You gals are on point with most of the things. However, there are few things that were not discussed here that might be of help to those planning to immigrate. Things that they should know before they pack their bags in the hopes that they will have the best of both worlds once they land in Canada. Most immigration agents give false hopes as they get paid for doing so. So, research, research, research before you put all your money in one basket. While some people return to their home country because they eventually have come to realization that Canada will not give them the life they hoped for, others some how manage to settle down. Then there is another group that stay behind because they have no place to go because they made the big mistake of putting all they had in one basket and took risk of spending it in Canada. Also, if you are a professional, you are better off working in U.S than Canada. Job opportunities in U.S for professionals are far better than in Canada. Finding a job in Canada is based on whom you know rather than what your skill sets and qualifications are. Foreign qualifications including U.S degrees are not well accepted in Canada. U.S employers hire based on skill sets and whom you know is not much of a factor that will impact your job search. Unlike Canada, U.S accepts foreign qualified workers in most professional jobs and do not require that you to study in U.S for most professional fields. While pay is 40% more in U.S for the same job in Canada, home prices in U.S are 40% less expensive than in Canada. Food for thought.

I agree with everything you have said in this video. I've lived in Canada for over 10 years and must admit, i don't feel at home here at all. I feel Canada is overrated for no reason. House prices are insane, it's almost impossible to buy housing in any big city in Canada anymore. I agree with a lot ppl, the healthcare system here is poorly managed, with long waiting hours if you have an emergency (personal experience). As someone living in a big city in Ontario, it feels like everyone is just busy chasing money. Nobody has time for friends, chilling, etc...Sometimes i feel i have to book an appointment with my own friends if i want them to hang out with them. As an immigrant myself, i must say I hate the mass-immigrant policy that the government is pushing. The neighbourhood i live in, has changed face/demographics so many times... Every group sticks to their own and it feels you'll never be able to adapt as it keeps changing so fast... I also don't like how Canada is pushing their far left agenda down the throat of everyone, with being Politically Correct, promoting LGBQT to underage kids (i don't have any issue with what ppl do in their bedroom, i just have issue with the promotion of it), minority this & that (even though im considered a minority myself). If you come from a middle income country, you'd soon realise Canada ain't so much better than where you come from esp if you have education, healthcare and jobs available. I'm only waiting to win that lotto max now, so i can just return back home and live a quiet peaceful life.

Canadian citizen here. It isn't just immigrants; I encountered the anti-intellect societal mentality as well. I had difficulty when applying for entry-level jobs in my field becuase I had a Master's degree and some of the competition (that was usually accepted) had only Bachelor degrees. The critical problem is that a number of companies (but not all) want to hire the dumbest people that are able to do the job, on the presumption that lower education = lower risk of the employee quitting = lower wages, i.e. cutting the bottom line instead of innovating. This also stems from incompetent management who will only hire people lower-qualified than themselves so that they emotionally feel superior. I then got a European Commission PhD scholarship in Poland and have just moved there.

I totally agree with your video.\n\nI am European, and l have been living in Canada for 7 years, including 4 years in Toronto 2 years Ottawa and now In Montreal.\n\nWhen l arrived in Canada l started from the scratch in order to get Canadian experiences and improve my Eng, undestanble and l accept as new comer.\n\nI come back to college in order to get Canadian Educatiom post graduate program. \n\nI got my Canadian Citizenship, l am improving my French, as we know its important to be Bilingual in Canada.\n\nSo far after all this steps l didn't find my perfect and dreaming job, harder to find well paid job and stable.\n\nSometime l feel l loose my time here. I learned the well paid job need strong connection, no well paid or low income for new comers. I've lived here all my life. Worked here all my life. Only been out of the country for maybe 3 weeks total. I'm 66 years ago. One thing that really bothers me about canada, is that bad management seems to be almost everywhere. From the private sector to the public sector. I'm not saying everything is poorly managed, but my impression is that about 80% of it is. For example, canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world, and we import oil. I think immigrants should think about this before coming here. Do you really want to be part of a team like this? How do I get around this bad management. I work for myself.

Can any one provide some guidance that how can a person having a banking career qualify for Canadian immigration. I am a Branch Manager at a local bank in Pakistan and I have a total of 15 years of banking experience with a post graduate degree. My spouse is also a post graduate. Have searched but seems like bankers have slim chances of immigration. Guidance required. Thanks.

I came here in Canada 12 years ago and got 4 professional job offers I choose one and moved to Windsor since then I am here in the same company and our company paid one million dollar to Islamic organization London after this incident , I never ever faced racism especially based on Islam even in ramdhan our company allows us to work flexible hours .... And respect our Halal food when there are parties arranged by company and my parents got immigration too ..so our family is reunited here ... Where by while working in Kuwait for 10 years and it was difficult to get family visa for wife even having a management position in a bank...

