It's ridiculous as one one hand we hear labor shortages, retirements, declining birth rate etc and see an over population of international students in various unheard of colleges. Jobs are hard to find for citizens and some lobby must be making $$$ of this ? And regular immigration plus refugees so gov policy needs to be re-examined ?

Legal immigration of vetted people, that speak one of our two languages, have a necessary skill and a desire to become a Canadian and uphold the Canadian Constitution are welcome, at a rate that is manageable and beneficial to the nations citizens. It is nothing short of madness, dear friends. We must prioritize the welfare of our own citizens before we open the floodgates to the world. I am not advocating for a complete shutdown of our borders, but rather a more measured approach, one that takes into account the very real challenges we face as a nation.

They love america.. they get good jobs easy over here.. most of them get better paying jobs than us citizens and they have no social security number.. They stick together over here, their people get them brand new cars, jobs and apartments.. When i lived in Charlotte many of the women from central america had an apartment, car and job within a week of being here.. Many of the women come here pregnant or immediately get pregnant. They can get free medical and food cards for their children when their born on us soil.. Construction companies, cleaning services, restaurants, salons and hotels will hire them before they hire people who already live here because of their good work ethic reputation.. High rent doesnt bother them because alot of migrant live in groups of 5 to 10 people.. That usually means at least 2 to 3 men working in the same home.. Thats 2 to 3 incomes so 1600 to 2500 rent is nothin to them..Not to mention their wives work half the time so thats another income..

They should ban immigrants coming from India, at least for the next 10 years. \nToo many immigrants, including international students, are taking away job opportunities for Canadian citizens!

As an immigrant to Canada myself, I have to state the obvious, the problem isn't about immigration, per se, as it is about the lack of discernment. Not all cultures are the same. Canada can and should give preference to immigrants from other democratic countries. When you import the third world, you import its problems. It's commendable to try to save everybody, endless respect, but your citizens have to come first. Canada can't save the third world by becoming a part of it.

i am a citizen, an IT professional. it has been 4 months and i have not been able to find a job. i have 12 years experience with multiple certs. IT field has been flooded by indians. they get into HR then only hire there own. they have whatsapp groups, where they share jobs, with each other and ask to apply, then refer each other within the company. 1 indian is hired and then whole company becomes indian. Canadian jobs should be for Canadian Citizens first. Stop immigration, stop renewing temp work permits, stop allowing students to work. we Canadians cannot find a job.

The conservatives don’t touch the subject because of the fear of being perceived as “racist”. It wasn't like this 8 years ago and there's so many people of a certain demographic that outnumbers the others. Now, it's really hard to find a part-time job as student and our healthcare system is plummeting as well. Why we keep accepting them when we can't even afford to help our own citizens? This current government needs to step-down now; we don't speak for them. The fact that these people are able to rally in our country is absurd and they don't even have the rights in our country. This shows how weak the Canadian law is. They don't respect us and they mock our system.

If they can't pay for themselves and their families, including housing and health insurance then they need to be made to go home imo. Social benefits should be for citizens ONLY imo. Same here in the UK ????

We had a very nice family in our church whose work permit ended and it was very heart breaking for our church family to lose our friends, even after much prayer. That said, the Canadian government must be primarily concerned with the welfare of Canadian citizens not internationals.

I dont even think foreign students should be allowed to migrate to Canada - they can get their education in their own countries instead of taking spots and jobs from Canadian citizens. Our Immigration laws need a complete reworking.
