As a former international student (now citizen) I find it crazy that these diploma mills exist, I never understood how intl students can be so poor when I had to pay around $150k for my high school + university education. \n\nI'm shocked that the doors are so open that literally anybody can come in, that's not how it's supposed to work, going abroad to study is a privilege, Canada SHOULD be more selective about who comes through. \n\nAnd don't come at me about pulling the ladder up from behind me bullshit, I don't have a problem with intl students that go through the proper channels, but an intl student shouldn't have to work to survive, I worked because I needed experience on my resume ?. Yes, it's a privilege, AS IT SHOULD BE.

I was born here in canada but my mom immigrated. Took her 20 years almost to get full citizenship . \nThe cap is needed . These past 5 years has been honestly out of control . \nI've personally worked jobs where international students knew exactly how to work the system . \nEven working directly with employers to bank hours so that they can go full-time during summer yet still get paid for the whole year as part time so the government doesn't see that they pass there maximum hours worked . \nThe access to credit aswell is super scary .

As an international student from India at a top university with a scholarship, I found it quite odd when I go to the Tim Hortons near McgIll or literally any food shop in Toronto and found talking to the guy/girl taking the order in Hindi. I am like bruh wtf I went from India to mini India, wasnt studying abroad supposed to be a difficult prospect. The senseless immigration that happens through diploma farms, that only increase the population of unskilled immigrants needs to stop. International students ARE NOT driving up home prices or rent...that's a supply/demand issue (plus the lack of control government has on landlords and how much they can charge for a specific unit) and it's also a foreign buyer issue (yes Chinese foreign buyers, who buy homes in Canada but never move-in and use it as the home as a savings account). Not the international students problem, when the government of Canada DEMANDS THESE STUDENTS NOT WORK FOR MORE THAN 20 HOURS A WEEK and then watches them struggle to pay for rent (and therefore have to live 2 or 3 to a room)...yeah, don't blame the students. BLAME THE GOVERNMENT for bringing these students here, handicapping them by limiting their work hours (minimum wage at that) and then turning around and blaming them for why homes are ridiculously expensive and rent is unaffordable. Yeah, don't blame the government for it's inability to build homes...don't blame the government, instead, blame the minimum wage international student...it's going to be interesting if this actually brings DOWN rent prices and home costs. Which it won't, at which point, the government is going to be pointing fingers at someone else. Like they always do. LOL.

They charge waaaaay more and make that much more.\nThe response against more foreign students by liberal media is the threat that your tuition will go up with limits on foreign students.\nWhat about spaces? Is 900,000 the number for International Students only, or it includes those who go with them? E.g. Many come with a husband or wife which is granted an Open Work Permit, and many come with kids too. If 900,000 is for IS only, then multiply that by 2 or 3 to include those that go with them. So 2 to 3 Million? Come on, we gotta be kidding.

Listened to your vlog and I want to suggest few things as an immigrant myself... I am not sure of your detials but seems like your husband came back after 2 months leaving you there with family.. I have rarely seen any family settling abroad unless they have seriously burnt all there bridges back home.. if you start with a mindset that let's go and see and if doesn't work out we will come back 90% odds are you will go back.. firstly come with absolutely clear mind that no matter what happens you are not going back.. and you will make it here no matter what. The journey will become much easier and one directional.. Secondly you do not have to rely on any family abroad to move.. this is an other mistake people make.. they think they will have support but this support is actually a limiting option ... it doesn't let you get on feet quicker. Nobody can support you for long abroad and sooner than later you have to get on your feet. once you over stay your welcome you can start getting some unwelcoming vibes and then you get depressed thinking there is no one genuinely yours in this country.. you waste your initial time relying on your family.. better start without them in the first place and get going from day one.. and lastly 2 3 months is nothing to settle any where let alone in Canada.. you have to be patient, persistent and focused and after 2 years and after seeing all the calendar and religious seasons twice, you finally start to think of new place as your home.. its hard but in the end it's truly worth it and then you can never go back to India or Pakistan

I went to Conestoga college, and I wish your mon read my words. Canadians, should consider that international students are paying around 20k yearly to Canada Colleges institutions that are not offering better education than the one provided in their own countries for way less than 30k. Other developed countries, like Germany or Belgium offer the same programs to international students for around 8k yearly, but, the international students rather come to Canada which also offer an easier path to become PR. But then, they crash with the reality and they realize that even many Indians can't speak proper English to be competitive in a Canadian College or in a Canadian company. Unfortunately, Canadians educational institutions know that the English spoken by international students is not enough but, they send them an acceptance letter from the institution so they can come and study in Canada. So, the real problem are the Canadian public colleges and Universities accepting people with a poor English level from overseas. Canada is a great place to be but, this kind of actions make their productivity poor which is in reality the problem behind the bad economy development when compare with similar developed countries. So, your mon should first blame its own country policies and educational institutions rather than international students for that kind of behaviors when they are students. Also, you should put your self in their shoes, learn German and go to Germany and see how easy is to manage to get a waitress job only in German in a city like Cologne. And then remember that this international students are bringing 20k from their countries economy to Canada each one yearly. Know, think how many Canadians bring 20k yearly to India or Nepal... All of the reasons except for #2 and #7 are due to the liberal government policies in BC. For example #3 is a rising issue because they changed how the drug laws were enforced by the police about 20-30yrs ago. Not arresting open drug use in public like they should be as an example. Now they have stores you can buy cocaine in BC. You are absolutely right dear. I've lived in Canada since November 1968, moving from England where I consider trying to live there to be even worst than Canada. I am 82 years old now, having survived through a number of hard times here. However when I have finally paid off my mortgage, I'm going to have a little money to travel for three or four months every year, but I have to stay in Canada for at least 183 days each year to continue receiving my pension.

What's wrong with United Arab Emirates. I heard they have a good economy. The only drawbacks: I think you need to have a fair amount of capital before they will accept you. And the cost of living is rather high. If I could speak Arabic that country along with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait would be one of my possible choices. The problem with Canada today is that the leaders are all completely inept, incompetent, and corrupt. I guess they think that Socialism is the way to go.

My parents immigrated from Britain in the 1959s after WWII and built a comfortable life! At 72 I live a relatively comfortable life although I have spent all my savings and I currently rent! I lived in Spain with my much younger Colombian wife who passed away in 2019. My pension income is sufficient for me to live since I returned to Canada and I have better than adequate healthcare and dental care! The short story is \nTurd and the Turdettes were elected because Harpoons and his band of buttkissing bootlickers were self-serving incompetents. Now Turd, who has never been competent to be PM, which his long list of scandals should easily prove, is going to compel the election of another incompetent self-serving politician. Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. We’ve found the easiest way to make friends is by going to university or college together and living in residence, rather than once we’ve enter the workforce.\n\nThat said, and as unpolite as it may be, the root of Canada’s problems are exactly its politics. IMO Canada’s misguided liberal policies are to blame for its stratospheric taxes, cost of housing, increasing crime, tolerant drug culture, and deteriorating health care system. That Canada now encourages voluntary euthanasia to reduce health care costs should say it all. Margaret Sanger would be proud. And it promises to get worse as long as Justin Trudeau and his ilk are in power. His lionizing climate change intervention at the expense of what really impacts Canadians is sheer madness.
