Extremely biased presentation on racism. Great way to teach people on how to hate themselves and to believe in false narratives from self-entitled privileged people in influential positions. But then again this is the CBC!

Try having 3 white guys wearing differently and see if people will treat them differently... We are just normal human beings.. not Saints.. so racism, biases etc will always be there.. and the more we over react or being over sensitive, the more these issues will become obvious..

All of you white people that stand by and do nothing against racism...you are part of the problem.
2020-02-24 0
its not racism, its wealth imbalance ,one day score will settle and it will all good .
2020-02-24 0
So where are the people of color taking a test or do we ignore the racism

When you have headscarf and follow and stares at you thinking you’re stealing? \nThis is my story, or trying to apply for these bigger company for a job and noticed your Muslim name and they make excuses for to just get finish with you? \nIt’s 21 century people, and still racism there?

These bastards do this type of reporting all the time. They know that they stole the land that they live in so they prove that they live better than everyone else just to throw it in your face. They've been here for over 200 years everyone knows about the racism and Reporting it does nothing but make white people feel better about where they live, and guess what? NOTHING CHANGES.

Racism is everywhere a lily white dude I knew was the biggest thief ever. He'd walk out of stores with whole grocery carts full of stuff, Right out the door. I never would give him a ride or anything. I knew what he would do, I didn't want no parts of it. Not looking to get locked up at all. It would baffle me that he could just walk out of any store and never get watched or stopped at all. But if he was black he would have been follow from entry to exit. SMH

I find it funny how certain minorities experience racism from white people, but they still feel closer to whites than blacks.
2020-02-20 0
Racism happens to everyone... even white people but no one cares about their experiences.
2020-02-20 0
Then why don’t you have a guy wearing a mask over his face people might not be favorable to masks it doesn’t mean it’s racism at the mask everyone for the test again no control to your experiment you’re dumb just like I may get treated differently if I have a biker outfit on then a suit and a tie it doesn’t mean it’s racism or clean-shavenVersus a beard
2020-02-20 0
Totally in accurate Raury walked in carrying a bag they always watch people carrying bags or backpacks and you’re calling it racism LOL no control to your experiment you’re dumb
2020-02-20 0
You keep racism alive and thriving.
2020-02-20 0
There's racism problem in Nova Scotia, is that true? \nI've just googled it.

Thanks so much for addressing this topic. I'm from Central America hold dual citizenship speak Spanish and English and French fluently the amount of racism I've experienced as a Librarian in the USA is so unreal a so called progressive professional field yet I am faced with their nonsense thanks for helping me understand their behavior and to correctly label their actions.

Racism exists with other races as well that hire their own. White is not the dominant culture or ethnicity in some large cities in Canada and those people are hiring their own and not blacks. Every race discriminates against blacks as sad as it may sound. It’s not just blacks. Some bank branches , offices and stores have all south Asian people working there

I’m white (European French), ow Canadian but grew up in Oakland, Calif, had a black boyfriend in High School and now have a black daughter in law so I’m comfortable and familiar with many racial issues. When Kathleen mentioned she felt uncomfortable with a white man touching her hair and saying it was beautiful, I thought that was taking her perceived racism over the top. If she had been white with the same hair only blonde it would have been equally uncomfortable. I completely agree that racism is rampant and terrible, I see it frequently but it’s important to not make Everything about racism.... that can become a problem in itself

Racism in Canada exists, it is just more subtle
2020-02-19 0
I applaud Cityline for bringing this topic up in Canada!! In the US, we see overt racism every day. Oftentimes, it’s the micro aggressions happening to the people I love that breaks my heart. I’ve seen young people, full of hope, feeling that their lives matter, over time, be shattered by a constant beating of racism.
2020-02-19 17
Really interesting video, and I really liked the black Canadian perspective. I’m a black American and we don’t really hear about black Canadians and their similar struggle (possibly worse since I’m just assuming there are fewer black people there and Canada is not “known” for its racism like the US is so people may not think it’s an issue)

Racism is just another form of insecurity and self-loathing. You can’t be mean to others if you’re happy with yourself. It’s impossible.
2020-02-19 0
This was interesting. I don't believe you will ever change people's minds and they have the right to think anything they want. On the flip side I have been the brunt of black racism and know many other people who have been, too. So racism is on all ethnicities.

