This is a good example of what differentiates a Canadian from a person who holds Canadian citizenship. Not that you're wrong about the state of our morally bankrupt secular culture and government, but that's something that I'm going to fight against. I'm not going to run away, because this is my country that my ancestors spilled their blood for, and it's still worth fighting for, at least to me. I and every other Canadian have no other home to flee to. As far as Canada not being Muslim-friendly enough, why should it be. This is a Christian country founded on Christian morality and Christian-based law. I'm not an islamophobe, but I do believe that our cultures and people should remain separate, as they are quite alien to one another in many ways and there's no getting around that. I don't want my country becoming more Islamic just as you don't want your home country becoming more Christian.

This is my 13th year in Canada, I am so sad to see the change, I really hope it will become a better country again with Trudeau stepping down. But we also have to be fair that there are not many countries become better since COVID. Many of you leaving or planning to leave Canada are more like rich country retirees taking advantage of the wage and currency differences between rich and poor countries. So let’s put it this way, if many of you have not worked your whole life here in Canada, will you still have a quality of life in your home countries, such as Southeast Asia or South America? I doubt majority of the population there is make a good money and having great work life balance, and everyone there could afford a decent retirement life. what is more close to nowadays reality is people coming here and hoping they could have a better paid job and settle down here, but most of them found out they are struggling to even maintain their normal life in this country, so they left. For those who came years ago, they made a saving which may not be enough to support a good retirement life here, but is more than enough in other countries, they also choose to flee. Then those successful immigrants will stay here with the option to travel anywhere they want. My son's classmate's grandfather immigrated to Canada long time ago who later become a well known cardiologist and was rewarded as one of the top 25 immigrants Award, all three daughters are now specialists too. I really hope Canada could rise again!

I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. I am not Muslim, Christian by tradition, not religious. I am an immigrant in the U.K. for over 30 years and this is my pint of view… One common remarkable characteristic of us, all immigrants, is the fact that we will always criticise the country we are living in, due to the fact that we will always miss our origins, no matter how good or bad both countries are, and most of us subconsciously live our lives waiting for that settlement of living in the perfect place, ideally our original place of birth with all the positives according to the way we think, act and believe. The only decision that should get anyone to leave Canada is, without doubt, the fact that it's become a totalitarian state thanks to Trudeau. However, he also invited more of you in, and, let's be frank, you want everyone there to be Muslim. And most of them dont want to be Muslim or be dictated to by guys support terrorism to achieve your aim of ruling the world. ALL the other religions in Canada and elsewhere are there for a quality life, and for decades found their prayer spots, ate fish or even kosher, attended public schools but taught their religion privately, survived civil law etc - all except one. I came to Canada in Jan 2022 on permanent residence from India and returned back to India in November 2023. My reason to move to Canada was, I moved back to India for personal reasons after living in USA for 10 years (studies + work). I moved to Canada because I missed US, and thought it was difficult to adjust in India, and US would never give me green card anyway (due to country of birth quota). I moved to Canada with a job in hand, but opportunties are limited here. On top salaries are low, even compared to India. Healthcare is a disaster. In US, I could see a doctor next day. I had 4 surgeries done in US, multiple CT scans and countless X-rays. Never had an issue. In Canada, despite paying high taxes I fear of not able to get medical treatment and wait for months to see specialist. \nSlowly I realized, this country is not USA anyway and was naive of me to think of it as a viable replacement. I ended up returning back to India, as in end I realized India has issues, Canada has different ones but in India at least I can earn well (70 to 80K CAD while 2 BHK costs me like 500 CAD per month, 300,000 CAD for luxurious 3.5 BHK) and I can be close to my parents, the reason for which I left US. I will always miss US though. As long as I have family in India, I will never think of settling anywhere else. But the only country I would ever consider in future is USA.

