Imagine the politicians eating a great dinner watching, saying somethingmust be done. Do you think they stop living comfortably and go to the border to help? I'm just saying...These immigrants just don't know how hard we, Americans have it too. Any politicians reading this, you can have them to come in the right way by working with Mexico and create thousands of jobs here in the US and Mexico. Get your sh#* together politicians.

As painful as this sounds the Venezuelan people are no good. They bring violence and theft to any country they enter. They steal citizens job and help their own. Nobody told me, I lived through it in my country and all we want is for them to leave. The saddest part is that most of these immigrants are infiltrated communists from the Maduro regime. The Mexicans at least are hard workers.

I live in Toronto Canada and I’m sorry they keep letting people in , no one can afford rent, they say there’s jobs but it’s only for new comers, they get housings money and cars, it’s a sin that they don’t fix our economy first before letting 1000’s of people in , a lot of us are literally living pay check to pay check and barley surviving the immigrants are taking over..

The issue here is not that we have a housing crisis , first of all let’s start with honesty. I have multiple friends from different culture backgrounds, however, one thing that sticks out to me , and some of you may not want to hear it , it’s that most of my friends that are predominantly “white” have become homeless or nearly missed it by being able to get some rental assistance either through local or federal grants. With that being said, I’m an American as well but in all reality it’s mostly immigrants or their offsprings that I witness myself still living regularly even during and after covid,why is that ? I heard recently a lot of immigrants come to Canada for the citizenship and healthcare . They go back to their countries to make money and not paying tax. \nThis is not fair for the Canadians who live here and pay tax. The government needs to stop this action

Some are trying to reunite with family, some are fleeing poverty and feel America is the best place to come up but it's those that are fleeing violence that concern me. We can't take on the world in one nation only to have some immigrants globally thumb their noses up at our traditions, rights we had to fight for, housing we need etc. The sad fact is running to America isn't the Answer. We fight the Middle East who will never change but we need to turn our attention to Mexico, the island nations and South America. It doesn't matter if people who won't change are overwhelming our nation. The violence you escape still comes here. It's getting to the point of entitlement. I've known immigrants who had to pay out-of-state fees while living in America until they could gain a visa but those from the south refute this and demand in state tuition or the same rights as those who took classes and became legal citizens the right way. So much violence from gangs and the cartel but we can't help by just opening the borders. It's time the South changed and took out the gangs and cartel for good to make a better life . Moreover, greedy leaders need to be taken out if necessary so these people can have a better future. The south and certain islands can't really say America should mind its business because these invasions are our business. When we are flooded with ethnic groups of people it becomes America's business nationwide.

I’m Hispanic and this shit pisses me off. My family had to grind it out and sacrifice so much to come to the United States the legal and correct way. We need more leaders like President Bukele of El Salvador and AMLO of Mexico. President Bukele incarcerated thousands of MS-13 gang members without trial. They are all in jail for life. If you have gang affiliated tattoos they come ant take you to jail for life. El Salvador is gang free and all citizens are happy. Ironically, the USA politicians are screaming human rights abuses. President AMLO stopped all catering to the high classes and wants to be more independent of the USA. This of course was met with USA indignation by politicians of the USA. We are not a very introspective country. Not that it ever makes the news but Mexico is home to 1.6 million Americans that are legally there and anther .5 to 1 million living in Mexico illegally. Remember that Banana Republics were forcefully ( With military action.) made to trade with the USA. Dole fruit being one of the main driving forces of USA interventionism. This act kept most of Central America’s governments weak and destabilized. We destabilized El Salvador all through the 70s and 80s. We destabilized Venezuela when our politics ran counter to theirs. We toppled and incarcerated President Manuel Noriega of Panama and went to war with Panama. Pablo Escobar of Panamawas killed with CIA operatives. Right or wrong our footprint is part of Latin America and the consequences of this still reverberate in todays’ immigration problems.

I can't just decide to live in Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, etc. I would have to legally try to enter their country to live there. The same for the US. Immigrants are welcomed, just do so legally.

Folks, I need to educate many for a second. When you immigrate to this country you DO NOT become a citizen when you get legal clearance. You can become a permanent resident at best which means you can live, work and do most other things here legally. You DO NOT get to vote or work in government agencies as a lawful permanent resident. To become a citizen you have to wait a minimum of 3 years, or more depending on your permanent resident status, to then apply for citizenship. You then apply for the citizenship application and if accepted the process requires you to take a test and go through a series of questions about U.S. history and government knowledge in an interview that you need to pass, before you are awarded citizenship. Through this process you are SUPPOSED to be committing yourself to the United States of America as someone who denounces your allegiance to your old country and is now pledging your allegiance to the U.S. This is now your home country and you treat it as such. You are now an AMERICAN, not a whatever from wherever that just lives in America. It should be a big deal and one to be proud of. I know people that have been here for 25 years as a permanent resident and they still have no desire to become a citizen. They have lived off of this country, raised families in this country, worked and benefitted from this country and still align with their old country and are completely amiss to what it means to become a U.S. citizen. There is a reason that only citizens are allowed to vote! Because you should have an allegiance to America and should vote accordingly and not be allowed to work in our governmental agencies for the same reason. Legal status and citizenship are NOT the same.

