It is NOT just race. Depending on the bag or backpack you carry, you get followed, which I hate. And I'm not black. My mother also gets followed everywhere in every Macy's store. It drives me crazy. What killed me is she was eligible for the Working Poor Tax Credit. It goes to show how easy these rules are to exploit. Someone could sit down and calculate exactly what they need to make, how many children they need to have, what activities to pursue etc so they can gain access to all these tax benefits. Make the most money while paying the least tax. There was an article in the nation post about this which discussed Trudeau's statement that the poor do not pay tax. It is crazy the tax credits people get and it makes it so something like close to 40% of people do not actually pay tax.
