You NEVER have Asian individuals or groups on TV in distress over racial inequality. Sure, we encounter it from time to time, but how often do we stand on our soap box and complain? We get up, work and work and reach to levels of success and integrate into society to our potential. Not in the need of social or economic assistance due to racial suppression, especially in Canada. I think it's easy to fall under the pretense that we don't succeed or have certain opportunities due to the colour of our skin - it happens - however, sometimes success comes from who we are and what we are capable of doing. Old proverb says, 'quit looking for that hand to lift you up, use your own hand to find the branch that will lift you and get you going.'

I am an older white trans woman that prefers to date black men as I just find them more attractive. Here it comes the proverbial but, I sometimes find it hard to not be prejudice. I hate myself for that, but I need to be honest with myself or I could never change to be a better person. That is something I strive for everyday. A lot of my friends come to me whenever they need some extra cash because i always have something saved up,, my black friends never payed me back,, all my other friends did... so i stopped letting my black friends borrow money... im mexican, my people love getting drunk and typically take their job less seriously than others,, also we tend to be really loud and obnoxious.. ive worked with alot of indian people, and most of them never showered... stereotypes exist for a reason, but until you are proven to fall into these stereotypes you shouldn't be judged by them because there definitely are exceptions.

While with Canada you have fixed prices, which actually encourages stagnantion in development as anything that streamlines the hospital making it more efficient hurst the hospitals next year of available funding.. while being hurt in the USA can really set the individual back.\nIn Canada you get an overall lower quality of care as the talented doctors end up moving to the states where they can get paid what they are worth not stuck on a fixed income. And after all that rare illnesses in canada as stated don't have any coverage meaning that any one hit with hit rare illness finds out the hard way they can either pay for life saving medication or well pass on.. as most Canadian are taxed to high to have any substantial savings available for such an emergency as they fall into the trap that the government has me covered. \n\nSo each system has its positives and negatives and as far as I'm concerned it's not talked about enough honestly up hear.\n\nIf you have been to the dentist in canada thats basically the usa system, though the prices are fixed in some areas so some services won't be available.. as they don't update the payment schedule often enough so certain procedures pay well, other well can actually cost the dentist out of pocket. \nTherefore in some areas you can't get certain procedures done at all the dentist will refuse.

Coming from Germany we are used to high taxes. If I’d earn 100k CAD here I would get only 55k...but health insurance is already covered.\nBe aware when you start working in Canada but you’re not considered a permanent resident in that tax year. You have to pay a higher tax rate since you’re not a permanent resident. So if they hire you as a permanent resident (what they usually do cause they don’t know) you need to pay extra after submitting your tax return ;-)

I think we need to come close to each as one humanity. We should at least talk and explore those all different skin colors men and women. Not all of them are bad. I'm sorry, I never had an inmigrant status nor do I come from a country with a huge inmigrant tradition... But even I find the petition for refugee status kinda odd. I mean, go for another vida. Why do you need that refugee thing?

Okay. A lot of people here have no clue how the immigration system works both in the US and in Canada. “He should just have come here legally”. Well, most of the time a legal path to emigrating to the US/Canada just does not exist, and its getting more and more impossible to be granted asylum. In the US you can’t just apply for a work visa, you can’t just apply for a green card. You got to be eligible to apply for it. For a work visa you need a job offer first, you need proof of income and most of the time the employer will have to prove they couldn’t find an American to take the position. To get a green card you either have to get married to an American, invest at least $500,000 or try applying for asylum (which is almost impossible to get nowadays). ALSO to apply for asylum you need to be either inside the US or at a US port of entry. Try to be less “patriotic” and more empathetic. People flee their countries because of war, violence, cartels, gangs, terrorism, etc. They are desperate and want to protect their families and have a better life. If you were in their shoes and staying in your home country put your family in great harm you would have done the same thing. People need to stop judging, stop being selfish and start leading with empathy.

Get the first line of defense, you need it and watch he will never come back. This type of person needs to teach a harsh lesson as he did to her.

