As long as Canadian are protected mainly worn who marry these guys thinking it is true love and realize later it is only for paper damaging Canadian women stability. We need to stop this. Too many illegals are stealing jobs from Canadians. They come here and get hired for cash under the table by their friends friends and avoid paying taxes which hurts our economy. There is supposedly an agreement between Canada and the US called the Safe Third Country Agreement which means illegal immigrants are supposed to apply for asylum in the first country they come to. Unfortunately, because of Trump, the Canadian government doesn't trust any US government to give these asylum seekers a fair hearing. Second, this agreement only applies to official border crossings, not unofficial ones like Roxham Road. Trudeau is absolutely right in wanting to renegotiate the Safe Third Country Agreement.

In 2010 I had a one way ticket to Florida to visit some friends. At the airport they pulled me aside and said that if I didn’t come back to Canada within 14 days I’d never be allowed back into America again. I was traumatized and never went back. But here we are 13 years later and I can just walk wherever I want to go on this side of the world lol…but for real, this is sad. If you aren’t used to Canadian temperatures your in trouble. Hope everyone is okay. It is rough though, I was in a shelter for two months, but some families were there for almost a year because of the housing crisis. I’m not exactly sure how this will work. ?

India included, they have the potential to become an economic power house. We hardly produce anything here, and our government chokes off our natural resource exports. We have too big of government, too many regulations, too many taxes. Who would do business in Canada? Name a Canadian company other than shopify. Blackberry... Oh wait its dead. Canada is becoming one big California with crappy weather. I wish Alberta joined the US tbh.\n\nSummed up. Canada is a big ponzi scheme that relies on the greater fool theory. You can tell theyve never been to the US. Our emergency rooms can be all day long as well. And the taxes and health care costs end up being the same. Canadians are really misguided when it comes to their taxes. That tax situation is literally the same in the US. Its a false narrative that US people pay less in taxes when you build in the SEPARATE health care costs. For example, I pay 24% in taxes based on my tax bracket. Those taxes do not include the extra health care costs of having a PPT with health care premiums and deductibles- which is an extra 9330 (so an extra 10%)- so now we are paying the same- literally 34% between taxes and health care. AND add to that- the health care that we pay does not cover lab work and copays and medicines. Thats all out of pocket. So its honestly the same cost. It would be MORE fair to live in Canada where everyone gets that taken out of their taxes. Instead in the US, I pay for my health care, and poverty income people get free Medicaid. Then these girls talk about the cost of living? They have never been to the TRI state area.

I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. It's an easy claim because literally, if you can't insulate your self in winter you go visit the great gardener Jesus and his weirdo multipersonality disorder. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.

All people living in countries with nationalized health want to continue the lie that it actually offers quality service. There is so much proof everywhere that this is not true. Canada is a perfect example.\n\nAs someone who worked for the largest hospital chain I can tell you that 30% of our revenue at hospitals we owned along the US northern border came from Canadian citizens. It kind of makes you wonder, if Canadians get amazing high quality free healthcare, why would they drive to another country to pay for it? \n\nThe truth is anybody in the countries that have socialized medicine that can afford to, ops for private care. That is a fact worldwide that nobody likes to admit. Long waits to get treatment. Long lines once you get to the facility. Piss poor quality care by people who hate your guts because every one of you has entitled lightest coming out of your ears. But why shouldn't you… you've over paid for the shit your entire life and now it's time to use it so you think you should be treated like royalty.