I'm so happy for you guys making this decision. As a growing teen who is now pretty much an adult but still under my parents roof, it is hard for me to overcome these difficulties. Toronto has become a big injection center for drug addicts, that's one of the reasons I left Canada. It was so depressing to see that everyday downtown Toronto or pretending not to see them but the fact is, it was way too depressing and I didn't want to see them anymore. Also, places such as Moss Park have become a shooting place at night for no reason so taking a walk in the park' without taking big risk wasn't an option anymore. Not to mention the cost of living for such a bad quality of life, barely being able to afford buying some basic products such as milk or vegetables. Canada has become so bad. So glad I left and I don't regret it for one minute. There are so many better and friendlier countries out there.

It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. This is a very thoughtful and balanced review. As a retired Canadian who had a good job for most of my life, I'm saddened by the decline in almost all areas of life, lifestyle and and people's aspirations in this country. This decline actually seems quite rapid, I would say from 2015 onwards. Housing in major centres was expensive, but it has skyrocketed in the past decade. There has been a decline in many institutions: 1. health-care, especially noticeable since the pandemic that coincided with many boomer medical staff retiring, but also by our sclerotic institutions refusing to enable foreign-trained doctors to work here. Many foreign-trained doctors in the Vancouver area are doing jobs way below their qualifications while many people cannot even get a family doctor. Crazy. Econonically, there seems to have been no plan at all from the government as we exited the pandemic. At least the US had a plan, to 'build back better'. Our government just floats along as if everything is fine, when the decline is very visible especially to older Canadians. We have admitted 1/2 a million people a year from overseas, so our economy should reflect this and show an upswing. But no, we're in a 'technical recession' as of December and probably a real recession as of last week. I have never voted Conservative in my life, but Trudeau is a flaky dimwit with a famous name who has no clue what he is doing. A fool, in fact. He's mismanaged our foreign relations beyond belief, and nothing has improved domestically. When Pierre Poilievre says 'Canada is broken', I believe it. I was born in a muslim country, but no longer practice Islam. Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. A better question would whether or not he thinks Hamas governs the Gaza Strip in the best interest of the Palestinian people. And if so, which policies does he believe should be adopted by Saudi Arabia. And if he doesn’t support Hamas, then what can such a rich and plentiful country like Saudi Arabia do to help the Palestinians, with regard to an alternate government. No one is interested in conquering the lands of the WB or GS. The question is what to do to improve the quality of life in those areas, and replacing Hamas with a government that cares about its people would be an easy starting point.

Canada is not one place - 2 nd biggest country in the world in area, with 13 totally different province's, one area code in the GTA has more population then Western Canada, so one cant paint a single brush stroke to talk about Canada. Singapore is the top country I want to move to from Canada, but you did it in reverse. \n\nThe wokeness, crime rates, homelessness, hate crimes, taxes and just the inflated prices of everything are the main reasons to get out of Canada. Ok....I've lived in Singapore for the last 33 years, graduated from the University of Alberta with an Electrical Engineering degree. Worked 1 year in the arctic in 1989 then was offered a job in Singapore in 1990 and never looked back. There are MASSIVE engineering opportunities in Asia, its nothing like Canada. \nIf you have to deal with the Canadian government from outside the country your quickly realize that Canada is run by....children. The Arab countries refused them entry many times in the past as well, including when Israel took hold of the area legally. If the Palestinians stay, they have to learn how to be okay living in a Jewish state, and they have so far proven they cannot figure out how to do that. They certainly should leave if that is the case to make their lives easier, but answers like this just keep pushing the problem back on the Jews. Then you have to be okay with the only options the Jews are left with to ensure their own people are safe.

if one wants to be in an islamic religious country and hear bells ringing for call to prayer daily, yes its not going to match your lifestyle living in western countries of course. however there is no excuse for people to be scared to practice their religion freely. what is happening in Gaza i wish it wasn't happening at all no matter what political spectrum or thought one follows, i don't believe there should ever be wars and i wish the fighting on the ground would stop, wishful thinking and idealistic thinking i know.
