Sooner Canada gets rid of this guy the better. He seems to make a balls of everything he does.

Trump also caused China to cut the flow of Rare Earth Minerals to the US which lead to the attempt to extort Ukraine of its natural resources. Similar situation , failure to recognize that China is supplying the raw materials driving the surge in technical advancement. To then try to deny the product of that raw material supply, aka cutting edge Chips.. back to China, is moronic. In Trumps world a Win/Win is a sign of weakness...except now China cut off the US from supply and there is no replacement.... Annnnnnnnd so the logical move is to pick other things being supplied and do the same to Canada..... when Canada pulls the plug on supply, the result will be the same. EVERYONE worldwide should take note and begin cutting supplies to the US and ceasing dependance on US manufacturers in favor of those with governments who will accept Mutually beneficial relationships as what they are...a Win/Win. China and Canada should deepen ties. Ukraine is better off working with Russia than allowing itself to be extorted. Everyone else should distance themselves from the US and honestly this damage Trump is doing will take decades to undo. The US is not reliable so long as they fail recognize international law and fair trade when it doesnt suit them... this is good for noone, but it will be worst on the US. Thats how WW2 started... Tariffs collapsed the German economy. Caused the Great depression. Germany and its people were forced into a corner. This is what Trump and his masters are trying to do. Starting WW3 is on someones agenda and whomever that is is also pulling Trumps strings. Bad times ahead

Perhaps a more pragmatic approach that avoids unnecessary antagonism with China would serve us better. \n\nAs for Canada, it will adapt and find new trading partners, just as Australia did when China attempted economic coercion. And through it all, Canada, know that Australia will stand with you—always.

As a European, I am proud of Canada. Fight back even if it hurts a little bit. You are in the better position in the long run!

My husband and I were both immigrants to Canada, he from S. Africa, I from the UK. I never experienced any discrimination. My busband was diagnosed with late stage bone cancer at 31 years old. The medical care was so good that he lived another 6 mostly happy years. We were supported by the Ontario Health Care system with visiting nurses, even housekeepers and received every help we could possibly need, at no cost to us. I will always be grateful for the love and support we received from Canadian friends, employers and the medical professionals. What a country! I am in Europe now but feel strongly that Canada, the EU, Britain, the wonderful Ukrainians (I know quite a few refugees) and other countries of good will should work together for a better world. We are a family and families support each other in difficult times. Americans welcome when they are ready.

Trump might be able to sell the idea of Fortress North America. Ensures something like tariffs can’t happen. Trudeau and Canada are protecting its workers - federal and private and yes, all of Canada. Canada is United. Trudeau's words are smoke and mirrors a bit imo. Liberals will go forward with an additional 20% carbon tax dispitie the tariffs occurring. Trump isn't the only one that is harming Canada in one way or another. Trump is forcing Canada to do better with our borders and crisis's that had not been addressed quickly enough. We (Canada) allowed these issues to get out of hand and it took another country to tell us that we needed to do better because the issues affect them as well. I'm sorry our Canadian's fellows, this is not personal, it's just business. All this year the USA economy has been decreased because we buy (importing) more goods than selling (exporting). We are no in good shape economically to support other countries' economies. We need companies to come back to produce in the USA and those extra charges are an incentive to start producing again in the USA. After our economy is better, we can make new deals. \nAbout Fentanyl, it is funny that he said that it was all good and after that, saying just in the last months implemented all kinds of security measures. LOL \nHe speaks nice, but he is not a smart guy. Putting tariffs back to the USA makes it worse with Donald Trump. Donald Trump is a businessman, he can keep increasing the taxes and in the end, Canada will be hurt more than the USA.