What Americans do not understand is that there are people in other Countries who are starving because their Countries have gone bankrupt, or their government system has collapsed in those Countries. Venezuela, Brazil, Greece, Pakistan, Argentina, Haiti, Cuba, and a whole list of more of which media is not telling the American people. America itself has put those living here at risk, for refugees to come in in drones, because the more illegals they let come into America, and allow to get their citizenship, the more individuals they have who can vote either Republican or Democrat. Why, while Trump was President, did he not finish building the wall to help stop the flow of illegal immigrants from coming in over the border, when he had the resources to complete the wall on his watch? Because there is another election coming up soon, and they have to allow these scenes to be portrayed in order to help shape the minds of the voter here in the US. Wow! That was wild. Here in San Ysidro everything was calm and actually civil. People waited their turn. I live nearby so I saw it with my own eyes. People at las Americas outlet would pass by food to them and the officers gave them the food. I was an immigrant 35 years ago I am now a us citizens and although I love the USA, I will always remember the struggles I had to go through. The hunger, the injustice, the reject and the cultural assimilation, learning a new language, and work work work until I couldn’t no more. All those efforts paid off and I believe EVERYONE has a right to have a better life. I have family members in Canada and Europe who are also immigrants and also go through these struggles. If they don’t make it to the USA, I hope the Mexican government takes advantage of this immigration influx, after all, the USA is great because of us. Why are we surprised? To the people that voted for the people who had no plans to stop illegal immigration why don’t you invite them to live with you? As a Jamaican Canadian I experience some anti-black racism all my life. The worst was at a few workplaces and a couple of visits to Montreal. I live in Toronto and it's here to, but not that bad. the western provinces besides BC are the worst. Quebec and the Atlantic provinces are also bad. My advice to all my brothas and sistahs that want to live in Canada is that you live in the GTA in Ontario. One other thing Do not live in Brampton, or you will be discriminated by another immigrant group which I won't say but some know.

They need to learn the local language. That goes for immigrants in Brazil too. This also goes for foreigners in countries like Colômbia and Ecuador. I live in Calgary, Alberta 3 hours from Edmonton and what she is saying been a fact. WS especially feel slighted with the heavy immigration yearly as if they are being pushed out or replaced. I mostly do gig work so I don't have to deal with job market as is. They have alot of immigrants with 1 or 2 degrees working security, house cleaning with no way out and paying taxes to sustain their aging Canadian Caucasian population (45-80 year old) . The good paying jobs are given to them folks while you import highly educated populations from other countries and keep them at dead-end jobs like the US.

I wish Canada did more R&D. We have the talent and brains to be innovative, yet so many of us go work in the oil & natural gas sector because it pays handsomely.\nAlso to live in the most scenic provinces like BC and Ontario is crazy expensive. We moved from AB to BC in 2009 which my parents bought their house for $550,000 that's situated 40km East of Vancouver, and today their house is valued at 1.4 million... almost 3 times the original purchase price in just over a decade. Now an adult, my wife and I were forced to move back to Alberta and leave our families because we simply cannot afford to rent there nor ever have an honest shot at saving enough money to buy our own place. It is what it is and I'm sure it's a common theme that's not only exclusive to Canada, but man, it does sucks. I'm happy for any immigrants to move here and call Canada their home too, but many are loaded with money and purchase numerous properties just to then rent it out at an absurd rate because they can. It's fueling the problem worst and making it unfair for the born & raised Canadians.

We should build migrant towns with basic infrastructure and let immigrants develop it and build their lives. All this land available and all this money that gets siphoned off and lost in the military industrial complex.

My dad and grandma were immigrants they became U.S. citizens and always worked and didn't expect anything for free. Never asked for anything other than the opportunity to work for a living. The way these people are crossing over is wrong. It pisses me off to know our government is allowing this because they aren't doing enough to help our own homeless people our veterans and low income families. My husband and I have always worked and are now retired and we don't qualify for most the benefits these people get for free. And they get it at the cost of every tax payer in the U.S.

I’m from Colombia, living in USA, and nope! I won’t be here forever, and now with all the mess about immigration, I’d getting more insecure, I don’t like it. I’ve been in Canada and I didn’t like how cold it is, but other than that I loved it. For me Canada is better.

I am all for those who want to migrate to our country. However, we need to fix problems at home. How and why is it we are allowing migrants to effortlessly acquire a higher standard of living than the majority of natural born citizens by crossing an imaginary line? I know there are families who risk their lives and work tirelessly to provide something better for them and theirs. As a father of three young children, trust me I get it! However, natural born citizens get whatever’s at the bottom of the barrel compared to the amenities given to immigrants. It needs to stop at least for now.

Canada is becoming less attractive to immigrants like me. it has fewer work opportunities and less salaries, but the living cost especially the house prices, whether you purchase or rent, are quite unaffordable. BTY, the IRCC is so stupid and unreasonable indeed.
