Lol, the funniest part about most shoplifters is that they are usually white and the only reason they don't get caught is because no one is watching them or cares if they steal. Even when a worker sees them stealing, they let them get away with it. Smdh. I've seen it many times. One specific time some white guy walked so casually into the beverage aisle at Walmart, put 4 packages of 4 pk Redbull in his backpack, and walked away like nothing happened. Another time, this white guy went to the bulk candy section, loaded up his bag, security SAW HIM and stared at him leaving the store AND DID NOTHING! This white guy I used to work with ALWAYS STOLE HIS LUNCHES and jokingly admitted that he stole cause NO ONE WATCHES HIM OR CARES IF HE DOES! I SEE IT ALL THE TIME! So you little white people watching everyone else, I hope you all lose billions since you love to watch other people and not your own, LMAO!

Having worked for Best buy in my experience my bosses made us be that annoying and ask and talk to each customer more than once depending on time in the store if u didn't they cut ur hours the following week and I hated it personally when someone says no need no help I feel like awesome I can go bk to waiting for this shift to end cause I hate my job!

I'll lay it out for you: Me: typical middle of the road liberal oriented Canadian. Non white, immigrant (I wasnt born here) I worked in a Refugee housing for over 4 years in Ontario. Most were not war areas refugees (Yes I know there are other types of refugees). I only encountered few refugees from war areas. ONLY 1 person from Iraq, about 2 families were from Afghanistan, 1 couple from Pakistan(I doubt they were real refugees they spoke fluent English, maybe political refugee), and a most from African countries. Its too far for real refugees to get here. Its Easier for them to go to other countries nearby or Europe. MOST SEEM TO BE ECONOMIC REFUGEES. Most were coming from Africa. Some are coming from Latin America, which shouldn't be happening. Once they showed up at our doorstep and we processed them into the system, they were immediately in the same class as a Canadian resident homeless person if they were making a refugee claim. We get money to house and feed them (from the government), and they are given a stipend for basics from the government processed through the Social Assistance/ Welfare system (they get less than a resident/citizen I think.). They then have to get their case processed by the refugee board, and most seem to get in. I've only heard of few getting sent back. One person I know at our facility, was given a subsided social housing apartment after a year in our facility. So they went straight from a shelter to a government/city owned subsidized apartment. (Didn't seem like it was a issue for the housing worker...they didn't report it (if they were not the ones that helped the person to get it), they were white, the housed person was Latin. This refugee claimant, and then month or two new Canadian resident person was given an apartment in a prime area of the city, instead of the 1000's of Canadians, those who came before them, and born Canadian citizens on an extremely long waiting list. How this was allowed to happen I don't know. The person was probably sucking on someone's straw. I'm just trying to think the barriers these people have to go through to get a job here. We are far removed from the time of the 80's and 90's., and housing and jobs are so hard to get. Lol the "Canadian government asks them to repay the traveling cost to Canada if they are sent back"....I wonder how much the government recoups?.....more like 0 probably. What a bunch of crap. How do you demand someone to repay their flight cost when they get back to their country?

This is strange, how they chose a subject for reportage. Refuge status is not for everyone who want to improve there economic situation. He must to prove that his life and life of his family was in danger, that he was discriminated and absolutely not have other choice, but ask for refuge in other country. It is very difficult to prove, even if it is true. 90% of all entry asking refugee status will go home. Shopper Drug mart in TD Square-Downtown Calgary. I get racially profiled there all the time. It was busy one night while I was trying to buy something and I saw two people steal items right under the nose of the cashier. Since I get racially profiled there all the time I just watched the whole thing play out and laughed. Now I just bug the heck of the people following me: I ask them to look for stuff for me all the time. I don’t like the attention but I’ll make them work. And the people who do the racial profile are often people of colour, smdh! And the owners of most of these shoppers drug mart in Calgary are Chinese.

RE: Canadian healthcare, my wife broke both her hips in 2017 in two separate falls, she was admitted immediately to hospital without delay and operated on the next day (half hip replacement), after physio and occupational therapy she was discharged and provided Homecare, 16 times per week plus weekly Day Hospital. Our cost for both operations was roughly $160.00 for parking spots for me so I could visit her and about $140 in Tim Horton doughnuts for staff. The system does not have enough of certain types of specialists thus wait times for those specialists, and there are wait times for elective surgery. part two so now i have my first black friends and they call me bum blaster and blood clout with that thick accent and laugh and never explain . well time goes by and nigei invites me to his house to hang . so im getting a little drunk and tell a story about going to my first black bar --------------- you said what , all conversation stops . i say i went to a black bar and my buddys girlfriend starts at me about it not being a black bar but a ---- i cant understand her the accent again. so i start my story again , iwas the only white person in the bar and kind of stood out , felt like everone was staring at me . i asked if this is how blacks feel. well everone start freaking and my buddy who i work shoulder to shoulder with every day and eat three meals a day with and ride the bus home with. his girlfriend starts yelling im racist and to get out of her house. is my buddy walks me to the elevator i say to him you know im not racist and he answers i know but what can i do. i get it its always ok to be racist as long as your not white . we worked together as a team salt and pepper as he use to call us for an other year and he came to my house .

