I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

I have two words for you that explain much of the dissatisfaction....Justin Trudeau. Too many illegal immigrants with few job skills, little education and no English language skills have put a huge strain on Canada's healthcare system and on Canada's far too generous social welfare services. We have an idiotic Prime Minister who prioritizes virtue signalling over implementing economically sound policies. But here's a news flash. If you think Canada is an expensive place to live, why don't you go to Japan, Scandinavia or western Europe? They're welcome to you. If you, however, want to work hard and contribute to society and don't expect free government handouts, you are still welcome here. We don't need or want any more freeloading ingrates here.

Ultimately, I received nearly everything I needed to survive and potentially thrive through the pandemic (to be confirmed in 2024).\n\nTaxes are high, but I feel safe in Quebec City. Crime rates are low, and I've experienced little racism, possibly due to my fluency in French. Starting a business here has been easy, with minimal costs and bureaucracy.\n\nAs a gay man, I've never felt endangered. I can comfortably express affection for my spouse in public without feeling judged.\n\nHealthcare, including access to medication and doctor consultations, is extremely affordable. Super Clinics offer next-day appointments at no cost.\n\nI own a commercial condo for my business, which cost significantly less than it would have in Toronto or Vancouver. My rent for a one-bedroom apartment is CAD 755, and electricity bills are remarkably low.\n\nWith the shift to online business, I've accessed international markets while benefiting from a low-cost, safe environment.
