I see many homes once occupied by a family go for sale and become an apartment building for students and/or immigrants. So many people going into the homes that traffic increased many times , moving trucks any time of the month (they must rent by day or week?) and they really pack them in. A 4 bedroom home can see 10 people in it, they don't use the driveway, it sits empty in most of the homes that sold for this purpose . They are generally quit and very inconspicuous except for the people in and out all the time with backpacks on. My only complaint is they they move, they trash the furniture on the side of the street for the neighborhood to enjoy until the city picks it up. \n\nThe person owning that home is making bank on the rentals. so I see why they don't want to stop this.

Canada has become an exclusive club for people who want to own a home or own real estate. Supply side issues but open immigration has made it a real estate haven for investors from all over the world. Black money or not, you can easily bring drug or money laundering, or other dishonest (a.k.a haram) money into Canada, and law enforcement is asleep at the wheel. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. But, here are the (long-term) advantages of living here, vs. The Philippines:\n- free healthcare - no matter how rich you are back home, wealth can be depleted if a major illness strikes;\n- free education for your kids up to highschool and opportunity for your kids to enter worldclass universities after highschool;\n- government programs that actually work - Worker rights are upheld, doleouts when you lose your job, 12-month mat/paternity leave, doleout/govt match when you save for yr kid’s university educ, tax rebates for whatever you save for retirement, retirement income even if you never held a job, infrastructures are maintained, transparency and stability of political system; \n- safer environment - yes, greater crimes lately, but still one of the safest places to live. I live in greater Toronto, and sometimes we forget to lock our door at night or leave a bicycle outside and nothing happens;\n- commitment to the environment - the country adheres to protecting the envt. You can drink water from the faucet. Strict laws on recycling and waste disposal. Greenbelt protection on forest and conservation park areas, even in the cities. Canada also has the world’s biggest water supply...in today’s global climate change, were decades away from water wars;\n- a beautiful country with friendly, humble and relaxed people who observe work-life balance

I know of a situation where a canadian woman was living with a man who after he got his pr call the cops on him saying he rape her. He is now in jail because of her lie and can't wait to leave as this seems to be the norm for women there to use the men then get them in jail by lying to the cops. We had to move out from Brampton bc it become terrible place to live. 3000 sq ft beautiful homes in nice subdivision. House next to us, 4 families in one house crowded like rats. Indian music playing laud in garage on Sundays. About 15 kids seating on top of 6 ft fence staring in our backyard. Couldn’t enjoy life anymore. Crime start to spike. I am a US citizen and think of moving to Canada. Gun violence, homeless on the street, and migrants are hazard to live here. I went to Montreal last summer, staying in Travelodge near Old Montreal. Two nights stay cost me over $500 USD. It is really outrageous as I spent the same amount for a whole week on cruise, including room and all meals 4 years ago.