You need to be political asylum seeker, to get qualified, jail time, you need to be well known, articles, proves. I'm 55 yrs old Puerto Rican who's lived in NYC USA my entire life, I don't nor I have ever dressed like a gangsta, never acted like one and always dressed casually decent, but every freakin time I wallk into any store I am immediately tagged as a potential shoppe lifter and its always by my own kind or african american, what I do to get even is I pull out a bunch of cash money and pause for a few seconds in front of the cash registers and count the money and walk out the door without purchasing anything

I'm white and had on an old leather jacket ove day while shopping which possibly made me look needy. That day while walking through different stores at the mall, I was followed by store personal and also by the security team while walking between stores. After not seeing what I had been looking for in all of the other stores was a new leather jacket but not seeing what I wanted in all of those places that I visited, I walked to Wilson house of Leather and finally found that new jacket. Best of all it was on sale. I've lost some weight since those days but I still have my leather coat which is a bit big for me now and starting to look like the coat that got me followed that day at the mall. Not everything is color when you get those looks and I would say it's more on the way you present yourself. \n\n Funny how it was during the times of the HURRICANES were the riots and thefts were done by people od color. Not all blacks riot and loot but those who do are a reflection of the thinking of certain races on this earth. Yeah, we're not so awful... I'm American, living in Canada, and honestly, I'm here for my husband, who is Canadian. I absolutely ADORE him. The only thing that annoys me about Canada is the fact they seem to hate diabetics, anyone on a low-carb diet, or anyone who just doesn't want to eat a ton of sugar. In fact I can't get anything sugar-free in a store (simple things, like sugar free coffeemate, sugarfree cake mix) unless I pay, I'm not even lying here, TWENTY TIMES THE PRICE on Amazon, (I'm not paying $85.00 for a 10.2oz canister of coffee creamer... WTF?) That is 3.49USD in any walmart. These people have to be kidding me.

Having worked in lost prevention for years I can tell you that for certain black people are the most likely to steal. I worked at a store with cameras and casual security. We caught plenty of others before but most of the time it was a black person with baggy clothes.

Maybe immigrants of colour would have an easier time if they actually acted like immigrants of past to this country, the Italians, Portuguese etc they came to Canada and they didn't ask for handouts like the ones who come these days from India, Sri Lanka etc who get on welfare. In the past they came with the intention of actually becoming Canadians and assimilating, the ones now come and all they want to do is create their own little old countries here in Canada.

Black people do not steal more than white people! If the only people you are watching is black and brown people of course that is the only people you will catch. I had a white friend that worked at a Walmart and she said she caught way more white people stealing than blacks but management did not call the police over half the time and let the person go. But for the black people that were caught the police was called every time. I have even seen it myself when the sales person clearly saw the makeup in this white girls pocket, I know she saw it because I silently pointed it out to her and she just walked away. This happens all the time, but white people thinks black and brown people just like to make things up.

We live in N.Y. about 2 hrs from the border to Canada and we love to go to NOTL for a quick vacation whenever we can - usually 4 or 5 times a year! We find Canadians to be WAY more chill than Americans and we love visiting Canada. One thing I'll tell you is figure out the insurance because we've had employees who didn't bother to do this resulting in them having none. When that happens, and you file your income taxes, the IRS takes a fine out of your return. The first year it's like $100, but it goes up each year. After a few years they can fine you like $600. Depending on how much you earn you may be able to apply for assistance in paying your health care premium or may not have to pay at all. I would encourage you to do that before you start getting fined...and welcome to the USA lol!

I can see westerners being freaked out by the women who cover their face. I myself was like wtf when I seen a women with covered face for the first time back in northern Virginia, and I am from Ethiopia - a country that has a big Muslim population, more than 30%. I find that with each generation, the issue with racism becomes slightly less and less, which is great considering slavery was abolished only for about 100 years. I find that living in Canada as a black millenial is much better then say living in the 70s. I never faced racism the entire time i grew up here. but then again I haven't been everywhere in Canada. I think the most you'll experience here right now is indirect racism in the small towns. but you just have to show them who you really are and most will be OK. I don't think a lot of the people still have the mindset left in the 1900s. especially not in the major cities where its so diverse. but there's racism everywhere no matter what you look like. Canadians used to be the nicest people on earth. What happened? The PM Harper is ignorant about Islam as the Koran was the first time God gave women equal rights. Per The Book women are equal to men except by one degree which is strength so God commanded that men be the protectors of women. As to the wearing of anything on your head, God said nothing of this in the Koran. God said to cover your cleavage. He added that the scarf women wore around their pony tale could be pulled forward to aid with coverage if needed. I'm not sure how God's word became so corrupted, but at least the Koran has not been physically altered like The Bible has.
