I've worked 5.5 years in the Netherlands in an ordinary town. I'm a Dutch citizen now, and I can easily move to Paris/Brussels/Rome. I'm moving in the upcoming months. Europe is kind of one big country, and Canada is a sparsely populated state with a notoriously cold climate everywhere.

I feel sorry to see all these news about Canada. Canada is a beautiful country it values family. Instead of granting visa to high school graduates they should welcome more to family sponsorship, professional graduate students on the funded program. Canadian take student loan from government to fund thier undergraduate program. People chose to immigrate for quality of life and experience new things. It is very disappointed to mobe to that country where the housing is top challenges and affordability. The consutlant offices has to be penalized for selling canadian pr. The funny part about this whole thing is none of the neighbouring states want to take in the Palestinians. This has been said on many different news medias including Al Jazeera. Such countries like Britain, France, Germany,Italy, Canada and Sweden just to name a few.

The article claims that for decades, immigrants have fuelled Canada's ecomonic growth. Ok, but what about strengthening its culture, to ensure that in the long term, this country remains successful? No, from what i have seen, the breakneck rate of immigration has hollowed out Canada's culture. What I see around me are newcomers that are not being integrated, or that outright refuse to, or are openly hostile to the host culture. How any of these people believe that Canada can remain successful, and them also, as a result, is beyond me. To me, it seems obvious we need a pause and reset and I'm doubtful that this small decrease in applications will achieve anything.

Canada is going down because of their politicians leadership

I think it is the quality of the immigrants that come to Canada that needs to be analysed. If too many low skilled or people with unemployable skills are granted visas, then any country, let alone Canada, would seem like a tough country to settle and earn. Canadian govt seems to be lenient in allowing too many unemployable ppl to get into the country. This has resulted in an imbalance. It just needs a strong govt which Canada lacks at this point in time. 90% of the problems can be solved within 4 to 5 years if govt stops or regulates visas.
