I rent a room in Ottawa for maybe 2 months and when I left. I heard the landlord was imply in something very bad that they said at the tv. a few years later, maybe 5 years later when I applied for my Canadian pardon, the ottawa police wrote something about me like was i was subject in that event! I went to the police of ottawa and they said sorry we cannot find out who mentionned that because after few years the info is deleted or not accesible to the public. That affected my pardon. and when I saw thos crazy behavior of Canadian government and the peoples in Ottawa, that give me more reason to not go back to canada. I never saw so many crazy peoples in a country

I'm sorry to hear that you wish to leave Canada. I understand the problem with winters. I think inflation is a world problem that you can not escape. Real estate in Australia is expensive because the nation is highly successful and ordinary citizens are wealthy, and this includes real estate, plus with 3 billion middle class Asian's right above Australia the Asian economy dwarfs the US economy to insignificance. Job opportunities are dictated by the fields the economy needs - oil is insignificant in Australia compared to other industries. Geographic Isolation - Thank god the rest of the world is far away, as an Australian I wish it was further away. Air fares prior to pandemic were reasonable USA to Australia around $800 return - but this guy lives in Perth so to go 4-5,000km to the east coast will be expensive - on the east coast a one way ticket to another city can be had for around $50 to $80 - Again for Australians proximity to the US market is not significant we are focused on the Asian region. Natural beauty anywhere is amazing but I prefer a warm climate over a frozen one - The Canadian population is all centered around the US/Canadian border region the rest of Canada like central Australia is vastly empty. In conclusion I find many immigrants want to move from Australia to Canada is proximity to the USA but for Australians the US market or lifestyle is not attractive or important.

As a canadian i never thoughg of living anywhere else vanxouver is so beautiful. Growing up govrnmebt started cutting programs and services in schools ans public resources. And kept doing it. \n\nNow they are removinf beautiful homes to build ugly apartments no yards .\n\nThere is not enough public space. Everyone is moving to the city. We use to be able to go to the beach on a weekday in spring and there was no one. Now its packes. To get to the bathroom was almost a block long. The bathrooms are small. Goos for population we has in the early 90s. We need somethings 4x larger now. \n\nIm ok with new comers but if they create a new community in the rural areas. We have so many areas up north no one moves to.\n\nOr lots of space to build new communities up north, not deatroy the current communities that already exist. \n\nWith all the new apartments there is not enough space for cara, no parking and no room on public transportation.\n\nSimply, the city cannot support anymore people. Its unrealistic. \nI worked with a girk who shares a 1 bedroom apartment with 5 other people and she still paid 1500 a month for rent.\n\nThis will soon be like america - run down, extreme poverty & homelessness. The homelessness has gotten so extreme.\n\nWages havw increased maybe 3x since i was a kid, but pricea rose eveey year.\n\nAs a kid we paid $850 for 3 bedrooms. I'm not muslim, but I've lived and worked in Saudi where Islam permeates every facet of life. I also lived in worked in Malaysia where Muslims make up the majority. Both countries have their advantages and disadvantages. As you have a Canadian passport you're more likely to get a better job in Saudi. No guarantee of that in Malaysia. \nI found the food better in Malaysia, but the food in Saudi is pretty darn good too. \nWinter in Saudi is very nice, at least where I lived in Khobar. However, it is brutally hot for 7-8 months a year. Malaysia is tropical, meaning its very warm to hot with high humidity and rain. \nI can't talk about other countries as I haven't that much experience. Wherever you go, best of luck.

Im from Toronto. This isn’t a post covid fall out, it’s the fall out of bad government planning and rapid globalization. \nFun fact, 1 in 10 of of council housing goes to homeless immigrants. This means they are pushed up the given homes before other low income Canadians already here. I take zero issue with us welcoming others, however i do take issue with the fact we’re stretching our resources so thin. . We got a bigggg problem on our hands. Crimes going up because no ones needs are being met and as you mentioned out healthcare system fails those who need it most.

As a born and raised Canadian I made the decision to flee my homeland of 42 years the moment that the current regime came to power in 2015. I ended a highly successful, well-paid 20+ year career, sold everything I owned and was gone within six months. Leaving is not a big deal without the renunciation of the canadian citizenship. Because when you'll not be happy in the country you'll go to live in, there is a great possibility that you want to return to canada. And THAT will be a malicious behavior.

This is a good example of what differentiates a Canadian from a person who holds Canadian citizenship. Not that you're wrong about the state of our morally bankrupt secular culture and government, but that's something that I'm going to fight against. I'm not going to run away, because this is my country that my ancestors spilled their blood for, and it's still worth fighting for, at least to me. I and every other Canadian have no other home to flee to. As far as Canada not being Muslim-friendly enough, why should it be. This is a Christian country founded on Christian morality and Christian-based law. People have to stop using rental prices in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. That's like Americans using rental costs in Bel-Air California or Manhattan as an example of what rent costs in America. It's not a realistic portrayal of rental costs. \nHere in Quebec the the annual tax rate is between 26.53% and 53.31%, depending on income. Then you have to consider all the socialist programs that you are forced to pay into, which also sucks up a significant amount on your weekly salary. After that, you must consider that you pay 15% sales tax on almost everything. It's safe to say that half of your yearly earnings, give or take, are taken in taxes and socialized programs. As for salaries, less than 20% of the Canadian population make a 6 figure salary. We're not talking about household income. I am talking about individual income. You're not going to become rich here in Canada! The majority of people who do become rich leave Canada to avoid taxation. Canadians live a life of debt. You will live just balancing your debt to make sure it doesn't get out of control Few Canadians have money in savings without debt. The ones who do have money saved, most of them have debts on top of their savings which is counterproductive in my opinion.

To make matters worse, there are some who become “Canadians of Convenience” who, once becoming Canadian citizens and holding Canadian passports, leave Canada to go live in their countries and when things blow off, and their countries become war torn, they ask the Canadian government to pay for their flights back, not to mention those who get sick outside the country and come back to get treated at the expense of government health care. And after all is done, they once again leave the country. Really?

Toronto and Canada claim to be inclusive and diverse. I know many gay men who have been beaten up on the TTC. One buddy was beaten to a pulp, and no one helped him. I see comments about the u.s. ... oh', so much better, lower taxes etc. Fact: in 2024, a nuclear family (2 parents, 2 kids) in the u.s. often pays over $2,000/mo, every month, just for medical insurance premiums. That is just another form of tax ... the cost of living.Tuition, far higher in the u.s. Property taxes, far higher. I lived in the u.s. for 20 yrs, and returned to Canada. And, Canadian society is less violent, less racist, more polite, more civilized, there is less social anxiety. If you don't like it here, go try America. Canada is among the best of countries with a higher standard of living for average working families, than in the u.s.

Oh as a second note, if any immigrant is watching this and is considering moving here. DON'T. And it's not because your not wanted which by the way is a growing trend with Canadians wanting less immigration. But simply for the fact that Trudeau and his policies for the past 8 years has damaged this nation beyond recognition. There is a good chance you'll end up with a low wage job or pan handling to make money (I've seen such a massive increase in immigrant pan handlers the past few years, it's unsettling). Its going to take at least a decade of reversing and implementing new policies to get Canada back on track to where it was 10 years ago, then take another decade to catch up to where it should be now.
