Unfortunately this is becoming a common trend with your new president even with South Africa saying South Africa is oppressing Afrikaners who are the richest and wealthiest in the country all because we took Israel to the ICJ defending racists? Maybe the DEMS were correct

It's shocking that 'Donald' is becoming the norm. ?? Canada well done for standing up to a BULLY!! The US will become an isolated, 3rd world country not the leader of the world which it has ben since 1945! Such a shame.

The difference between a lunatic and Trump is that within Trump must be at least 10 more other lunatics. Sad for the American people who will suffer from this trade war. And Mr Trudeau speaks like a respectfull president from a civilized country. How is it possible that lunatics can become a president from the USA?

This man is no hero. I live in Canada, which under Trudeau’s leadership has become a worse country since he became Prime Minister. It has nothing to do with Trump. It has been going in this direction for years.

It's absolutely unfathomable that things have been allowed to escalate to this point. It is obvious that our country is being taken over by Russian agents in the WH. How else can you be so tone deaf to what this stupid tarrif position is going to do to our economy, unemployment people that are not wealthy. These rich people absolutely do not care about us regular people. Our forefathers would be livid to see what has become of our country. MAGAs have been duped with so many lies and exaggerations that have been generated by Russia into the social media consciousness that they have paved the way for a total take over designated to ruin our country. It's happening, and people are so duped ...... it's like a bad movie.

Why is this dude still representing Canada? \n\nTwo months ago many of his key cabinets members resigned because Justin’s policies are destroying Canadians. Rightfully, he resigned. Dude needs to go away. Stop making Canada worse than what it has become under his horrendous leadership.\n\nThings happening:\n\nThe massive influx of foreigners, both legally and illegally into Canada.\n\nAffordable housing for native Canadians do not exist, people are leaving the country.\n\nHi mortgage payment or monthly rent are too high.\n\nFood prices are not coming down.\n\nSalaries are not keeping up with inflation.\n\nThe Canadian dollar keeps tanking.\n\nAs the leader of the country, he’s doing nothing to stop increasing violent crime.\n\nIncreasing amount of drugs in cities and suburbs.\n\nFinally, he’s pledging billions of dollars to Ukraine, when that money is needed at home.\n\nJustin is too emotional to deal with Trump.\n\nTrump complains about the trading balance between the two nations, $100 billion in favor of Canada.\n\nThe request is simple, import more American products, or export less products to America. But the imbalance has to stop.\n\nSame with Mexico, trading balance with Mexico is almost $200 billion in favor of Mexico. The imbalance has to stop. \n\nThe US economy is bleeding by trading with allies and partners, it’s fighting for its financial wellbeing. It is not some bs from the orange man, it is real.\n\nOf course Canada, Mexico, Europe and others want business as usual… and why wouldn’t they? ?

Trudeau, focus on fixing your own country first. The high taxes, the massive carbon taxes that Canadians do not want, and the rising grocery and housing prices are becoming unbearable. Stop shifting blame onto President Trump. While he works hard for his country, you should be doing the same for yours.

Trump cannot hold Canada responsible for individuals who become addicted to drugs, overdose, and die. That responsibility lies with the country where these incidents occur, not with another nation. His comments don't make sense unless he is attempting to find a different excuse to jack Csanada up with the tariffs. Shame on you, Trump.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
I am very sorry for the damage and suffering that these tariffs and trade wars will cause to people in our two countries, as it is clear that many people are. It is obvious that Donald cares more about himself and his various fantasies than he cares about other people. Unfortunately, he is supported in this by his cabinet, congressional Republicans, and enough ill-intentioned voters to make this our new reality. I hope that there will be a point in the future when life will become friendly again.

As an American it’s great to stand with Canada and we should support them, but we need to stand up for ourselves here in the US, we can’t let this happen to our country… what have we become?
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Please keep in mind, that all the issues we have in Canada are because of Trudeau. He's been in power for almost a decade. The widespread drug abuse and crime is because of him being weak on policy and handing out drugs like candy paid by tax payers. More people died from fentanyl in Canada than our soldiers in WWII. That is all on his watch. He is only making these changes because of Trump. What kind of a leader is Trudeau to only become Canada first when a person from outside the country threatens him? He is a horrible leader and a traitor to the Citizens and the Country we call Canada. Regardless of what his speech is, he cannot be trusted with his globalist agenda. He has stepped down (thank goodness!!) and Canada is looking forward to having Pierre Poilievre as our PM.