However, Canada is well renowned for being one the least racist countries in the World compared to most Countries as well as one of the most Obliging & Tolerant. As a Canadian born in Toronto and still living there. It was so much better in the 80s and 90s. The liberal government has ruined this country in the last 8 years. Don’t come. It’s too expensive. Immigrants come to cities especially Toronto. There is nothing but low minimum wage jobs for you. If you can line up a great paying job and housing before you move, then do it. If not you are going to struggle. My Uber drivers are doctors and engineers in their country. If you’re thinned skinned or have any anxiety forget it. Sorry for the blunt truth. Well everyone, the option is to go into a system like the United States has , which incidentally is far from perfect itself, my spouse was in emergency for five hours last Saturday night before anyone looked at her, , which the system will spiral in to a business and if you think you have problems now, just wait till what’s down in the future. As a Canadian who has lived in the United States the last seven years, our good family healthcare is $1270 US a month, which incidentally has a $1000 deductible and a 10% co-pay on everything we experience, and trust me an MRI scan ( yes , just a scan, not surgery) for your brain is costed out at $7000, so be prepared to pay your deductible and 10% of it along with all the other attending doctor charges, even with good healthcare at 1270U.S. a month ! That monthly healthcare premium is almost $1600 a month Canadian. Canadians complain about taxes being too high also, but that is my profession, and when you round out the two , there may be 2 to 3% adjusted for the exchange rate higher and you still get a lot greater bang for the buck. Also, your higher education in the United States is easily 2 to 3 times of what you’re paying for in Canada. I know it’s not optimal, however trust me you still have it good in Canada, I find so many immigrants complain about it when they come to Canada, Yet they are living in a relatively safe and secure country, just a little bit of appreciation would be nice. Is it always what I can get, how about maybe what you can give? Maybe the answer for everyone and candidates to start to pay to go see a doctor if you can have the doctors availability, that is the sad truth, and I’m quite sure people will not like that by any means when they see the charges. Trust me ,Canada is obviously far from perfect, but is overall still a pretty darn good country, for somebody that dislikes it so much, they need to go back to where they’re from, and compare, it might be a better option for them.

As an immigrant I’ll probably leave this year after my masters. There is bias and racism for sure and not only subtle I had someone said shitty comments about my nationality. And I didn’t come here to work at a low income job Canadian experience is just another block to newcomers. Canadian tax payers don’t want to pay for drug addicts to get more drugs the Liberal Canadian government have set up “safe injection sites” and “ methadone clinics” that basically give these addicts more drugs that are payed for with our tax dollars again these clinics and safe injection sites didn’t exist when I was a kid and since then the number home homelessness has increased as well as the number in population addicted to drugs. As a dual citizen, there are so many things that's incorrect about this video. First of all, to make it an apples to apples comparison, I see no attempt to adjust the comparison by population. There is no point comparing Montreal (where I have lived) vs. Columbus, Ohio. Montreal is roughly 1.7 million people or 4 million metro. The correct comparison would be something like Boston. Similarly, there is no point comparing Montreal vs. LA in terms of geographical spread when LA is more than three times the size. So of course your commute will be different.\n\nComparing Montreal to Boston for example, Boston is very very compact. Yes, Montreal does have better food options than Columbus or your random rural suburbs. It doesn't come even close to similarly sized American cities. It's the same reason for example that one doesn't compare San Francisco for example, against London, Ontario. It's a pointless comparison.\n\nAdditionally, the claim that the worst part of Canada is better than the best part of America is laugahble. There is no truly terrible neighborhoods in Canada compared to American ones (where you can tell if you're in a bad neighborhood), but Canadians can't even imagine the wealth and prestige of the best parts of America, let alone compare with it. The wealthiest don't live in downtown New York (where they maintain their work residence), they live in Montauk. They don't live in downtown Boston, they live in Newton or Weston. The most affluent parts of Canada like Bridle Path/Rosedale (Toronto), Westmount (Montreal) or North Vancouver would look like abject poverty by comparison.\n\nOh, let's not also forget other factors for being in the US. The median household income in Canada is $67,000 Canadian. The median for the US is $69,000 US. The typical American is far wealthier than the typical Canadian. Anybody who tried to buy any goods (or services) in Canada and compared their choices in the US, it's not remotely comparable. Of course, the usual, taxes.

