An uninformed American making it sound like all of Canada is as cold as the territories. What else is new? Even the territories have a warm summer, so how can the PROVINCES be as cold as you describe in the introduction? The rest of your video says that only the territories, Saskatchewan in winter, and the city of Winnipeg in winter, are insanely cold. Maybe change your absurd introduction? Cold winters are not exclusive to Canada, and you need to stop propagating that myth. In fact, the coldest I've ever been in my life was in either New York or Minneapolis! Do you begin every video about a country in the northern hemisphere with a picture of a guy with his face frozen and proclaim how insanely cold that country is?

Actually that true .I’m citizen of British Columbia. I try to sponsor 2018 sponsors my sister an she’s husband. But according to canada immigration rule can’t sponsor my sibling.however that immigration is not satisfied. It processing is according government prime minister. Have a Nasty immigration system. Not freedom family member. But im find other countries as a USA, Australia , new zeland economic growth than canada. It can sponsor sibling. The french are so bent on having their own little country they treated anglos like dirt. Try driving east towards New Brunswick and stopping anywhere to get food or whatever, you better parlez the francais or you'll be looked at like you a criminal. Honestly, I don’t know how to describe and definite my experience. I came to Canada for my university education by the end of 2013 after I finished my high school in my hometown. That was my first time to go abroad, and living in a totally strange country all alone. New surroundings. New friends. New culture. English speaking. Everything is new for me, and I cannot figure out how I feel at that time, because it’s so complex. Both excited and afraid. In the next few years, I traveled among several different cities. Winnipeg. Vancouver. Toronto. I met many people and experienced lots of things. Some were good and warm, and some were not, and the worst thing was I found I cannot get used to my life in Canada. I don’t mean bad, but I still feel I’m an outsider. I cannot get in. Neither my life nor my schoolwork. So much loneliness. I left Canada and go back to my hometown by the August of 2017. There was nothing strange for me at first 2 years. Everything looks normal, but by the flying of time, I found myself cannot stop missing the old days and experience in Canada. Even the worst part looks so beautiful. I have no idea how could that happened.

I have friends that live in Ontario. A great place if you are Type A and super outgoing. A great self promoter brimming with confidence. Otherwise you may be happier in the Maritimes or Western Provinces. Ontario is not terribly happy with those people who do not measure up to the Ontario brand of success. It can be a miserable place for new Canadians who may eventually realize that they can happily live in other parts of Canada.

Facts are in 2021 Canada welcomed over 400 thousand new permanent residents. We printed over 400 billion dollars in the last two years. The average time for a permit to build a new house is over 6 months. What I don’t understand is that we welcomed all the new immigrants while in a housing crisis if a hotel is full do they still keep renting rooms? We printed 400 billion dollars to pay for Covid where if we would have just used masks and washed our hands we could have saved 400 billion dollars. With Canada having one of the world’s lowest population to land mass and tons of natural resources I can’t understand how we can’t cut costs shorten wait times on permits.

To make a story short, there is nothing special in Western countries. The quality of life in Canada has changed for the worst. The country claims Canada needs more immigrants but all the companies have been working on implementing new technologies to replace workers or transfer jobs to cheaper markets. Exception IT jobs.. Some companies suggest we should prepare ourselves to share our job with another worker, this would mean less working days and less pay..

It's because everything is so spread out from each other in Canada and the USA. This is the same for countries such as Australia, New Zealand, etc, and only some places in Europe. When people live so far spread out from each other, there's no social interactions. So, people much more lonelier and more angry too.

I lived in Canada for 15 years and this rang true more & more as the years went on, I would never order food online as I needed an excuse to leave the house. At 49 I found myself pondering what to do with my life, I went on vacation to Thailand and the first thing that struck me was the openness and friendliness of the place. People sit in the front of their house with the doors open and everybody is welcome to say hi, of course there are exceptions. I now live in Thailand with my new wife in a small village, our doors are never locked, family comes, neighbours come, kids play, everybody is welcome anytime. Such a better way to live. Let me tell you something from my own experience, and at 82 y.o. a have plenty of it. If someone chooses a country into which to emigrate, he or she makes a choice to accept the conditions and adjusts to them. Canada is not a place to baby disgruntled outsiders, but gives them a chance to become Canadian. If you expect anything different, you don't deserve that chance. \nI was born in Vienna, Austria, emigrated with my girl friend to New Zealand, got married there and created two new little Kiwis, and after 5 years we packed up our family and relocated to California, where we brought up our son and daughter as Americans. We'll never forget our Austrian heritage, and are forever thankful to the friendly Kiwis for the start in life they gave us. But, once we decided to move to the US, we accepted the life style of our new neighbors and tried to fit into their society as well as we could. When we reached retirement age, we bought a modest home in Oregon, where we still live now and proudly fly the US flag on appropriate occasions. For the privilege of choosing your country, you better show your gratitude and your worth.

