So that’s a massive big NO from the Arabs. No other Muslim country wants to help them. \nI wonder why.?

Reasons people are leaving Canada. \n1. Govt promoting on your face LBGTQ+ sh*t agenda. \n2. Sun-less cold winter + related depression.\n3. Cost of home ownership + living. \n4. No jobs for foreign-qualified people in their field.\n5. Supporting wars overseas with our tax money.\n6. High tax + broken health care system.\n7. Pot + Drug + Sexual abuse.\n8. Unsafe big cities.\n9. Business unfriendly policy.\n10. \n\nI am keeping point 10 for you all to add here.

They are ripping you off big time. All you are paying for is a bit of glass and concrete. They could have done it in less time 100 years ago. The Empire State building was completed in 18 months.

The same could be said for just about every major liberal big city across America.

#7 - I disagree that this a Canadian only problem, it is NOT. You’ll have the same problem moving south of the border. This is the result of the digital age. People don’t go out and mingle as much as before. Specially in big cities. That is the price to pay when you move to another big city. It will take time BUT this is NOT a Canada only problem.

Uk has annual tv tax so that link tax must be from uk influence from days gone by. Canada is so big, they should build affordable housing and have tiered tax rate.

It great to see you move out! Given how big supporters you are for palestine, would be hypocritical to see you stay on occupied country with citizenship given by occupiers. Native americans never had a chance to say if they want to keep all those immigrants who move there by force. If you move country goverment by it’s people, you will be able to become member of that community by choice of the community.

Toronto and Canada are beautiful and always will be…People are smart, resourceful and hardworking….Every big city has problems, that you can’t ignore,we must push ahead and teach, learn and educate..Because doing nothing will certainly hurt the city….On the other end if you can’t find work in Toronto try Orlando, you have a Disney face (wholesome and pretty with personality)and would be a great ambassador for the company..good luck

What a big loss to Canada ?
|
| 2024-01-11 | 1 |
I think these problems have come to plague almost all big cities in the developed countries in the last decade. Canada, like Australia, the UK,, USA, NZ, Netherlands etc is still cursed with the millstone of the failed political ideologies of the last forty or so years. These mitigate against the solutions: the end of mass immigration and a huge home building program. Expensive housing is the root of the problem.

It is like this everywhere, moved here from Bay Area and heard things have turned bad over there too.\nI understand micro and macro economics, so whoever is reading this try following it. Stop using social media especially Instagram because you are being turned to a consumerist i.e., you always have an urge to purchase a commodity be it a product or lifestyle.\nInstead slow down and enjoy company of your loved ones at home, detox yourself from shopping, visiting snobby places, refrain from upgrading phones every year,..\nThis might cause recession but it's good for all in the long run as right now rich have become RICHER because of fed printing money.\nTry being less greedy, try spending less money at Amazon or other big companies and rather encourage local stores, restaurants...

I used to live in toronto and i actually liked it there, people are ok not as friendly but ok, the lifestyle was good with so many different things available to do, u never get bored there, good nightlife, good sceneries, good malls, good parties, hot looking girls everywhere, the food is amazing with so many options to choose from all around the world, all good...... but the big problem was that life was so damn expensive, i had 2 jobs and was barely making enough money to survive, that's why i left.

Went to Canada 5 years ago. It was the first time I saw real poverty. Canada is not a great country. They just pretend they are. It helps when their big brother USA is even worse.

It was nice watching your video. You asked for a suggestion. In your case, I think the best place for you to settle down would be Turkey. \nThe main problem you will face there would be the language. I think that is a big problem initially, but it is easy to learn a language, before going to that country. Once you are there, it will be easy for you to pick it up, because you will be forced to use it every day. The rest of the points you raised will be resolved. The weather there is not as cold as it is in Canada. Most of the population are Muslims, so you will find the required atmosphere to practice your belief freely and safely without worries or fear. When it comes to people, they are friendly and nice in general. Remember wherever you go in the world you will find good and bad people. This is life. \nThe 2nd choice would be US. They have various of mixed nations. Language will not be an obstical. But, there are many Muslims there. Some of the states have very big Muslim communities. So I think it will be easy for you to find a suitable state and city to settle down there. \nWish you all the best for your coming days. May Allah open up the way for a very bright future. In Shaa Allah.

I left Toronto in 2017 (born and raised there, lived in Toronto for 35 years about). I moved to London Ontario, the cost of housing here is basically half of what I was paying in Toronto. I even took a $10k per year paycut for a new job and I still live better in London Ontario than I did in Toronto because in Toronto nearly my whole salary went towards living in squalor.. whereas for half of what I paid in Toronto got me a comfortable home in London. Unless you are wealthy, living in Toronto is lunacy.. you can live much more comfortably by just leaving the big cities like Toronto and Vancouver, even if it means taking a lower paying job.

Canada’s been dodging a proper RE reset for decades and The Bubble got ridiculously big. Moreover, I’m damn sure our socialists will try to save every poor soul drowning in debt. \nThat means working GenZ&Y, that can’t find affordable roof over their heads, will have to pay for Millennials and boomers, that may loose their riches. That’s a “nice” setup. \nAnyways, old and wise multi-billionaire Ray Dalio described it all in his Principles. Wars are a’coming.