I was born and raised on the east coast of Canada, lived in Vancouver and visited Montréal Edmonton, Calgary with the acception of Winnipeg I’ve seen every major city in Canada. \n\nI will always have pride for my country and love for my family there but it has changed dramatically since 2010.\n \nI will say the transportation in Canadian cities are better and so is the crime and the food but you have to drive a minimum of an hour to get anywhere outside the city, your not leaving that city without a car and good luck surviving without a car outside the city, and VIA rail is way overpriced. The GO train is nice though.\n\nLiving in America it has changed a lot since covid too though people are a lot more desperate and you can feel it but people are too prideful to admit, where in Canada people are struggling and they dress and look terrible and fail to dress nice because there is less prideful.\n\nCanadians are not nice people they are passive aggressive and will not got out of their way to help you most of the time (modern day) kind of like Californians.\nThe east coast Americans are rude and trashy but they will help you if you show respect. There just no fun to be around mostly ? overall North Americans are chauvinistic.\n\nJobs are harder to get in Canada and opportunity isn’t there, but it is very relaxed.\nAmerica is overcrowded and stressful especially for a Canadian.\nMontréal is cheap rent great food, and being personally bilingual I like the French, but there infrastructure is terrible and the people are depressed and disgustingly rude and they have no customer service.\n\nVancouver is overpriced in every way possible, beautiful city, great seafood but it’s not worth the price tag, you would be better of living in a San Francisco, the crime in Richmond and burnaby and new Westminster and hasting street is just as bad as San Francisco’s tenderloin.\n\nToronto is big and fun yet it doesn’t feel Canada at all, it feels like it’s been hijacked by American and foreign companies. It’s beautiful but lots of rats and bad traffic. People are relatively nicer there but it’s still expensive like New York.\nCalgary is very pretty probably my favorite, it’s just cold AF and kinda pricey. Probably perfect for families.\nEdmonton is flat and boring but I like it’s proximity to Calgary ?\nOverall it’s one of the best countries to live in the west but if you like fast paced, opportunity, diversity, traveling and are rich enough for elite education then come to America. Lastly Canada is a democracy so bills can be passed faster but that can also be a bad thing if you have a courrupt gov’t, cough cough trudeau.\nAmerica is a republic so it is harder to pass laws which can suck but it is also harder for people like uncle joe to overreach. Overall in America you are more free but in Canada you are more at peace. \n\nI’ve lived in America for six years and moved here at 20yrs so this is just my experience.

I am not going to lie the food and general cost of goods thing in being higher didn't make sense to me. I live in NY state by the border and I saw a lot of Canadians coming to the states for shopping general goods pre-covid.\n\nWould always hear about how clothes and other goods are so much cheaper in the US. That's with NY state taxes which are considered higher than most places in the US.\n\nYou can go down south for 3 dollars get a big ass burger fries and a drink.\n\nThat being said it doesn't really matter when a visit to the hospital cost any where from a down payment on a apartment to a down payment on a mansion.

Everything your saying is true I am Canadian. I tell people from the states the difference in school parks that I seen. All the kids in Canada are in side doing homework after school. Because are school system is way better. You see kids in the states out side playing sports for scholarships. So thats why as Canadian I feel we don't care about leisure activities. We rather travel and come home.

I find the biggest difference between interacting with Americans vs. Canadians is Americans come off as trying to end the interaction ASAP and Canadians are more awkwardly trying to find a way out of it instead of just waking away or doing the NYC “ok BYE NOW”

I was with you guys until the food point that one is straight ? there’s literally regular restaurants here everywhere. Canada is literally not that different than the US when it comes to that food stuff. Some 3rd country in East Asian on the other hand those people can talk smack about food but definitely not Canadians

America has better-looking Women due to their population size but Canadian women have better attitudes and generally are more Educated. If you are a semi-educated man with no EGO who is looking for a well-rounded woman then the Canadian woman is for you. If you are a man just looking for eye candy or just something shallow for a good time with no desire or care for their opinions and minds then the American woman is for you. \n\nIf I was a multi Millionaire I definitely would roll with American women so I can have a good time with a minimal amount of complications, in Canada because Women generally tend to be more educated than their American counterparts, You are then forced into constant serious discussions be it personal or otherwise which can come off as a Buzz kill.

