The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

There are many thieves as lawyers in Canada . They will present shitty cases knowing very well they won’t go through .

I'm white living in Europe, but I think that the way other people treat you is also very dependable on your facial expressions, on what the first impression you make etc.I have had numerous experiences in my life when going with friend (shopping, or organizing something) that because he looks more friendly or more attractive so people naturally speak to him first.Especially talking to females.Not sure how to fix it.Once people know me, it's much easier.Funny world.

Most the retail places i am not sure.. and I am not going to say that racism doesn't happen in these stores because i don't know for certain.. but i am going to post something to think about.. If their best buy is like the best buy where I live.. I knew people who worked best buy.. and certain floor reps get paid at least in part via commission.. or at least they use to.. typically the ones that approach you are the ones working to make sales.. they will usually only do so in certain areas though.. such as Computer area, home entertainment area, appliance area, phone area, POSSIBLY game area particularly if they notice you looking at the consoles, and occasionally I get approached when i am looking at personal entertainment stuffs such as the decent headphone and ipod/mp3 player area... If you stick to CDs, movies and stuff that you can just grab .. typically they wont bother you much.. unless you linger there too long.. then a floor rep might think you might need help looking at something.. In my experience they are just overly hover because they have to be.. but unless you are looking at something that is a focus of sales or a board employee finds you .. you almost have to hunt down reps to help you with something..

Black people do not steal more than white people! If the only people you are watching is black and brown people of course that is the only people you will catch. I had a white friend that worked at a Walmart and she said she caught way more white people stealing than blacks but management did not call the police over half the time and let the person go. But for the black people that were caught the police was called every time. I have even seen it myself when the sales person clearly saw the makeup in this white girls pocket, I know she saw it because I silently pointed it out to her and she just walked away. I don't know why she was asked to be escorted out, but by her own words the people in the crowd were throwing questions at her as to whether she had a bomb under her cloak. Well, whether she knew it or not, she provoked the crowd by wearing the mark of a Moslem - her cloak. Also, by going to the rally dressed the way she was, she knew before hand that she'd be treated that way. On her part, I see that as provocation. Had she gone plainly dressed or attired like everybody else, there would have been no adverse reaction toward her. I don't know what she could have said why she was asked to be escorted out, but she fully knows that the whole of America had been given the real and true picture of Islam - one of terror, murder, beheading, bombs, war, and blood. How do Moslems expect the most compassionate, kind, benevolent people in the world to act? So, please, use your common sense and do not see America as the enemy, the aggressor, or the provocateurs. They're not. They are just being vigilant knowing that the enemy could be so sly, cunning and untrustworthy. Islamic people,we welcomed you to our country. Don't think that we are not watching you. We have given you a new start for a happy life compared to the life you have had in your native lands, but we are guarding against an invasion that your evil governments have designed for our beloved country. The truth of the matter is that you are our guests in our country, and you don't have he right to demand of us what you like, especially when you want us to change our laws just to accommodate or please you. I feel extremely sad and sick about the invasion of Muslim, Based on history, I know this invasion is planned they are here to conquer the lands. I limit my visits to Toronto. When I see a covered woman/man (you don't know) on the subway, I feel fear. It angers me since I used to love going to the big city in my younger years. No I go only if I have to.

Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are. A true liberal person will value their acquired freedoms and privileges, and not be tolerant of the intolerant. Furthermore, real leaders should not be afraid to bring these points up, backing them up with hard evidence (not just hear-say or opinions), for the purpose of protecting civilised society: so that muslims and non-muslims all can understand why islam is incompatible with western civilisation. If muslims are offended by any of that, then that offence is brought on by themselves. PC has no place here.\n\nHere are some reasons why islam is incompatible with civilised society:\n1. Muslims consider the quran to be the perfect book and their prophet to be the perfect man, who's behaviour is to be aspired to, so perfect that any imagery of him does him great injustice and is forbidden. Other than being plain stupid, this in itself doesn't affect civilised society much (except free speech when drawing cartoons), but this does becomes a critical point in combination with the next points:\n2. A perfect man does not marry a 6 year old girl and then f*ck her when she's 9. But that's what their perfect prophet did and they know it, often justifying it as being in a different time. Well no time ever has been ok for a 50+ year old man to f*ck a 9 year old. \n3. In this religion that muslims consider perfect, apostasy is to be punished by death (quran 4:89). This combined with the fact that muslims consider their religious doctrines more important than man-made (western) law is something that makes them incompatible with civilised society. Of course they benefit from the civilised society, but not vice versa. \n4. Then there are the many verses in the quran that order muslims to fight non-muslims (and specifically jews), order death for adultery and homosexual behaviour, etc. Just search and you'll find as there are way too many to list here. Islam is an extremely controlling religion, it intervenes in everything aspect of human life, even as far as with which hand is to be used for eating and which for wiping off after taking a dump. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. In Saudi Arabia, non-muslims have to wear the hijab. So if Muslims plan to stay in Western countries, they have to unveil just like every other Western woman. Besides, you don't know if it is a man or a woman in burquah and it's frightening. They talk about women in Islam wearing the hijab, but how many of them really pracitise true Islam. Why are not wanting to go to Saudi Arabia. Double standards - they want the Western lifestyle and money and not the Saudi Arabian lifestyle. I feel like this kind of reaction is just going to hurt more people. Whether or not its going to be Muslims or non Muslims, who knows, but its gonna be bad .-.

I hope these idiots in this video who claim to be Muslims watch this and read these comments to know what they have achieved. Shame on them. What they are doing is just what thugs do and then they have the audacity to attach Islam's name with it. Go to Pakistan and implement it there or better yet go to Burma or Gaza and liberate the Muslims there. But you won't coz you're cowards. I am a Muslim and what these people doing is WRONG , from where they learned this??? In an Islamic country you have no right to do this : first you d'ont represent the government,secondly this way you make people have wrong ideas about your religion , not even close to an advice !!! Please stop doing these shamefull acts and learn how to be an example for those who d'ont know you. If it is very dificult for you to live there : go elsewhere may be another country where you may feel better . Islam is innocent from these ways of behaviour . Live in peace with all the world is Islam and frightening people will get you nowhere but to troubles.