Racism is Everywhere and only people who have Never Experienced it, will Deny it...

Its call subtle racism in Canada. Why are there not more Chinese or Indian police officers? Government jobs are not representative of the society
2020-02-18 0
I visited Canada as a truck driver, and you can see racism in all levels... it's so sad,.... we all are a human beings.....I LOVE YOU ALL.....❤️

That computer test was actually disproven to admit racism
2020-02-18 0
thus entire show is keeping racism going
2020-02-18 0
Why no asian guy? Asians get equally as much as the other two there. Also, racism is everywhere, only gotten worse and continues to get worse, especially since 2016.
2020-02-17 0
i see more racism in the tester than the testees

Racism is completely natural. Nothing wrong with it at all. In fact, it's beneficial to civilization. It's not coincidence that civilization has been in decline since racism was turned into something taboo.

Originally from the Philippines here and once a homeless man told me to go back where I came from. I'm actually surprised he said that, I’m just a passerby.\n\nIt hurts a bit but then I moved on. I think racism is everywhere. People just don’t have the time and mental energy to understand and know each other, I guess.\n\nThat is why I’m telling my son to have a good solid ground of resilience (aka not be to be a snowflake). Life is too short to wallow on this. We came to Canada as immigrants, do not except everyone to treat you like a first class citizen. But the way you act, the way you do, and how you treat people around you may earn you respect regardless of your color, race or creed.

Racism is bad but I think its human nature..we are programmed like that...I think if it was opposite way like asia was rich and west was poor..then situation may be way worse than it is now...\nThings are getting better...
2020-02-15 0
There’s no racism nowadays. It’s an figment of everyone’s imagination. If you look at critically, like I have, you will soon see that if anyone is being taken advantage of it’s white males. Guess what? White males are kicking our asses.
2020-02-14 0
Well, I mean this isn’t racism. It’s just reality, cause statistically black people stole from my shop more than any other race and I’m black.
2020-02-13 0
lets fight perceived racism with more racism and draw conclusions based on comparisons with no possible way of knowing if race played any factor in the minor differences in experiences

Quit watching it not even minute and you can already see him race-baiting. The lady told the white man that the price was not set but it would be roughly around 900. The other guy came and and she gave a set price of 930 and tried to insinuate that it was cuz our racism. She said it was around nine hundred for the white guy didn't put a set price. Secondly white people get followed around in stores just as much as blacks. does it matter what color you are hang out in Walmart too long and see how many people start following lol.

Racism could just go away if we stopped talking about it, both parties included.

Racism is a mental illness that white people suffer from\n\nAlbert Einstein

I am white European and I experienced racism at hospital where I work and also I was discriminated because I was speaking English in Montreal instead of French...Say No to Racism !!! We are all equal

And what about non Muslims facing racism in Islamic countries.
2020-02-05 0
Try being a white Male and live on the South East side of Atlanta. It's open season on white people. This show is intentionally biased and promoted racism.
2020-02-05 0
I am a fully grown white man and I called white boy on a weekly basis. So I agree racism is wrong.

Racism dont make sense. Dont judge on race or skin color; judge on culture and religion and how human- and womens-rights are handled by those two institutions in the society and countries the people who seem foreign to you are from. Then find out if these people wants to bring those elements of their culture with them to their new country. Then make your judgement. And do remember to hate all religions equally ;)

TO ALL THE PARENTS KINDLY LOVE YOUR KIDS, BE A GOOD EXAMPLE & TEACH THEM WELL. BECAUSE THEY'LL LOOK UNEDUCATED IF THEY BEHAVE LIKE THAT.. IT'S 2020. I'M NOT BLACK ETC. BUT THIS RACISM ISSUE IS SOOO OLD & IT'S SIMPLY REFLECTS HOW UNEDUCATED A COUNTRY IS.. DO YOU HAVE SCHOOLS FROM YOUR COUNTRY?
