Trudeau was correct to state that Trump’s actions are Dumb. However, he incorrectly called Trump a smart person.

Is Trump dumb? Well, I suppose the outwardly obvious actions of dismantling America in front of everyone's eyes is so dumb that people can't believe their eyes. But, damn! Is America so dumb that it's just going to watch? It's such a silly play that anyone watching would walk out of the first act.

As a European American, I can truly say that I am embarrassed, shocked and disgusted by the actions of the Trump administration against our allies and partners across the world. 99.9% of American loves Canada and I am one of them!!! Stay strong because we have always overcome evil together!!!

I'm watching Trudeau deliver a fiery speech, addressing Trump directly. He called out policies and actions that have strained Canada-U.S. relations, emphasizing the consequences for both countries and the urgent need for respect and cooperation moving forward. We don’t want this, but here we are, facing the reality.

I support Canada, I have researched their border actions and its true what the Prime minister says, again says Trump lies

36 trillion in national debt. That’s over $100,000 debt for each American. This is why Trump is taking action. The U.S. is going to default on just the interest payments alone!!! Canadas national debt per Canadian is $35,000. \n\nIt’s time our politicians prepare for rainy days by building manufacturing for the raw resources rather then send them off to be sold back as products to us. We bring in wealthy immigrants that price out our Canadian born citizens trying to buy into the housing market while the tent cities grow. The Liberal party has failed us.

As a European having lived in both Canada and the United States for prolonged times, my view is this: Canadians are basically the same as Americans but with Health Care. They have a common heritage and history and this is like a brother turning evil and hurting its siblings. Trump is smart? I don't think so, he comes across as a low IQ individual born with privileges, heck he has been bankrupt what is it four times? Right now he thinks he is making America Great again but instead he is on a path to bankrupt even the US Economy. These kind of things in history often have caused actual physical War and he talks about Zelenski is toying with a 3rd world war. Wouldn't it be funny (and not in a comical sense) if in fact Trump causes the 3rd world war with his actions instead?

It irritates me that Trump attacks canada for fentanyl and illegal immigration when its the other boarder that is the vast majority supplier. Trump has not given a resoanble or justifiable reason for these tarrifs in my mind. Its a shame as some of Trumps ideas and plans I agree with but so far the vast majority of his action has not been. I have been visiting canada frequently for my outings, if I go oit for dinner or entertainment ive been making a 1 hr drive to do so, vs a 45 minute drive to seattle. I will continue to soend every leisure dollar in canada untill this tarrif trade war is corrected.

Trump in his irrational actions is showing more and more that he is in cognitive decline. My late father in law suffered from slowly succumbing to dementia before his death. He also started acting irrationally and becoming very intransigent over being right despite the opposite being true. The similarities between Trump and his decline is striking and very worrying.

I think this is an initial step of Trump trying to get Canada’s natural resources. I don’t know how it would play out, but that’s the only thing I can make sense of based on Trump’s broader actions and comments.

It seems sad that it took an action such as the one the US government had to do, to make Canada realize that we should work together as provinces and as people. Canada knew very well that our big brother in the south has been fiscally hurting since years and had been racking up enormous government, corporate and private citizen debt. If this were to continue it would pull down every single country in the world. Perhaps if the US is becoming fiscally responsible, truly eliminate fraudulent and unnecessary spending and refocus on their local economy (just like China has been doing in the last years) the rest of the world and even Canada can finally focus on their strength and local markets. After all, don't we all miss our local stores, local artisans, vibrant neighborhoods with diverse businesses and a pride in having made in our own country? May I say that this Trump era will give the whole planet a new perspective for changing our ways, reliance on others and taking the easy and greedy road!

I do hope that Canada, EU and Britain will work together, there is no reason Britain and EU cannot replace America as the main trade partners and I have seen plenty of other videos about other asian countries indicating interest in Canada's trade.\n\nBut this is much more than just tariffs, Trump has really gone off the deepend siding with Russia and undermining Ukraine, even undermining the sanctions, I wouldn't be surprised if he is already trading with Russia, using whatever bizarre pretext he chooses.\n\nThese should already be red flags to Canada, there is a long standing relationship with the UK and Ukraine, but Canada is only reacting on the tariffs, which detracts from what other action they might have taken.\n\nThe imposition of these tariffs should be the straw that breaks the camels back, I hope that if America repeals these tariffs that Canada will still diversify so that they don't ever end up in this situation again.

It’s so funny the excuse that Trump uses to justify his actions against allies such as Canada when in reality there is far more drugs going from USA to Canada than there is the other way around.
