Where are the women's feminist groups? I remember cries of 'Male chauvinist pig' back in the '70s and the title was well deserved by most men back then. Muslim fundamentalist men today are poster boys for that title and I hear no outcry from the feminists who have been battling for full equality with men for the last 100 years. Here we have subjugation of women in the name of religion and the feminists are silent. Hijabs and burkas are relics of the Dark Ages and have no place in modern western society.

Being a Muslim woman must be very sad, in countries where Islam is the main religion they can't choose how to dress, they can't choose to have a career, they can chose who to marry, they can't choose their religion, and Islam also endorse husband to beat his wife if necessary. To the women who wear the niqab: do you really think that God is so stupid to judge you by what you wear??? God looks at your heart.\nThen, we can discuss about how much the US destabilised the middle east, but in general Islam doesn't fit well in a globalised world and created no social and economic development in the last 100 years. There are small exceptions (Qatar, UAE) who found oil under their ass, but in general a society who wants to live and do things like 1.600 years ago can only bring inequality and no progress whatsoever.

Interesting tidbit. My neighbors across from my apartment are Muslims. Normal, non extremist Muslims. They have 3 children. A girl around 9 and two boys around 4 and 7. It was heart-breaking to watch the poor daughter wear long sleeve cotton shirts, long cotton leggings, and a heavy dress over that in addition to a headscarf in 100+ heat this last summer. No AC in our apartments and her family is dressing her like it's 60 degrees outside with heavy fabrics and no airflow. She hasn't even hit puberty, yet only her brothers were able to run around in tshirts and shorts enjoying themselves. She always just sat around looking bored watching the other kids play.

I agree with you a 100%. I'm a muslim and you need to understand that not all of us are like that. The media is reporting this story that involved ''a hand full'' of idiots calling them self muslim disturbing people. This is not islam. The land does not belong to anybody so there is no way of making a revolution against another social group. We have to learn to coexist in this unique planet. The British Empire dissolved in effect more than 100 yrs ago - how are you blaming that for the problems in Islamic countries now? Surely for a people blessed by Allah as the true followers of the one true religion you would have had the intelligence, fortitude, desire, commitment and competence to have progressed over that time.\nNo, it is easier to take hand outs, blame everyone else for your problems and then when welcomed into cultures that are not your own, refuse to integrate and blame us!

Look at any 100% Muslim country and see the truth right there. The strength you speak of is only brutality, with no nobility, humility or courage except in the mob.

If I wanted to spread my religion atheism to the country where these immigrants come from I would most likely be sentenced to death. At 100% Muslim would be Dar-El-Salam. Here it is supposed to be peace because everyone is muslim.It is sharia & Quran is only word. Unfortunately peace never achieved. Most radical muslim intimidate and and spread hatred against moderate and satisfy their blood lust by killing them. e.g. Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Yemen.
