Like I have said before, it depends on where they come from. Most people from different countries can adapt to western kind of life. For example, people from India and the Ukraine. They are used to a western kind of life. I know the weather can be a challenge in the winter, but we all just tolerate it and can't wait for the spring and summer. Unfortunately, I have heard of too many stories about certain countries in the middle east that are having issues. They seem to be under the impression that it is fine to act exactly the way they want, and be abusive to Canadians that were born here. Look what is happening in the U.K. Do I want that? NO.

I met Minister Miller in May and I was very impressed. He has a tough job. Hearing that he is dealing with disagreements within his own family..... Ugh. Really tough job.

As an American, we were always given the impression that Canada was a utopia where they had everything figured out, so this is honestly eye-opening.

I feel bad for those who were duped into coming here to Canada. They had big dreams of becoming successful here, instead not being able to do that and being forced to live in cramped accommodations. I work in healthcare, and a lot of people who work in the facility in which I'm employed were brought here from the Philippines and India, mostly. Some were hired directly by this employer, while others came here some other way. Those with professions like being an RN were under the impression that it wouldn't take that long or be that difficult to get their Canadian certification to work as RNs here. Instead, they found out that the process for that here in Canada is a lot tougher and takes a lot longer than they'd been led to believe. So many are left not being able to use their education to its fullest, instead working as care aides until they can get the proper certification. I know that this has also happened with doctors and engineers and to many in other professions for which they went to school for years. It's a real shame.\n\nThis massive influx of people coming from other countries, though, has been really tough on those of us who were already living here. It's been way too many people, and we just weren't prepared. It's been one of the biggest factors in the huge increase of cost of living and, of course, it's by far the reason we have an enormous housing shortage.\n\nI'm not completely anti-immigration, but I think that it needs to be stopped, at least for a while. Let us deal with what's going on now instead of bringing in more people that would only help to make things worse, through no fault of their own. There's no reason that we need to have more people coming here right now. We have way more than enough people here right now.

The question is why do they air this story . How come the TV station was already there . I mean come on. To me this aired to give the impression the government is very understating etc

Sad about leaving Canada? You get taxed up the….., it’s frozen for half of the year, the people are also frozen and they try to stab you in the back (especially in Quebec). A childhood classmate of mine visited Canada and these are her impressions: people are fat, disgusting, it’s boring, depressing, cold, gloomy; every second person is in a wheelchair but they don’t have to be, pretending to be disabled because the government pays them for disabilities, etc. After going back home every person that she saw on the street was extremely gorgeous in her eyes after the horror that she saw in Canada…. This is obviously a little exagerated and coming from someone whose expectations were high but you get the point.\n\nWe don’t need to be driving brand new cars all the time, live in brand new homes and spend thousands of dollars for the services that we don’t really need… life is all about simplicity and being able to enjoy every single moment: so many countries in the world offer that: not Canada.

Why are Russian or Ukrainian women so beautiful i dont know but i find them really impressive and well behaved specially im comparison to american women.

I am a Filipino, and I could say, not all Indians are bad, but a few rotten apples are to be blamed for the bad impression caused against the Indian community. My impression is that Canada has few opportunities for immigrants. They have to have local experience before they can get a job in their fields, but that creates a Catch-22 situation. Also, the Canadian economy is not doing too well, with low productivity, minimal investments in research and development, and an over-dependence on extractive industries and real estate. I think your family emigrated there at the right time, when Canada was at its best.

Go to west Ukraine or Poland - you will be impressed how Canada is far behind these locations, and people are much better there.

I visited Canada for the first time last year on a 10 day vacation. I only really saw Toronto but was impressed by how clean and safe it felt. Clearly I stayed in the more touristy and probably affluent areas so guess I had a distorted view

I'm glad to see that there was some accurate reporting, but also not surprised to see the usual left wing disingenuousness. For example it gives the impression that the Take Back Canada Reddit group was taken down because it was somehow racist, violent, etc., rather than the more likely explanation that Reddit, like most other big tech platforms no longer allows discussions that go against the political narrative. \n\nLet's not forget that The Guardian and those of their ilk are largely responsible for the mess Canada is in. My tip, make friends with people from all over the world! Germans aren't impressed with cultural aspects of life! They are obedient to rules! If kebab is available, they will eat it! If pasta is available they will eat it, too! They are an individual perspective, lot! But you will still need to speak German, to be 5% involved!

40 to 50 hours a week? I work that in Australia as an Australian. Indian universities aren't necessarily recognised overseas. Even then I've worked with many as engineers and got uber rides from many just as an example. Different cultural system. This is just my personal experience. \n\nYou have to remember that India has been studied as on of the most intolerant countries in the world. I've never got that impression from the majority of other nationalities I've worked with. You can look up the worldwide studies that rank India so high for intolerance easily. These are large surveys. \n\nEnd of the day when you have large immigration spikes without infrastructure it is doomed and you will get a lot of misplaced hatred towards immigrants as low to middle class locals rents/ house prices explode. Not to mention the low skilled jobs that immigrants will do cheaper. \n\nImmigration is a cheap way for developed countries to increase GDP. I've seen so many ads about immigration to Canada on Instagram, here in Indonesia.\nA former coworker of mine is saving now to hopefully immigrate to Canada one day. \nThe online ads give us impression that Canada is in serious need of immigrants because of birth rate decline. \nI would love to go to Canada and the western countries one day, but not as an immigrant. Why did we keep quiet for the past 2 decades when our government was not increasing incomes, didn't focus on housing supply especially cheaper apartments, but banks and politicians together put 4 times more burden on us when it comes to monthly mortgages or rents and groceries, now suddenly we call immigrants as the problem for everything. Add in greed driven inflation by the oil & grocery giants and there is no extra money for rent. Canada is a wonderful country for me and my family. I don't know any other country that would be so loyal to foreigners. Perhaps it was easier for me to adapt here, because we are from a European country where Christianity is widespread. We love Canada and embrace its traditions. Winter sports are great entertainment for children and adults. We also celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Canada Day and more. My children quickly adapted to school and I am happy that they like it! The people here are wonderful and friendly, always willing to help. There are so many possibilities! Why do we have such different impressions about this country?

Canadian Born people in Brampton aren't jobless because there are immigrants. They are jobless because they have no education and there isn't a lot of work out there apparently. Crime isn't related to the Indian population. It is related to no work, no education, living in the streets and doing drugs so once again, to Canadian Born people.