I am a canadian and half my family live in the US... we are not enemies but I am not alone in fearing what America is becoming and the direction it is taking in trade , geo politics and governing philosophy. \nthe people behind project 2025 are not rational old conservatives harking back to a by gone era, they are christian fundementalists enacting a plan to bring about the transformation of the US into a full blown christian theocracy. A christian version of the taliban. \nThe vast majority of Americans don't want this and I believe share my fears on the direction of the country... it'll be up to the corporate oligachs to decide how this gets settled and that should scare the crap out of everyone... because they just want chaos to make money, to profit and to self aggrandise and stride on the stage as power merchants ... they could not care less about the American people.\na time is coming that fits the orginal purpose of the second amendment ... let's just hope people are smart enough to know who to point them at...

Awe, did Justin miss the latest Taylor Swift concert. America wants to become an Industrialized nation again and not depend on other countries to supply us goods. America doesn't need Canadas Socialism, Kick Rocks Justin.

Michigander here. Good to see a country united that still has integrity. My apologies to Canada. The United States has become unrecognizable
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
You need to understand, Canadians. He's trying to cripple you economically, so you can agree you're no longer viable as a country & become the 51st US state. I hope you're up for the fight... you deserve better than US colonialism.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Maybe they are planning something. Trump once remarked that Canada could become the U.S.'s 51st state, so perhaps he was considering a strategy to weaken the country as part of a long-term plan. He might have been looking for a justification to assert control over Canada. Additionally, his strategic support for Putin raises concerns. Trump also once suggested renaming the 'Gulf of Mexico' to the 'Gulf of America.' Considering all this, could we be on the brink of World War III?
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Here's my issue with Trudeau ...you now placed your country in a position where this becomes a game of tariff chicken. This won't end well for Canada no matter what tariffs you try to envoke to counter Trump. The U.S. aren't dependent on Canada. So, what is your real endgame here matching the tariffs? Is that what the people of Canada really want to get into? Doesn't seem smart to me. It just looks like a lazy game of posturing trying impose some front like the U.S. need to back down from Canada. What a joke.
|

We're all so disgusted and saddened about all of this. You're so right about everything that you're saying about trump; Putin has his puppet in this country and he's making the most of it, by helping trump to become dictator here. Please Canada, do what you have to do, we don't want this either; we're stuck with trump until our congress grows a spine and kicks this ugly, vindictive man out of office! Thank you Prime Minister Trudeau, you are what is needed in this crisis! I'm glad to be a Canadian, I just wish I was living there, not here. What a total embarrassment to us all that did not vote for trump. (from Sandi Paquet)

The ChiComs, working with their Liberal minions, have made sure that any election will be rigged. Trump is trying to save Canada because he will send Troops into Canada to eject the Chinese military. He wants to do it with laws by getting Canada to join the USA. If that does not happen, he will use the military to do it, and Canada will be seen as the enemy of the USA allied with China. Trudeau admitted that without the welfare the USA has been providing to Canada, your economy will collapse. The Bank of Canada is bankrupt. The Canadian dollar is about to collapse. How will you feel next year when you need two dollars to buy what one dollar buys now? And plan on having fewer dollars to start with because your carbon tax, your sales tax, your income tax are all going up. WAY up. This is what happens when you decide to compete with a USA that is unshackled. The USA can produce more of our own oil than we can use, and we will sell the extra to YOUR foreign customers cheaper than you can produce it. Then you will be BEGGING for a pipeline. So Trump invited Canada to become a member of the most successful and powerful union of sovereign states in history, something that even our own territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and all the others do not have. An invitation to be a bona fide member. Why do you think that is? Minerals? The USA has all the minerals we need. We have more oil, coal, and natural gas than any nation also, and we can produce and refine it cheaper than any country can. So Canada was invited to become a state so Trump could peacefully eject the ChiComs from North America. And did you accept? No. Did you say no thank you? No. You gave us the finger and said f&$k you to Trump. We hear you Canada. But now is not the time for pain, that comes later.

It's more than time for Canada to turn themself to electric Chinese car at around CAD 5K with quality comparable to Tesla and so many more affordable goods and products from diverse countries of Asia including cheaper chips, GPU, CPU, etc... with the green, affordable and available electricity in huge quantity who could place Canada at the first rank in AI development without speaking about it Geo position reducing latency, Crypto mining at the lower cost around the entire world, the world largest rear earth elements and so many more. By stopping to cooperate with a vicious country which has the philosophy of eliminating the concurrency until to collaborate for the exponential growth of each other's. It's clear that the target of the US was to force the Canada to be producing goods and service to the US consummation at a price so low that will have turn Canada in a third world country which the US could invade or exploit as it will, like they did all around the world by bombing and even committing genocide using proxy to stole the resource of so many nations around the world. So obviously they deal with Russia on how to rob the richest from Europeans nation like Ukraine as it is clear that the US is now looking to make the entire world economy fall for their own profit. Canada must lead in the fight against the American imperialisms pushing for a world embargo against the US and become at the same time one of the richest nations in the world if not the richest one. while for the US citizens to invest all their money in BTC to ensure that they will not fall down with their government and economy.

