My experience as a Canadian as we keep personal political, religious, racist beliefs to ourselves. Americans I found tend to bond to people based on these personal beliefs all too much. Love the diverse culture I live within in Canada. Should review the data on shootings in educational institutions in the US , you might be surprised how many days in a year these shootings do occur.

I am a person that loves nature. I am really hoping that the bear, wolf, and moose populations are healthy enough to help with this issue naturally. Make America AND Canada great again. Im Canadian and while the tariffs are gonna suck, I completely understand why Trump is doing it. People move to countries with wild dreams fantasising that everything will be easier and they will be richer. A lot of people just can't adapt to a new country. Some do extremely well. I know a lot of entrepreneurs that have gone to the US and Canada to start businesses and then they move back to their countries in South America or India to live an amazing lifestyle and travel a lot. I suppose it's nice to accumulate wealth faster and know that you have a Canadian passport to fall back on if you need to get out? I'm part first nations. I have 2 brothers that live in the US and they both enjoy living there. Yes, the medical is expensive and not as good as Canada's medical plan. But it's also true that you could get in fast all in the US. Hospitals pill to getting in to Canadian hospitals for appointments. For\n Myself, I love, the US has lot of nice cultures. And I Love all the theme parks that you guys have down there like Disneyland and hollywood theme park as well and even Hawaii.

I’m from a south Asian country Living in Canada. I have never found Canadians to be racist towards me or my family. We respect Canadian culture and heritage and we blend in well. Our kids are Canadians. They are not sound Asians. I don’t brain wash them to think any other country is grater than Canada. They have strong Canadian values and will be devastated if someone ever discriminates against them. I have taught them it’s a privilege that they were born in a such a great country and to love and respect their country.

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. We need skills and knowledge and we should class apart from the stupid ones.

Canadian here.. Canada has its pros and cons.. Come hell or high water I LOVE CANADA... I am home sick for Canada and will be moving back to Canada in 2025... The sooner so much the better.... It will be nice to live under the Crown and not in a republic.. I just do not care for the American mentality at all.. Also I do not like health care in the States..

I lived in the Florida Keys and loved it but the bumper stickers that said Yankees go home made me wonder how they felt about Canadians. I was injured at work and was taken to the hospital were work paid the hospital bill but when the nurse said go to the drugstore and buy a bandage they will be cheaper then if I put one on you. That was a rude awaking as to where I was.\nThe next was I was living with a nurse and at the hospital they brought in a person that had no ID on him. He had been in a terrible car accident but with no ID they would not treat him ,so he died. Turned out he was a Doctor from Key West driving to Miami . The hospital staff were in shock they had let one of their own die. In Canada they would operate first and worry about money or insurance later.

Thanks to multiculturalism, immigrants have been told time and again by Canada-hating politicians that they don't need to assimilate, they can keep everything they cherish, from their language to their religion, customs, values, traditions, heck they are encouraged to display them in public for the sake of diversity. My brother accepted a tech job with a firm in the US. He always expressed his belief that Canada was not up to the US. He was elated to move to the US. Two years later he limped back to Canada, without his job, and without his love for US culture. He seldom speaks of his time in the US.\n\nThis is not to say that his experience is the experience of every Canadian moving to the US, or that it is even typical, but it was his experience for whatever than counts.\n\nI think that this may be a much different experience for US citizens born and raised in their own culture.

I'm a French Canadian and I love India and Indians. I'm learning Hindi and Punjabi, love the food, language, and music. It's just that Canada needs to denounce Khalistan! I want to clarify some things here. MOST people in India do not support a separate state like Khalistan, it's implausible as they would need their own currency and military... It would be as if you asked an average Quebecer if they wanted to separate. There is only ONE India and ONE Canada which includes Quebec! The Khalistani movement should be declared a terrorist organization. These protestors SHOULD be mad if indeed a policeman supports Khalistan. Vancouver resident here - I live a couple blocks away from a college, and can confirm that the student populace not only exploded but is almost exclusively Indian and it wasn’t gradual. \n\nPersonally, this seems to be the most egregious of it because aside from the sheer numbers, they don’t seem to be making the area any less safe or being a nuisance. And at those numbers, they patronize nearby businesses, helping the local economy. Can’t complain about that.\n\nHome prices have been out of control for decades, and so have hospital wait times - these are Canadian problems for which the Indians are merely a recent contributor (if at all). \n\nThe issues Canadians are facing from the influx of Indian seeking education and/or PR’s are under the jurisdiction of Canada’s Trudeau government - a group that is facing deep criticism amongst Canadians. They are now trying to placate us by walking back over the Indians they welcomed here in the first place. \n\nAnd that action subsequently (though not intentionally) gives justification for Canada’s most deplorable citizens to place blame on said Indians and discriminate freely. \n\nHaving said that, the main issue Vancouver locals have that is that (once again due to the Trudeau government) we seem to have imported a violent form of Indian politics that cause blood to be spilled on our streets - I don’t know the details between the sides, just want that sh!t shut down. wow this is just an opinion video of sorts, but guess i'm proud to live in montreal. i own the last army surplus store here. 1423 st laurent. i love montreal as a city, the food is second to none for all of north america. um, weather is full winter during dec to feb. i also live near magog in the eastern townships which is beautiful.\ni've been to pei, love it there, great beaches and very quiet. never been to BC, and living here, i would never visit the middle of canada, just flat and boring and drugs are a big problem and homelessness. cabot trail in ( i did it on bicycle) is fabulous. quebec city, amazing.\ni'm a proud canadian and surely there are far worse countries in the world to live in. but when i retire full time , it will leave for a warmer climate (snow bird) in the winter. not florida, too busy and not nearly as nice as the Caribbean, i go to Curacao 1 month every winter. perfect weather and being dutch has great food and is safe island and beaches are second to none........