It takes me 3 months to get a doctor appointment in the US here in Seattle and I was just told several months to see my eye doctor. Depending on medical plan the insurance means you do not go to the specialist without a referral. So Canadians may not have as much to complain about. My parents were immigrants to Canada because it was easier (my father was in Danish Merchant Marine and was in China Sea when his appointment would come up in New York). They did not have it easy because they did not speak the language and worked hard to learn. Working as a housekeeper was the norm for females and my mother's education meant nothing when she expected to work in a bank. Danes stuck together and helped each other to get jobs, with carpentry (most had apprenticeships like brick laying), to socialize, etc. and this is normal for immigrants. Working multiple jobs was normal and having a great home was their American dream instead of a government apartment. It is true for all immigrants that their kids will do better than the parents. The kids will have no accent if they learn English by age 12. There are age cutoffs on learning a language in child development. During the hiring process the jobs are given to people the interviewer perceives as being like themselves. This is proven by psychologists (I am one). This puts immigrants at a disadvantage unless they have a rare skill without competition. Dad got his house and Mom took my sister and went back to Denmark because of health issues and the US has garbage medical care and social services for the elderly (poor sister didn't speak Danish because it wasn't allowed in case it impacted our English skill). As a daughter of immigrants I worked 20 hours days and weekends almost all my life. I put myself through school and have been successful despite being female and making much less than men. Immigrants need to realize that it will be their kids who make the big bucks and succeed while the parents who immigrated will struggle. As a cultural mix (US, Canadian and Danish citizen because of wacky sexist rules) I have had a lot of confusion over the years trying to fit in and figure out what my values are. I have had to ask my US husband is that behavior normal? Of course different states in the US or going 200 miles north to Canada means a different language to speak (Canadian or Spanish in the South) and different values, ways of dress, etc. so being an immigrant can mean just traveling 200 miles north or to an insane state like Texas or New York. Culture shock is everywhere but most of us move for the money. I am thinking of going back to Canada but my home was Vancouver and that now looks like a hell hole. My husband had over a million dollars in medical care and I really do not wish to lose all my assets to medical costs in the US. So now I am trying to choose between death by earthquake in BC somewhere or death by tornado or perhaps fire storm in Calgary due to climate change.

(Did I mention the fact Canada is officially a bilingual country, but New Brunswick is the only official bilingual province?) This discrepancy in language preferences of candidates can be elaborated by the TR2PR pathway that was announced in April 2021. (Did I say math? Oops, a little politics won't hurt anyone) Getting back on maths, on this date there are 196,685 profiles in the CRS pool, which equates to around CAD 590,065,500 in ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING FEE alone. 2 years later it's gonna be another, and another, and another........you get the idea right?\n\nCanada welcomes you to spend some money, but there's no guarantees.

Canada is very immigrant friendly in terms of accepting immigrant to come yes but why ? well because immigration is a big business for this country who has not much technology export and in the same time is second biggest country in the world with population less then California alone . To me, the problem is threefold. a) Toronto and Ontario in general - and perhaps the whole of Canada - are accepting way more immigrants than they have quality jobs for. If you need taxi drivers and plumbers, maybe this experience should be valued way higher than education as part of the existing immigration programs (which is not the case). At least then potential immigrants know this before they come and get stuck in low-paying or relatively OK-paying but repetitive and demoralizing jobs with debts and mortgages that become a trap preventing them from leaving. It's also partially on immigrants themselves who come to Toronto to only find out there's 100 people competing for one spot and that you need to be exceptional - or connected through your ethnic network - to work regular white-collar jobs. b) The official bipartisan policy of non-integration. The naive expectation that having people live in ethnic enclaves will somehow make the overall culture richer is not what happens: instead, people tend to stick to their own communities and the common culture thus gets eroded and limited to economic and financial matters. This makes some cities feel like one large business with everyone networking 24/7 instead of socializing normally. And arguably, having the right culture / social life is what motivates already successful people move in the first place. So when they come and they find out there's nothing but money talk and hustling, they leave (if they're smart). Quebec is doing better in that regard, but then Quebec is not really Canada and it's been pressured to cave in to the same money-centred, uncultured and disconnected society by the feds for decades now. The States is smarter in that it actually makes sure to integrate its immigrants (and let's be honest, many immigrants like being part of a new culture if it fits them) c) Treating real estate as an investment and not as a basic necessity (as Japan or some Nordic countries do, for example). That coupled with a lot of Asian money being laundered in Canada through immigration channels and private equity firms buying whole apartment blocks for rental purposes has led to the highest housing price increase in all of the developed world in the past 20 years or so. The median price of a condo in Toronto is higher than in New York despite the massive gap in salaries and the fact that New York is one of the most expensive cities in the world to begin with. Some draconian measures are needed here to prevent foreign - or even out-of-province ownership -, second property ownership and corporate ownership for renting purposes.

In Canada from last 15 years and living a decent life as a single. I have no plans to start family or to own real estate. Canada is much better than the overpopulated places I have been to before. Canada in my opinion is hybrid between developed and developing countries. It has dysfunctional health system, Government doesn't do things that would directly benefit citizens, money laundering from other countries has made real estate unaffordable for ordinary citizens, no incentive to develop new cities so 2/3 rd of the population lives in 7-8 major cities, higher inflation rates, harsh Winter.

I am preparing to run away from Canada mainly because of hidden crime rate that is disastrously high (government targeting of innocent citizens), theft, racism and discrimination. Also Canadian companies do not like forigners to take their jobs and keep everything secret at work place. So new comers will be doing very low-brain kind of job. I was able to jump to very high levels in my profession and was training engineers and managers on electronic industry - even though they still dont want me to learn everything. So going back main homeland I can be more expert than them all. To me, Canada realy sucks.

My problem is that I am over qualified when it comes to finding a job - I have both American and Canadian experience. Canada is getting out of control and life here is becomming a punishment for new commers so they turn against one another and people are no longer friendly, unless they need favor from you - then they trash you.