Trump and his cronies are liars and want nothing more than to become permanent leaders in a country controlled by billionaires. The world needs to work out how to thrive and prosper without the USA.

Portuguese here, I stand with you Canada! Eloquent, civilised words from your PM.\nEurope, UK, Canada and every civilised country, we must unite, that's how we become stronger. Donald's isolationism is a step back in every way. Just take a look at North vs South Korea.

Just watch Trump will be blaming Biden for all this because Trump has no leadership no plan but to make rich people, richer! Do you maga supporters realize what you've done now. And how bad things are about to become in our country. I didn't vote for Trump but I'm going to have to suffer because of dumb idiot suckers like you. Thanks Maga for ruining my life because of your stupidity! ✌️

Thank you Trudeau for telling the US how we should run our country and how expensive it will be considering you have a 50% income tax, shitty healthcare, and a ban on half the guns out there. ? Canada hates Trudeau and so does Trump. That's become pretty obvious.

I am seriously ready to become a Canadian now because of my governments horrific behavior right now. They would never do what Trump is doing to their people and country!

The problem here isn't temporary. Tariffs may or may not be. But when Canada, Mexico, and other countries build alternate trade infrastructure and strike deals that exclude America, this becomes near irreversible and will hurt America's economy well after Trumps term. And that's just trade and economy.\n\nThen there are many relationships worldwide which are already affected, and world leaders are poised to move on without America - leaving it isolated. The US is the most powerful country in the world and can survive alone, but even so, no country flourishes without international partnerships that both parties can rely on. Like Putin, nobody can rely on Trumps word.\n\nHe is destroying everything. And the American public are largely sitting back and watching it. \n\nWake up before it's too late.

We are angry - with those people who ignorantly voted for Trump and those people who chose not to vote. Not the people who chose to vote democratically to remain a democratic country. We are clear that his real agenda is to use this trade war to attempt to coerce us into becoming the 51st state. For MANY reasons, we will not EVER become part of Trump’s America. We will collectively fight in any way possible, even though we know it will be tough, to prevent it. We also know that there is a bigger picture in that it’s clear that Trump is aligned with Putin in the push to destroy democracy globally in favour of an authoritarian world order that benefits only the ultra rich. Canada, the Ukraine, Greenland and Panama are stepping stones to that end goal.

What is it going to take for Americans to realize they are heading pedal to the metal to become a 3rd world country run by a dictatorship? 6 weeks of the current presidency will take hundred of years to recover, if ever. So sad.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Trump gave earlier the real reason why he started this trade war: he wants Canada to become the 51st state of the USA. He also wants Greenland so he can secure the Northern passage.\nCanada is a country of the British Commonwealth, and it is interesting that Trudeau met with King Charles last week. Oddly enough, the British Prime Minister dodged questions from White House reporters on this topic.\nNow about the G7 forthcoming summit: Trump is a convicted felon and may not attend without the permission of the host country, which this year happens to be Canada!

Trump is acting destructive everywhere, where he engages. He is destroying his country because the prices in USA will go up quickly and long lasting and their stocks will fall dramatically. Inflation is USA will soar and get out of control. His policies are firing back on his own economy.\n\nCanada will have little ore none impact from these tarrifs, they will overcome this initial shock quickly and recover. They will find better partners and other ways to trade. But USA won't find anybody any more who is willing to deal with him, everybody will avoid engaging with his administration, because they are acting ruthless. Trump isn't considering the ends of his decisions and he obviously doesn't care because he is an irresponsible person without a concience. He won't be able to do harm to other countries than to his own, he only destroys USA, because they elected him and they are following him on his way so far. The opposition in USA will become louder and much more influential and Trump will lose more and more companions in his own party.

The whole New World Order thing seems to becoming reality. Trump is aligning with Russia and enemy countries while simultaneously sabotaging ours. They want to take over the world. It’s scary.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Any time you are on any kind of team, the teammates you want are ones you can trust, ones that will keep their word. One thing that has made the US strong is the allies we have. He have been able to keep these allies because, in general, we have stuck to agreements we have made with other countries historically. If you have an ally that doesn’t fulfill their end of agreements then they are not much of an allie. If Trump is thinking he can “replace” our current allies and just go become allies with Russia—Russia doesn’t have a good track record on following through on agreements in the last few decades.
|

Trump wants to sow discord between the people of Canada and the people of America, aiming to make them hate each other, so that he can then attack Canada and seize it. Trump admires Putin because, like Putin, he believes that the strong can do whatever they want, while the weak must obey! But what else would you expect from a country where slavery was once considered normal, from a country that exterminated millions or even billions of Indigenous people just to take their land? Of course, over time, things have changed — people have become smarter and started to value life — but Trump belongs to that ancient caste of Americans whose IQ is around 20–50...