I am a 4th generation Canadian and I left for the US on a TN work visa. I love life down here and will never move back to Canada. I have a much better life. I can afford a beautiful home and a nice car and still have money left over to travel. I have a master's degree and I cannot afford to live in the People's Socialist Republic...I mean Canada.

The viewpoint that was ignored in this video is the that of the Canadians who have been building this country for generations. The only mention of us is of one rally of defeated and frustrated Canadians, who are being victimized and displaced. Companies will no longer hire us - at all - in favour of everyone else. It's called DEI. Inclusion actually means everyone. Institutions are removing all history and acceptance of the Canadians of European descent - and calling us names like racist, transphopic etc. in order to silence us. Meanwhile, when teenagers, seniors, and every other Canadian whose families have built the luxuries that you love, are being forced into homelessness (while being called racist, phobic etc). You both seem like the quality immigrants who are welcome here. Unfortunately the majority of the bodies that have been imported here don't care at all about Canada, or the people, or the laws, or the language. They were just imported from 3rd world war torn places, and all the Canadians are being shut up. We are all being victimized; I know you're not the bad guys. Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

Hello Anna and Anastasia your channel is truly a hidden gem full of useful information and insight. I am an international student myself and I agree with all your points in the video, Canada used immigration to fix a deeper problem and that is its difficulty to incentivize the economy by having a heavily regulated environment, high taxes and low productivity. It will definitely alleviate some of the pressure on the system but, the real cause is still there. The first sector that is going to be affected will be the education as colleges and universities became over reliant with the revenue coming from Int. Students (which is not particularly small) and institution will need to adapt. When I first came here I fell in love with the country and I really feel fortunate to enjoy this beautiful place and doing everything to assimilate and integrate myself into the culture. I think here you can have a sense of hope of things improving in the future (something that is not the case in my home country) but if they do not fix the underlying problem it does not matter how much immigration they reduce, Canadians will not see a significant improvement. Keep the awesome work!!!

Someone should let them know that so called better life is not waiting for them in Canada at least. We have plenty of our own political tensions, we're taxed to death, probably have the worst health care system in the world, extremely high cost of living, everything is expensive, the only jobs available are part time, crappy overpriced food, a housing crisis and brutal winters every single year.. Nothing but pissed off, miserable people here. Many Canadians I know have moved to India and love it. Come if you like but I bet you'll wish you hadn't, especially when Trudeau won't let you go back, not with your money anyway.

I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

Local here, born and raised in BC. As much as I love our country and history, I don't see myself being able to live here in the future. Real estate is the driving factor for the economy and with those housing/COL prices going up, I won't even be able to afford a split mortgage even if I had a steady 6 figure job. I don't want to leave Canada but I'm being indirectly forced to by the current Liberal government. Sure, our dollar was tanking before Trudeau enter power, but while he has been in power, it has barely changed and now is very close to reaching the same values we had in the Covid pandemic. Experts are estimating it to even go below that. It is not a good time to be a Canadian.

Because people are still sold to the Canadian dream they immigrate but they don't know how hard it is to live here. I am native here and french canadian, so I won't leave my birthplace unless for France (I have the nationality) because I feel home with other quebecers like me. We don't feel really Canadian, but Québécois! And our people are talkative and friendly. I love the people here in Qc. Even if it`s a poor country now, I feel a lot of countries are going throught the same situation of mass immigration and low income. I bet there are nicer places than Canada, but not with our culture. I also love the first nations here.

Come to Surrey BC! I've lived here all my life, and live about 7km's from the house I was brought home as a baby, so I've never left this city, and I, like that gentleman and lady you talked to, often feel like I am the only Caucasian in Surrey! Go by any elementary school, and you'd find it difficult to see any hair colour than straight black! Like when I went to school, so many now are driven to school by parents or grandparents that where brought over to Canada as well, so traffic around schools very often is chaotic at best! The once peaceful sound of birds singing, is now taken up with sirens, from ambulance and fire trucks, it's hideous! I too would love to move, but we keep asking, 'where'...as we'd like to be in an area with just caucasians, to feel 'at home' again! It's not that I don't like the people, but most in Surrey, are much more well off than the average Canadian, driving high end cars, and even their teenage kids have high end vehicles. So, like many Canadians, I'd just like to see normalcy & common sense once again, and a complete end to immigration, until ALL of our crisis's are taken care of!

However, the Liberal politics of the last 9 years have been a disaster, from high inflation, uncontrolled immigration, lack of pro business investments, homelessness, housing… this is to list just a few issues. Canada - Ontario was really great. I came from latinoamerica, and Canada was into real diversity. Now, I feel like getting pushed out of the province, not from Canadians but by Indians.