Whoever these people are who are telling what these companies/media to say are clearly trying to get us fighting each other. It really seems like they're trying to divert attention. Just by seeing this makes me think if this is what was happening when I was in a cvs one time. I ordered some stones for my nails online but it was going to come later thin I needed so I seen cvs had some stones with a set of nails but I was not able to decide on what stones so I bought one of all the ones they had but I had a lady walk pass me so many times. I happened to notice after a week later a go back to pick up medication and they put the nails in the front of the store. Smh I have everything I need when it comes to my nails and know never buy it from cvs. They was high priced anyways. It cost me 32 dollars for the 10 stones at cvs and my order online was 25 for 100 stones.

I’m not colored obviously but I have been on disability and lower income. I’m always getting fallowed too by store clerks at Walmart, I must just have that poor look idk?!?! I live in Victoria, and take this. I worked in a place, where the manager was from Asia, and she treated me like hell forcing me to move to another department, claiming she doesn't need an assistant. NEXT day she hired an Asian girl. She obviously needs an assistant, but because she wanted an Asian with her, she did that. And now you go to that department and you find all employees are from her country. Talk about racism, it's everywhere. And yes when an Asian or a black treat others in a wrong way, it's still called racism. People only shout racism when it comes from the White while we do see racism from others, but we don't hear anyone condemning it

Hi I am Christian and in high school I took a cross out of my backpack Christian cross and placed it on to my desk for a moment and I had my teacher come up to me and tell me that I need to put it in my bag because it was offencive to the person sitting next to me as well as putting my necklace that had a cross on it tucked into my shirt the student that was sitting next to me was wearing a turban and the teacher didn't say anything to him and years later my little brother when he was in grade school was told that he was going to get a detention or sent home if he didn't put his Bible away that he was reading on his free time

Cananda is tolerant, not inclusive. I’m a tiny black female and I’ve always carried myself a certain way because of my upbringing. However, I have been racially profiled my whole life. Thus, you can be ok with people being around you but it doesn’t mean that if you had a choice they would continue to remain there. ?? Im from Ontario Canada and have always worked management in retail. I've always taught any employees in any department that if you see anyone lingering for any longer than 5 minutes, black, white, or any race for that matter to ask if they need assistance! Again I don't care the color, race, most people that come into a store have come in and know what they're looking for! When I see a customer looking for longer than 5 mins, it's just common practise to ask if you need help. I'd suggest you's re-think this practise that we all are taught in stores

I am so glad this video aired. Personally, I had no idea Canada had these issues. Canada was always shown as a 'safe haven' from racism and from slavery. This is the place where run-a-way slaves escaped to. Although this is a tough subject and many both Black and White wish for this subject to come to a close, there is still so much education required on both sides that need this information. And more importantly, this video does highlight many success stories regardless of the racism and historical oppression that exists, even in modern times. Please do not loose sight of that important fact.

The way I see it, if you're coming to Canada to work as a cashier or taxi driver, just stay where you are. We don't need you!

While racism is real, there are certain people from some religious dicatorships in Canada spying on the free people of this country and making people uncomfortable too. there are those who want to push their beliefs on all Canadians and there has to be a balance in terms of acceptance and inclusiveness. I find many times people also play the race or discrimination card to push their beliefs and ways of life on others while I have heard them for example swear at and judge Canadians for example who don't cover up their hair or wear mini skirts......that is also discrimination and judgement and is also 100% wrong, even though they may be doing it quietly or in their own language. There is sometimes (besides obvious cases of racism of course) that there are 2 sides to the story! People that come to Canada also need to respect its values of respect for all, not just ask for it for themselves. While a lot of wonderful people come here and have the utmost respect for Canada that is NOT the case with those pushing their beliefs and particularly religious views on the rest of Canadians making them feel like outsiders I have heard many stories about.

Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. Celebrating obesity is absolutely insane and it sends the wrong message to young people. If a close one is fat of course I love them but I also tell them privately that they are a walking heart attack.