You really really have no idea what your doing when you've pissed off Canada , for the love of God if there is any real Americans left stand up and say no to this reality show that exsits in the mad man's head.\nHundreds of years to become a great country ....one man and his dog is breaking it apart in a matter of weeks. Running a country is not the same as a business , it will be the greatest error ever in mankind.

Canada you are a great democratic country with a vibrant culture with a great economy, you do not deserve to be treated the way you are by the dictator Trump & his Republicans, that is what disrespect is…Trump needs to apologise to Canada & it’s people. The USA is now becoming a world menace, I hope all the nations of the world take notice of Trump’s arrogance & egoism which will start new conflicts & wars soon.\nGood luck to my Canadian friends, with lots of love & respect from Türkiye. ❣️?????❣️

Boo boo, Canada has been taking Billions from us and charging us Tariffs. We DONT NEED CANADA. They need us not Visa-Versa. I was Born in Toronto, what a terrible Liberal Leftist Country it has become including “ No Freedom Of Speech “. Trudeau is in competent and one speech doesn’t change that. Face it Canada !

My fellow Americans, we have far to many gullible and ignorant citizens in our country who voted for this idiot not once, not twice but 3 times. Insanity. Make it make sense. You voted for a proven narcissist, liar and impulsive man and now everybody in our country is going to suffer. The rest of the world is understandably concerned. We have a Putin sympathizer in the Oval Office. We have a traitor to Western democracy in our midst in power. \n\nWe now have massive layoffs coupled with cuts to vital services and help for our own citizens including Medicaid and other things. This is disturbing and troubling how fast it's unravelling. We can only hope that patriots and others can help stem this tide. We must use peaceful means to and pressure on our politicians to become more vocal in our concerns.

Donald Trump, as a U.S. President, was not sincere. During his campaign, he falsely claimed that people in the U.S. eat cats and dogs, a statement that has no truth to it. After becoming president, he continued to use the issue of fentanyl as a justification for imposing tariffs on Canada. His actions suggest that he is not genuinely interested in moving the country forward but rather using tariffs as an excuse, which could ultimately harm Americans

Looking in from the out side I applaud Trudeau on his speech. But........ Canada needs the USA more than the USA needs Canada. Trump is who the United States elected by a majority. No games..... no fraud..... He IS THE Average large pickup driving, loud and rude American. He Is America and the rest of the world needs to take note.\n\n To be fair, in historical terms, the USA was created to be isolated and different than Europe. They went to War to become an independent country away from Europe. This whole idea that they follow Europe everywhere is only a small blip in history since WW2, they were never set up to be that.\n\n If Anything, the rest of the world should see there mistake in becoming so dependent on the USA. You should never put that much faith and trust in just one country.
|

I respect you so much for this, Mr. Trudeau and I do not blame you. I wish the people could do something, but the people have spoken and no one listens. We are just trapped here. I feel powerless to do anything. I can’t afford to fight in oligarch I have to survive this country and work my ass off just to live paycheck to paycheck. I haven’t got time for this shit. I guess I’m gonna have to quit my job and become a full-time political activist! That’s not realistic I have children. I have an autistic grandchild who is also blind that I’m raising I ain’t got time for this shit but you gotta do what you gotta do. It’s time for a revolution.

Imagine once being the country that so many allies and neighbors sought refuge in—only to become this. Damn. I wish we had a leader who could articulate himself this well or actually cared about humanity. Those of you who voted for this will soon see and feel the consequences of your actions. The truth is, Trump isn’t smart— and unfortunately, neither are most Americans.
|

Now might be a good time to either upturn the system, or admit that this is no longer the country we can abide, and leave. Either way, it is evident that there is now a New World Order, lead by corporations and the lobbyists that fight for them. The kindest thing to say is that we are an Idiocracy; the truth might be that we've become the evil we pretend to fight. Good luck out there, folks.

I'm from the UK and I stand with Canada. America should be absolutely ashamed of their president. Trump treats friendly countries like this, then rolls over and becomes nothing but Putin's little bitch. Trump is pathetic and Americans are disgraced by him and his lies.