Toronto has become a big injection center for drug addicts, that's one of the reasons I left Canada. It was so depressing to see that everyday downtown Toronto or pretending not to see them but the fact is, it was way too depressing and I didn't want to see them anymore. Also, places such as Moss Park have become a shooting place at night for no reason so taking a walk in the park' without taking big risk wasn't an option anymore. Not to mention the cost of living for such a bad quality of life, barely being able to afford buying some basic products such as milk or vegetables. Canada has become so bad. So glad I left and I don't regret it for one minute. There are so many better and friendlier countries out there.

The only point about its a non muslims country… well duh? You guys should’ve know this before moving in? Are we going to dubai complaining its not a Christian country!? What attack on muslims? I need at least 10 links for a news articles talking about this…. But for the rest NO our gov is not pro genocide anywhere, they just have no weight in the war balance, also a big thing people need to consider before moving here is the fact that we are Usa allies. Its a non written rules to follow what they do since forever. I don’t understand people like you honestly, but hey if you feel like you dont belong it’s probably the case then, we tried to welcome people as much as we can but the opposite integration move has to come from the newcomer too. By all mean i hope a lot of people who dont want to blend in in a welcoming country as we are, are thinking like you. we opened our doors, you hated it here. Then wishing you a muslim life somewhere else.

Such a good video. Canada used to be so affordable, and such an amazing place to live, it's sad that this is all changing... : (\n\nI do have to point out, though, that the tax rate in Canada is the same as in most of Western Europe (30 to 60%) and the ratio between salary and cost of living is similar. It's pretty normal, in France, Italy and Spain to spend half of your salary on your rent/mortgage, some people even spend more than that. (The average salary in France is about 2,000€ or sometimes even less and the average rent for a 1 bedroom in big cities is about 1000€. In Spain, the aberage salary is about 1,000€ but rents are 600€ per month or more...).

On the day of judgement Allah will ask was my earth not big enough to migrate and protect yourself from oppression if you were not strong enough to fight back. What will Palestinians and Arabs will reply? God we died for you or we died for the land.?. If the strong Muslims not defending weak muslims than weak should migrate and not fight in a way that becomes suicide and leave it to Allah to punish the oppressor. Cause this was the test for stong and wealthy Arabs not weak Palestinions. And Arab world failed miserably.

The big problem is the mass influx of immigrants. Some immigration is fine but now 1/3 Canadians are now first generation. This is a massive shift from only a few years ago.

Get rid of liberal big government, they are the source of high taxes and toxic home prices. Canada has no right importing foreign high tech workers when there are plentiful local talent. The government should be taxing companies importing workers. But they are the culprit, they hire foreign workers at higher than local wages. It is all in the hidden fees.

Big decision, but so is the world. Have you considered what you would do for a living? I'm sorry I don't know much about your family. \nIf you can work from anywhere in the world, then you have a few choices. Someone suggested Malaysia. I think that is very good option. Its technically advanced, people are kind and warm, living expenses are very reasonable. I have only visited once, but I loved it. Felt completely comfortable (I don't wear the hijab). This was my experience from over 25years ago. \nIf you want to consider an Arab country, I would highly recommend checking out Oman, that is where I am from. I lived in the US for over 25 years, and now I love living in Oman. Its very calm, people are kind and welcoming. Winters are great here, but summers are very hot. Most foreigners who come here, never want to leave. The sense of serenity here is addictive. \nGood luck in your search.

honorable mention that I wonder how some humans remain alive in the wintertime as homeless because the cold not only search on a house but also for a long period of winter cycle heating cost and heating maintenance that is a whole industry on its own.... beautiful country!!! \nbut in continuously rising cost for natural gas and fossil energy that is a serious big amount extracted from hard-earned salary

I live in Greece and personally it's fine, but IF I ever moved abroad, I would choose a beautiful little American town, like sometimes you see in the movies. With some nice nature all around it. And have a simple life there, try to marry some girl and have a nice family and barbeque with the neighbors, go fishing, etc. Why would anyone move to the big cities, I mean that is not so smart. I suppsoe small towns also need plumbers, electricians, barbers, bus drivers, whatever.

You explained this so well!! My partner and I moved to Canada 3 years ago just as we got approved for H1B. We had to chose between moving to CA or staying there in an uncertain limbo for 2 decades waiting for a greencard. You did a good job talking about the downsides of moving such as a lower salary and higher home prices. We bought a small townhouse for the price we could have paid in the US for a detached house. Many people I know in similar situations leave CA and move back to the US once they get their Canadian citizenship. However, I do think that there are many reasons to stay such as the political climate. The US has become very regressive banning abortions, making gun laws more lenient and it’s not as accepting when it comes to diversity and inclusion (be it POC community or Lgbtqia+) unless you live in a big city which is expensive. These are the reasons we chose to stay, especially if we have kids as school shootings are getting more and more common there.

This is so sad that you are leaving. I agree that things are going down hill. I am a Christian and I think that if families like yours and families like mine lived in communities together, it would make a big difference because we share many of the same values.

Turkey might be a good choice. Close to Europe, in fact some or many consider it as part of Europe, they wanted to part of EU. Also a muslim country, so, you would be very much at home there. And very beautiful and still cheap, it does not compare to Canada price-wise . :)\nAlso, Turkey is the big supporter of Palestine. :))) If I could speak the language or have a change to work for an automotive company in English, I'd probably just move there and be able to visit mom, extended family and friends in Europe a lot more often.