Also a con about Canada is our grocery store and our cellphone company....we pay alot more than our American neighbor when it comes to cellphone bills...also the grocery stores are owned by the same person so they are gauging prices . There's no competition...so they can set the prices at wtv they want...I agree that flight prices here are flipping ridiculous!!!!. Why is it costing me 600$ to fly from MTL to Toronto???...what alot of us Canadians Do is drive to an airport in the states and then fly cuz it's that much cheaper

Sounds like you're a immigrant yourself, there is like no racism at all, it's more like if you're a immigrant or your someone of a different culture you associate people having a problem with how you're doing things as if it's to do with your race and not your culture. When you relocate to a new country you are supposed to adopt the new culture. A Canadian finds it insulting for immigrants to come to a country and not try to integrate and be part of it. It's ignorant to come to another country and not respect their way and how they do things. Whether you like it or not there is a Canadian way and you need to do it when you come here. You do not come here and act like you do in your country you came from it's not the same thing. You definitely don't come to Canada and preach that there's racism it's not in our vocabulary you need to get it through your head. Is there some racial jargon absolutely but you need to get used to it because it's a lot less than every other country. It is also impossible to get rid of if completely. As well stereotypes will be created because there are stereotypes with certain races that come to a country thinking they continue acting as they do in their country in the new country they move to. Stereotyping is not racism. You will have to need Ian's that might not like certain races because they don't conduct yourselves properly in the country. It's stereotypical and it's expected and should be expected if people coming to a country not respecting that country's values. Nobody wants people going to their country acting like they do in the country they came from. And if the Immigrant can't get used to how things work here than they don't belong in the country they need to go to the country that is a home for them. Canada isn't the Wonderland of all Races where everybody gets to still act like they're in their birth country in Canada when it's not.

Racism. In Canada it's become equal opportunity racism, but Caucasians will still be forced to take the blame, 100%. As a Canadian Filipino, the racism directed towards me comes from the Chinese and Indian community. The experiences of my Caucasian wife depend on what community we happen to be in or travel to. She is as much a foreigner in Richmond BC or Surrey BC and subject to the same racism as others face.

I disagree with the racism part. It's not that it is not existant. It exist, but no where else in the world would you have places like Fairmount bagel, Willensky, Schwartz that are reknown internationnally. How can Canada be racist when ethnic food could thrive so much? How can places like Satay brother in Montreal thrive? How can we have so many Korean, Japanese, Chinese businesses thriving in our country? I've never heard of a famous poutine( the dish) place in Roumania or China? What about Cubas world famous tourtiere? Never! In addition, you draw conclusion with being very biased with the statistics. I am pretty sure you don't know the margin of error of the study you used! It's just a free insult. If there is that much racism that I might be blinded by, well at least I can garantee you that you're not helping reducing it! Canada is a wonderfull place to live if our politicians don't act crazy like in the last few years. I am glad to encourage any the business I just mentioned. without them a least Montreal wouldn't be the same. In Canada, we almost all come from immigrant family. So, no! Most Canadians, born here or naturalised , are not racist.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

This is why Canada wants all the immigrants to come work here so they can drain all their income in taxes to pay for all the old people draining the system. They need workers at low paying jobs to work double hrs. paying double taxes to pay for senior's health care etc. They are also consumers who will have to spend what's left of their pay cheques to just feed and clothe themselves. Leaving so little left to actually do anything with. As a 5th generation Canadian I have struggled all my life to just keep food and home to live and raise my kids on very little. Now due to what has happened in Canada and the economy, inflation, skyrocketing housing prices, my kids will never be able to own a home in their own country. It's sickening. Canada is cold. Canada is not fun. Least fun because of all the rules on everything. Taxes and fees on everything. There used to be much more fun and things were much more relaxed in the 70's and 80's but now it has changed so much that I'm starting to hate my own Country, my province and the Canadian leadership at this time is the worst in history. And get this: I'm so poor I couldn't even afford to move around or travel in my own damned country! We don't even have a universal transit bus system to travel anymore. YOu have to have a car or fly but be damned if you can hop the old Greyhound and go from Vancouver to Toronto anymore and save a few bucks. It's sick and dysfunctional here.