I as a doctor immigrated to UK because i was forced to by the acts of government hospital and later a well known private hospital, which wouldn't pay on time and would not increase my monthly salary by a mere 25000 rupees and i was made to work odd hours, weekends, eid holidays. Within a year of my arrival i have been medically trained by the consultants here to perform procedures in hospital which i could never have imagined doing back home. I never wanted to leave home but was forced to by people who should have been managing high skilled resources for the betterment of pakistans future, but instead were found bettering there own lives.

He wasn't approved because he's not middle Eastern or Asian. That's not being racist it's based on facts and a big cause of the unemployment problem in Canada because Canada born citizens can't even get jobs at Walmart anymore and most of the Walmart employees barely speak English if they do speak the language at all. My local Walmart for example was 100% locals and students from the local college but a year and a half ago they laid off all but 6 locals who were managers and shift leaders and hired all immigrants who don't even live in the area. And skip the dish isn't any better all the drivers in my area actually live in Brampton and Toronto but delivery food 2-3 hours away from home and I'm pretty sure that's actually why covid keeps spreading.

I have done my bachelors in BACHELORS OF ELECTRONICS and masters in MBA - MIS (Management information system)\n\nlooking forward for Canadian immigration, so I want my master degree to be consider as Master through ECA . So which body is best for this both degree . Please so recommend best body that gives me highest level for my education, I have plenty of time for this for evaluation. So I dun care how much time it takes .

Canada is so soft and weak on immigration. A convicted scammer from Philippines, out on bail..managed to get in to Canada and changed his name and now living in canada. I have proof.

I didn't understand your words very much, but it is not easy to immigrate to Canada. I have a university degree in financial management, but I find it difficult to immigrate because Many conditions for language and money.

To keep citizens a priority over the influx of immigrants and refugees Denmark had cut welfare benefits to illegal immigrants and refugees and many began leaving to more profitable countries (in benefits). Why has our country not put something like that in place? It definitely would sort out those who came for the 'freebies'.  ~ Denmark's ‘integration benefit'  measure was a significantly lower benefit level being offered to people who have resided in Denmark for less than seven of the past eight years. Foreigners will also receive a financial incentive to learn the language. These were 'integration benefits'. Citizens who have lived outside of the EU (or country?) for seven of the past eight years were also subjected to the new rules. The purpose, to make Denmark a less attractive destination while making it more attractive to work and contribute to Danish society.  It reduced the flow in to a more manageable number.

Sorry to but That's absolutely wrong.\nYou just needed to find job at right place and in right profession.\nYou've made your life difficult by your decisions.\nThere is no such thing as struggle if you how to manage.\nThere is a lot of immigrants who really liked to be here and have found better quality of life.\nI guess that's why Canada is the one of the most popular choice of destination for immigrants.\nAnd so is yours.

As a Canadian screw Trudeau . I'm ashamed to call him my prime minister. At least his dad gave us the bill of rights and freedoms which is a historic document... His son aka Justin is literally ruining Canada .\n\nSo far he's put us in a tonne of debt , has no economic knowledge/political experience, is a hypocrite, went back on his promise for electoral reform (as the old system made him win lol) , is an Islamic extremist apologist , literally gave millions of tax $ to a terrorist because he was detained in Guantanamo aka Omar Khadar -_- etc ... Now because you actually have a president with balls to kick them out to where they came from they're coming to Canada where they know our PM can't even admit there's such a thing as an extremist Muslim. \nHe keeps using the excuse that Canada was built on immigrants. Yes. True. Legal ones. Or legitimate refugees fleeing war or persecution. Not bloody Donald Trump and a pretty developed / stable country aka the US. Smh. \n\nThe only good thing he's done is legalize weed and even then he's managed to screw it up by making it a government monopoly vs a free market the many US states have where entrepreneurs can thrive.

Immigration has ALWAYS been hard but many people make life more difficult when they don't understand a country's laws and/or fail to follow those laws. I know a man who came to the USA with $50 and managed to work and send money to his wife and then one day he wrote to his wife to say he couldn't send any more money because he was buying a bakery. Then he sent for her and they raised two sons, worked very hard in his little business, sent his sons to a private university. They followed the law and all are successful now. I also know a man from Colombia who came to the USA legally and a U.S. businessman saw how diligently he worked and helped him start a business. The American dream works. More than 720,000 new citizens were sworn in recently (in 2016, if my memory is correct).
