Sadly, Canada is not longer the country it used to be! \nAffordability is a huge factor, plus the difficulty to enter the job force or find a good job (not only in academia in every field) which so necessary to pay for housing, food etc\nBut also the social and cultural changes has been huge in the past decade. \nAs we see the decline in USA, we can see Canada is following closely and in some areas, we are doing worse.\n20+ years ago Canada have quality of life, that has dropped drastically in every area health services, schools, security, transportation, housing, infrastructure etc. although we pay higher taxes than other countries we do not have the same services.\nLaws restricting liberties and going to the extreme on protecting and impossing other ideologes erosion of freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion etc. \nOn top all that is the huge public debt, lack of transparency, abuse in the spending of many politicians, and corruption.\nAll together has turned living in Canada less disarable for many immigrants and also nationals. Many Canadian are choosing to live abroad or retire abroad.

My husband has been here since 3 years of age for over 50 years now, I have been here for over 30 years and we are leaving in the next year. Last December, I spent THREE DAYS in the Emergency dept waiting for a bed and to be admitted. My ailment? I was suffering from bacterial pneumonia. They bungled my medication as well. Canada's healthcare system is a joke. I was born in Canada and have watched the deterioration of our once once-vaunted OHIP system fall apart through mismanagement. Sad state of affairs indeed. People from all over Canada are moving to Alberta , Calgary in particular. The cost of living is less than Ontario, Quebec and BC. The proximity to the mountains is great. Calgary is a beautiful city with great neighborhood’s and parks. The technology sector is attracting a large number of companys to Calgary because of the reasons above but also because the work force is one of the youngest and most educated,mainly because of the training for the oil and gas sector. Being just over an hour from one of the most beautiful national parks in the world doesn’t hurt. Banff National park. Also with access to many summer vacation spots in south and central BC. All these things make Calgary a great place to live. Alberta also has many other cities and towns worth checking out. With a competent and caring provincial leader in Danielle Smith, Alberta’s future is looking bright.

Gov Abbott should have the national guard there

India brings a complete opposite religion, language and ideology to foreign countries. It’s the Indian the does not participate in community activities, and integrate into a true Canadian national identity. This refusal has ultimately resulted in Indian being discouraged and quickly blaming others for the problem they have. If rent in downtown Vancouver on the 25th floor is to expensive, maybe try moving to more rural communities in Canada, where costs are different in living. If you come from a poor punjab province in India whereas you’ve sold the farm to come , then don’t expect a downtown Toronto sky rise , 1500 square foot 17th floor underground heated parking, to be the dream destination of your vision. It’s comparable to moving from the punjab to downtown Delhi and expecting the same cost comparisons to the punjab. Unfortunately it’s not sad to see the Indian people go. Hopefully Canada will begin immigration of more cultural like minded people and more people that have religious alliances, than some completely opposite ideology than a Canadian nationalist.

This story is misleading and the Title is completely false. Canada's Student population doubled in 3 years and Canada went from 7th highest Foreign Student Population per capita to 2nd, so the Canadian Student housing situation worsened quickly. So the Trudeau Government put a cap on Foreign Students and offered low interest loans to Universities to immediately expand Student housing. Canada has seen NO drop in citizen applications and still refuses far more applications then it approves. So with even Canada's low birth rate still combined with immigration Canada's population is the fastest growing per capita of Western Democracies at an annual population increase of over 1 million people a year. So the Headline about Citizen applications which had nothing to do with the story of Foreign Students.\nAlso I want to add they stated that the gentleman had set up a business to bring home students from Canada when in the interview he stated that Canada was only one of the Countries but stating it the true way is less dramatic and doesnt fit their Narrative. Also the story was clipped from India a Nation that has been ata diplomatic war with Canada for a year after their Government Murdered a Canadian Landed Citizen. So their Governement put out a warning for their Citizens going their amongst other revenge moves. So the story has so many outside bias to be sensible.

Lets face it...time has been tough for now... yes there is housing crisis, students are suffering... canadian dream is broken as of now... but no nation is perfect... it all depends on your hustle whether you want to run towards the storm like a buffalo or a run away like a cow... you judge ur situation whether you r comfortable in ur home country and u think u can make it better overseas...all depends and is very subjective...so analysis your own situation...
