I live in Canada for 26 years and seems like you guys are educated people and that’s main reason why you got direct PR. But I like to tell you that 2.5 months in Canada is not enough to explore. Also, if you keep Indian job options open, you’ll always go back. I have my brother in law who went back after 2.5 years just because he couldn’t take winter ?…and also, there are lots of veg options here…I don’t agree with you on that point. But after this Khalistani thing started, I feel guilty of being Canadian citizen ??

The Truth is the developed countries have lots of opportunities to offer only if you go with the right intention. The problem with we Africans we like short cuts in everything. Japan is a beautiful country and there is something for you or family to do every season, the question is how many can afford it?\nThe cost of living here in Japan is so high and it’s worse with inflation.\nMost foreigners here are here to teach English, they cannot survive with one job. Lynn some of these people say it is a trap but if you ask them why they are still in Canada, they won't tell you. He left Canada and was back after 7 years. Why not buy the properties in his country. Why go back to Canada to buy those properties? For some reason I feel bad that those who have gone have found a way of discouraging those who aspire to be there yet themselves don't want to leave. A few months ago, I was planning my move to Toronto for my kids education. Both my kids are Canadians and I felt that there will be more options for university in Toronto for both of them. But after the last 2 months seeing and hearing all these issues in Canada, my inner voice is telling me not to make the move. It’s scary hearing abt the healthcare crisis, crime and housing cost. Comparing to what I have now in Singapore, I’m not too sure anymore if Canada has a bright future ahead. Will Canada bring in privately run medical to support the medical crisis? And I read that Canada is in deficit now, how is it going to come out of it and solve all these problems at the same time.

Great video! US immigration system is soul crushing and very expensive. As a Korean Canadian (Scientist with a PhD) who immigrated to US in 2012, I was lucky to get my green card in 2020. Since then I sponsored my wife and my daughter but their immigration cases have been in limbo due to the pandemic and we are still waiting for their green cards. You made a great point about why many people wants to immigrate to US from Canada because of pay. It is true that same job in the US pays so much better but you forget to mention a few points that the higher pay in the US is not that much advantageous if you calculate the cost of other life expenses. Sure house is very expansive in Canada but it is expensive in the US too. I live in MA and the average price is so much expensive. Additionionally, important things in life are very expensive in the US compared to Canada such as Child care, children's education, health cares etc... Example: My friends from Quebec only pay 7$/day for daycare (~140$/month). My friends in Massassuchetts pays on average (2800$/month). My friends kids will pay around 2000$/year for university tuition if they go to an university in Quebec. My kid will have to pay around 10000$/year if she decides to go to in state university if not it could be more than 40000$/year. I know that health care system in Canada is not perfect but it is much cheaper. In US, it is so expansive. My daughter birth only costs us in Canada 100$. My friend kid birth in MA with a great health insurance cost more than 5000$. Without health insurance, it could go even higher. Now if you lose your job, you lose your health insurance so good luck if you become sick. Additionally, depending where you go in the US, they have a gun problem. Luckily for me, I live in MA where gun control is very strong. Anyway, this is just to tell you that higher pay isn't always better.

The States is wonderful in many ways, but the your private health care system is dreadful. People die because their HMOs tell Americans what diagnostic tests they can or cannot afford. I read that one in four US families go bankrupt because of huge medical bills NOT covered by their insurance. Also the gun situation would give most Canadians pause. In Canada, only hunters, trappers, remote forest workers and cops carry guns. Last but not least: the right wing MAGA goons terrorizing people for flying Pride flags freak me out. Canada is a free country. We have bigots and thugs here too — but they don’t run the show the way they do in so many places in the States.

First time that I watched your channel - and I commend your candor and your openness. I lived in Canada in the Niagara peninsula and the Greater Toronto Area from 1953 to 1989. Then in 1990, I had a job opportunity to work for a Michigan base company that allowed me much global business travel. I could have moved to Michigan with my wife and two sons however I decided that my residence would still be in Canada on the Windsor side of the Detroit river. I commute every working day across the border and I am glad that I did in fact remain a resident of Canada. I do have a green card still to this day in 2023 as I continue to work for the same company. I can tell you that the for the first few months in 1990, every time that I would cross the border to go back home, I felt a sense of ease and contentment to be back in Canada. I do like the USA but I prefer living in Canada.

Drove to Mexico from Canada and got stopped at U.S. border. They were concern that me and my friend would not go to Mexico but rather try to move to the USAfor work., I couldn't tell the border officer that there were no conceivable reasons for us to move to USA.

As a Canadian I'd just like to say, she's so wrong. Africans love Canada, and we love them. Now, African Americans, thats a tricky one. Today the minimum wages is 15 dollars, but he cost of a home is about 1 million which is 5 times more than 1997.\n The wages has only doubled. I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. It's an easy claim because literally, if you can't insulate your self in winter you go visit the great gardener Jesus and his weirdo multipersonality disorder. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.
