved. So if it takes tariffs to make our borders safe, that’s on Trudeau, not Trump. Trudeau has been the PM of Canada since 2015. Through some very challenging times but now he is rising to meet the most serious issue of his leadership. He has unified the country against a troublesome individual.

President Trump is not going to listen to you if you are not stopping the flow of fentanyl coming into the US. Canadian here- I hate Trudeau just as much as most Canadians, and as it seems most Republican Americans do as well. But I fully stand behind him at this hour. He might have shit the bed for most Canadians during his time as PM, but when it mattered he has stood up for Canada. Review the facts and educate yourself on the current situation between CAN and the US. I will be the first to admit, Canada has not done enough in terms of its own security and military, but these failures should not be the decay in our friendship as nations. The US DOES NOT subsidize Canada, it DOES NOT give money to Canada. In simple terms- the larger country, with the largest economy in the world (USA) buys more from its Northern brother, which produces vast amounts of natural resources which the larger southern country requires. As for the booing seen at most recent sports events in Canada, that is directed at the President, not the average American. I myself would never boo a national anthem, an anthem that millions have sacrificed to protect and defend. But I understand the pain and anger that is coming from my country. We have always been allies, friends, and to most even family. I do hope that in the future our relationship can heal and move forward but the current actions being taken by the American admistration are horrendus and upsetting to most of the world outside of the US. I wish us all the best in the future, be nice to one another, and always remember that the US and Canada have fought, spilled blood, and died alongside one another in the fight for democracy and freedom around the world.

A visit was planned for 2025 but will Canada allow anyone with a US passport in. No one should want this. It is akin yo fighting with your siblings. For anyone who is curious about how our politics make everything worse for us federally, let me explain it in a short time.\n\nTrudeau as of the day of this video, March 3, 2025, is STILL the PM. He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race. So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. It's been fun Canada, it's been fun.

I am a white Canadian have family and friends in the USA and I tried to move to the usa back in the early 2000's because I had a job could not do it because I was not allowed but it seems if you are other then white it is so much easier and everyone said I should go now because Trudeau is a dictator and that I am a law abiding Conservative that wants to leave Canada because our PM is nothing but a POS Liberal that is robbing the hard working real Canadians and cutting us off of having a good job because of DEI. I used to think Pres. Trump was being too hard on Canada then I got a look at the tariffs they impose on our goods. Some as high as 250%. I think Trump just wants a level playing field and a lot of help from Canada on the border. I think Poilievre feels the need to talk tough in response but I think he really wants the same things as Trump. I hope Poilievre becomes PM because he's conservative and I think he'll work well with Trump as they're both conservative nationalists.

The reality of the situation is that while Canada’s retaliatory tariffs will hurt the US a little, Trump’s tariffs hurt Canada a lot! Right now we’re in a moment where Canadian politicians of all stripes need to placate the public’s demand for retaliation, however no matter who the next PM is, they will quickly and quietly be working to undo whatever factors led to this situation. That will mean acquiescing to Trump’s border demands among other concessions. One would be forgiven for thinking Trudeau should have just gone along with them in the first place and spared Canada the pain.

I dont think Canadians understand that 3 of our states have bigger economies alone than Canada does. This will end very bad for Canada the longer it goes. WoW talk about biased, we have specific reasons for these tariffs, Trudeau is irrelevant and the Mexican presidents have always had their strings pulled by the cartel. Its why the U.S. is pushing these tariffs. Mexico needs to cooperate with the U.S.. Canada will do so once the new PM is in. Its already Check Mate. These retaliatory moves by Canada and Mexico are just for show. They have no real pull. Period.
