Finally someone is looking into this. FFS they literally founded non existent colleges to exploit the bridge loopholes from a faux student visa to a faux job which gets them to a PR status because the immigration offices are not doing their jobs. We've been flodded with fake students for years now. And for the record I am not against student visas and legal and appropriate immigration. Far from it. I appreciate every person, whether from India or somewhere esle, that is in Canada legally and with intention to integrate and contribute.

I was not raised to be racist but at 67 and my family has been in Canada since 1536 , I can now say that I am racist. Where did the point system go? Why is the canadian government not strict with fact-checking the documents being submitted by applicants? I was made aware there are a significant number of Indian students who are applying for students visas, coming to Canada and then withdrawing from the university and flooding the workforce making it difficult for other immigrants from poorer countries to find work. .

This is a horrible situation on both ends and the fact that its all 100% administration failure is sad. Its not fair to anyone not even the immigrants. They keep bringing in more people then the economy can afford to live here I frankly find it ridiculous. I want to know whats driving these policies to continue. My parents came to canada 25 years ago, they payed thousands of dollars to get status here. Now people are getting in as cheap labour that can't even afford to live here so they dogpile 10-15 people in the same 2-3 bedroom apartments or houses and the infrastructure is still being built on the logic of single families when in the reality thr opposite is happening we have sudden crowding because rent is unaffordable due to the massive influx of people, including canadian born nationals that are forced to live in these environments if they don't have support- Its crazy why not close your borders stabilize rebuild infrastructure then slowly work on immigration policies again when the housing market and job market are stable again. Theres absolutely no reason to cite labour shortages when theres an unemployment rate and homeless people everywhere- close the borders- get homes built, throw heavy incentives to join and get educated on any productive field that has a shortage upto and including providing shelter to canadian citizens that decide to pursue these fields and are homeless. Have a fast track rotating incentive down to the year along with guaranteed on job training for all occupations. Such a simple solution so stupid we can't execute it. Too busy squabbling liberal conservative baseline rhetoric that we made ourselves blind to the human cost in our own borders.

it is so disturbing how people are being brought in to be exploited for labour, legally and fraudulently, and also simply refusing to leave on temporary visas. or even buying their way in. living conditions cramped, bad pay, buying their way. Ive been trying to accept immigration as a good thing for over 40 years and what ive learned is it only benefits the people who come here under false pretenses because there is zero checks from Canada immigration, its all taken by these peoples word! Wow, we have no idea where these people are, if these students are even in Canada, we don't know who left the country. What the he'll is happening . Who decided it was India that can send us millions of people and we are going to be ok. I came as student in 2013 I am now Canadian from past 5 years. I just want to mention government is to blame for They earned so much money from international students. I studied with Ukrainian Chinese Mexican and Russian students . They weren't good in English as well But they all worked very hard and very dedicated. Initially it was difficult find job they asked young students for Canadian experience which obviously none of the students had Ircc is laziest department. Even college cares about fees only. Because if student leave the college they don't get back the fees. So they are absolutely fine with this kind of fraud. .and private college are worst among everything. Students doesn't have to attend college. The fraud is now they just gets degrees and some else studies for them. Canada is not corrupt but Canadian politicians to get votes made Canada curupted. Covid benefits fueled this . Downhill started with Covid ended.

We had a group of classmates from UVIC which in particular INDIANS (not being racist at all) that only shows up on first day of semester and on the last day... SMH Canada is sure fvcked up by this group of individuals that are just here to work illegally.

Learn from Gulf countries open your markets let young, educated people come to your country establish businesses, provide you services and if possible, they will bear children for you to increase your population. Charge them yearly for visa health fee etc. and as soon contract finishes send them back home or keep good ones who are beneficial to your economy give them citizenship.
