This is what Dominican Republic has to deal with every day with Haiti , but alot of people in media want to call us racist and protecting our borders too. Every country should be able to protect their people and nation. Currently we have a population of 10million around 4.5 million are legal and illegal hatians from what is on record, that's not even counting those who are not on record. This hits close to home. I'm just about finished my engineering degree in Canada, where I was born and raised and my family has lived for 400 years. Outside of Alberta and Sask, nothing is affordable. And Sask is to barren to live in. I will almost certainly look South for work as this country continues to make itself completely unaffordable. As much as I hate to see it, I don't think i see Canada surviving in its current configuration for any longer than half a century.

Canada along with New Zealand have to be the best countries at marketing themselves as a utopia paradise that is oh so welcoming to immigrants while hiding all of their problems under the rug away from the World to see.

At least our banks in Australia don’t go broke like in US . Since the Covid lock downs a lot of people are homeless all around the world . I live in Sydney and I could not care less if we are isolated . We still can visit New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South East Asia . I rather live in Australia than overseas because my relatives in the UK , and Cyprus didn’t care to spend time with me when I visited there . Their attitudes are not laid back . Anyway there are international students who find work here in Australia . We have heaps of lovely places in Australia to visit . There are amazing places in Western Australia and the rest of Australia to see . I agree Canada is amazing as I have been there but it doesn’t mean Australia is a dump like you are saying . I am sorry that you had a bad experience here but it doesn’t mean Australia is a horrible country to live in . There is beauty in our deserts thank you .

Canada doesn’t have an economy anymore: it only relies on an outdated 1970s immigration system to keep boosting its population growth by around 1% a year! The immigrants are required to bring in roughly $10k per person which quickly evaporates within the ‘economy’ as most new comers struggle to,find decent jobs in the first 1-2 years of their arrival. So the ponzi scheme continues. Why do new arrivals put up with this? Well especially after Covid, vast majority of new arrivals are from countries where the economic situation is desperate. If you see new immigrants they are dominated (immigrants plus student visas) by one country - a large democratIC country on a large continent - most are effectively desperate economic refugees but the sleepy govt’s in Canada don’t care: let social devices get stretched, no cannot find a decent family doctor in any urban area, rents keep,sky rocketing, yet just let immigrants esp from one former ‘jewel in the crown’ come in unchecked!

Id love to see how these men react if we went to the middle east if we harrassed and persecuted their people for things we disagree with in OUR country? As an immigrant to Canada who's built a successful business here, I do feel the urge to defend Canada when I see these sorts of videos.\n\nThings are hard right now - inflation is really crippling and I don't know how the housing prices are still holding up despite rising interest rates. I also agree the red tape is absolutely bonkers.\n\nThe country needs to develop more of a pro-business mentality. Everywhere I look, people are complaining about not having a good job but no one wants to put up their hand to start a business to create those jobs.\n\nBut, man, is it beautiful living in the Rocky Mountains. What we are seeing global inflation. I saw it in the news that most countries are all competing for parts, products, food etc. Even nations that managed their rates better are seeing major issues. The glut of money was an issue sure, but the surging demand from nation that re-opened from covid lockdowns played a larger role. Add to this pandemic-related staffing issues, Russia-Ukraine Conflict and the intentional global oil supply problems and its a nightmare.

If BW could see just how Americanized we are we wouldn't keep traveling to these countries and ending up getting murdered there. Thank the Democrats for letting this happen. We cannot support the people we have now so how are these people going to get the help they need? it's funny I moved to Canada a little over a year ago and I want to move back to Australia for some of the reasons you want to leave Australia and more. Housing affordability here is a pipe dream unless you like living near mountains and want a laid back life like the life in Perth, in Calgary. But Calgary's job market is not great and that pretty much extends to every province except Ontario and BC. Living cost in Canada is very high... compared to what I experienced in AU, this is more expensive than living in Sydney. (I live in Toronto but this extends to Vancouver as well.) The healthcare system is weak, inefficient and inconvenient. Bureaucracy is again very slow, inconvenient and in some cases so backwards. Banking is not great, super inconvenient, not people-centric, inefficient and very much backward imo.. work-life balance or quality of life is way better in AU. Infrastructure development is slow and not great at all for a world-class country and personally, I expected better from Toronto.. (I do understand why it is the way it is right now, some justified reasons but some not so much) Things I do give props to CA... Diversity and inclusiveness is not just marketing slogan like in AU.. I don't feel like an outsider here... Its incredible. Job market is here much better than in AU. If you're moving from a country like AU, you will feel how capitalism here is made to make more money out of you every step of the way. But also, you will see how you can use that system to make alot of money. I think Canada is a great place to live if you're an entrepreneur or business person and making money is a primary requirement. But if you're someone who loves quality of life and work-life balance and want to probably own a good house, right now CA is not there. Also this doesn't mean CA isn't great, its fantastic... but compared to AU, canada comes short in many fronts. Also I love the weather here even if we have a pretty long winter.

After watching this video if you think that what is going on in Canada is not crazy, then take note of the fact that Trudeau government is also making it even harder for gas and oil companies, mineral extraction and even farmers to basically do their job. While Norway, Arab countries and even US are ramping oil and gas production, in Canada Trudeau is concerned more about increasing carbon tax and the rainbow flags. Honestly I'm very disappointed in this country, it's becoming worse and worse here. Prices are through the roof, housing is insanely expensive, even car prices are higher than in USA. Many people have to maintain 2 or even 3 jobs just to survive. And if you are a recent graduate or an immigrant professional, good luck finding a good job. You probably will end up in a minimum wage job that barely allows you to rent a room in someone's basement, pay for your most expensive in the world cell phone plan, expensive cars.... and wait 6 months to go see a medical specialist. If you're thinking of immigrating to Canada, better consider Europe, USA or developed countries in Asia. I was lucky because I bought property back in 2016. Now it appreciated so much that I'll probably sell and move to a different country. Hard times are ahead for Canadians, Canada is gonna become Cuba #2 very soon
