The relationship between Canada and the US is because of Trudeau. He isn’t getting his way so he is making a huge mistake with his disrespect toward our Great President Trumo. Canadians want Trudeau to step down. \nHow do I know? I have a huge number of relatives there. My mother was born there and my dad served honorable in the Royal Canadian Navy during the second World War.\nTrudeau is and always has been hateful toward Canadians. \nBy the way… we are boycotting CNN.

Trump wants to break Canada weakening them to make them the 51st state. Canada there are other markets to trade with. Companies are going to move from the US and with them so will your trade route.

I'm not American. I grew up hearing lots of hate bout USA cuz the US doesn't exactly have a good rep in foreign policies - always bullying other nations, starting wars for oil etc. but I've always preferred USA not just for the world order it brings, it allows different voices, criticism & scolding towards its leaders compared to China, Russia & North Korea. \n\nin the US, you can talk bad bout politicians in power, or probably make movies bout these kind of things like US invading other countries for oil, or testing out some cruel AI military robots on humans (movie name: Monsters of Man), & you won't be persecuted. but after looking at a bunch of executive orders Trump has signed, the way he (& JD Vance) treated Zelenski & Canada, I don't know if I still feel the same bout USA anymore.\n\nif USA doesn't wanna continue spending on Ukraine, perhaps USA shouldn't have sweet talked Ukraine into denuclearization thru the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. that's what you get for mendling with other countries' affairs. by stopping US aid & wanting a new mineral deal, Trump's refusing to follow the Memorandum (I added this sentence thru edit as I can't reply to the comment below).\n\nunderstandably, US & UK don't need to deploy troops in Ukraine as the security assurance in the memorandum wasn't clearly defined, but it also didn't mention that Ukraine should pay the US back financially, nor any mineral concessions. \n\nTrump always wanting a purely 1 sided deal will only isolate USA from more allies.

Trump and Putin both want and need Canada for the simple reason of the Arctic melts. Ships can now travel that pass. Trump is known, and I'm surprised the media doesn't bring it up, to have financial ties to Russia as an American citizen even well before 2016. What kind of blackmail from Russia would make Trump totally sell out his country.

Dictatorship comes in steps isolation from the world and suppression of freedoms are but two. The free world weeps for what the US is becoming under this current administration.

If look at another perspective, if Trump did not impose tarrifs, then Canada will continue to sell the cars back to US for high profits. Trump mentioned about this, he is not happy. Canada already taxes US imports at an average of 25%, so these US tariffs only balance the playing field. He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race.
