The Drug Fentanyl is coming into the USA because Americans want it to come in .\n. Why is it that everyone outside of America has an expectation on how we should be that benefits them. This can has been kicked down the road for multiple decades. The waste, fraud, and abuse we are uncovering in the government. The situation with NATO and Ukraine and no one can fix their problems or issues without the US. We have aggressive homelessness, poverty, poor education system, high taxes, and a government that in the past has done nothing but pimp our tax dollars out just for kickbacks. Everyone is pissing and moaning about our domestic problems while also having an extremely high bar on the international stage. I have never received aid from the UN, never receive money from other countries, nor assistance. Is no one in America tired of this? Here we are talking about Bourbon tax….lol. We Canadians are suckers if we're giving billions more to Ukraine. Trudeau needs to go now. As for the tariff, I think we need to strike back hard, and continue the boycott of US goods. If we could, would be great do cut off all energy going to the States, but thanks to Trudeau, we don't have cross country pipelines to do that. As a Canadian, I am more afraid of the people than their healthcare system. And I am chronically ill and would be homeless in America. As a home owner (with a mortgage) and nearing retirement, my first reaction is that I want housing prices to remain high so I can get the most from my house when I downsize. \nHowever, my house sale is so I can downsize into a home that I can buy outright with the money I get from selling my bigger current house. If my house value goes down, I would be OK as long as the price that I would pay from a smaller home also goes down. I want to live in a home that would have no mortgage. I will only get the minimum income in retirement so I need to be in a home without a mortgage payment, if at all possible.

If my country doesn't get housing costs under control they're in serious trouble. The average house in the town I live in is something like 900K and there's basically no local economy. With costs so high I can't afford to start a family. If we keep gaining old folks needing healthcare while keeping housing expenses high and wages low taxes will have to keep going up.\n\nI am not going to continue to pay huge portions of my income for the benefit of the elderly while I can't afford a decent lifestyle. I don't want to but it seems moving to the US or elsewhere is the only option if things continue this way. At list point the local governments are so invested in denying housing permits and abusing zoning laws to prevent housing being built that the only way to fix it would be to strip the provinces and cities of the right to decide their own zoning bylaws. \n\nI want to see a change in the constitution that makes zoning bylaws illegal. There are too many people thinking of their self interest and not of the Nations interest. We deserve to lose the right to decide what can be built in our neighborhoods. We have been abusing this right for too long

However, we have one key advantage over our friends to the south, and one I hope that over time this will increasingly bear fruit: we are not governed by a fascist-adjacent government. Our only political party with policies resembling the American Republicans is polling in the low single digits.\n\nSetting aside the question of whether American Republicans are 'fascist-adjacent', the truth is that much of the world perceives it as such. Our economy is so tied to the US that I would not wish them ill, or at least not very much. However, I think in the competition for talent American politics will be like a 'mark of Cane' on that country for a generation. The problem here is that building more houses de-values existing houses. Your parents are the ones lobbying against building your house. Regulations need to be massively reformed (e.g. ignore nimby's), alternatively there should be a framework for constructions projects to financially compensate local property owners for their loss in value. A lot less nimby's would exist if they got $10,000 for the construction of a new block of flats.

Most illegal migrants spend thousands of dollars to commit the crime (entering any sovereign country illegally is simply an invasion). If they dare to enter China or any of the Arab countries this way, then who knows, they would be in heaven or hell rather than back home. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers?But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

My issue is the invasion will never completely stop. They will try anything to get back in here. There are so many millions of people who want to come here and they will never stop trying. Deport and they just come back later. Dangerous criminals will always find money to facilitate getting back here. \nWe may need to take a large area of an unpopulated western state and turn it into a prison (and nice neighborhoods for all the employees needed to run everything) for anyone who enters illegally.
