While I understand the anxiety the Muslim woman in the video feels, her accent is as Canadian as it can be which tells me she probably was born in Canada or came here as an infant. She's obviously had enough time to assimilate. She either has or hasn't. If she has, she's being discriminated against for no other reason than that she's Muslim, which speaks to a mindset that is being espoused by Stephen Harper. When your leader says the things he's saying it doesn't speak well of the country. It would be more honest if he blocked all immigration of Muslims to Canada, but then the Muslims would really have a case if other nationalities were allowed in. Given Canada's small population they're kind of stuck.

The niqab looks ridiculous.  It looks like what a bank robber or someone with a facial defect would wear.  The hijab should not be mandatory either.   Even the Quaran is not specific about the modest attire it prescribes (for both sexes).  There is too much pressure for Muslim women to put on this stupid attire.   It's pathetic that Muslims have to fear speaking out to even mildly criticize their religion and truly horrifying that most Muslims actually support killing people for leaving the religion.

This is the same thing they do everywhere, play the minority card. Islam is a vile, pernicious ideology that has considerably eroded the quality of life in all Western countries it has come in contact with. It has led to the mass rape of local children (think Britain and Australia), terrorism, and general disdain toward non-believers. At the very least, even if the majority of Muslims are moderate (and numerous polls have shown otherwise), they exhibit disproportionately high unemployment rates and are significant recipients of welfare relative to other groups, so I certainly do not see any economic rationale behind mass Muslim immigration either. We must stop importing Islam into our great nation before it is too late. I commend the few politicians who have had the common sense and audacity to speak out in this regard.
