Canada has sky high immigration because it is a failed state, the population was declining. Immigration is basically all that is keeping the country from imploding. They will let in anyone because they are desperate to keep the tax base growing. The landmass itself is gorgeous, but the quality of life continues to deteriorate by the day. The country is run the by Royal Family, Trudeau is just a stooge people elect to grovel to the Queen and her son, he has no power. They are confused environmentalists, they want to grow their tax base and keep the country from imploding, meanwhile they want to use as little land as possible to do it. So you get stacked and packed into a condo and get worked nonstop and taxed so hard you can never accumulate enough savings to stop working. The whole country is a slave colony really. I'm leaving Canada shortly, I don't recommend it as a long term place to live, no one is really happy here.

Taxes are meant to run the country's affaires but people are just mean. You love it when you are broke and are able to benefit free services from the government but when you start making some money and are asked to contribute so that the country can keep up with all it's programs you start complaining. Come back to Africa, there is always a trade-off. No good service and less taxes. Just keep in mind that Africa not developing is our choice otherwise the cost of development is that, in a way ( higher taxes and government's direct control over people's affaires). I thank God anyway that you people can complain of better living condition but I would rather get busy working hard in Canada than not finding a decent job in Africa or bare the cold whether than sleeping hungry in Africa. While not staying that you would be in the worst conditions in Africa, I want you appreciate what you have and remember one truth, so many people in Africa would wish to be in your position. One of the problem is that the doctors and other medical professionals use the low costs educational systems in Canada to get an education and then promptly leave for the US. Taxes are high in Canada. But try paying 20,000 to 25,000 to buy health insurance for a family of three. And you go to hospital for a week and end up with $125,000. Bill. When you consider the cost of education and medical. In the US where you paying high health insurance, you wait 8 hours in ER. I think most immigrants are too disgruntled. Many of them.move to Us and regret it. Sometimes, we want to come into Canada and look to get rather than contribute. Where in the US are seniors getting old age pension. One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! You gotta now cater to the rich and famous wealthy people but then it’s back to never being home and not enough time for family. \nThe reality is if we could make the money we make here in North America and Uk back home in in the Caribbean and specific countries in Africa it would be a dream come true and that goes for other communist countries too. You truly have to know what makes you happy. Make money but enjoy life it might mean living below your means even though you can can afford a bit better life style. People do it all the time back home (not because they want to I know) but for some reason when you move abroad a one bedroom for your single self is to small, the car under $24k isn’t good enough, you don’t want your kids to share a room so you need a bigger house and the list goes on and on. \nCanada is boring if your not in a major city with money to spend you know why? Because people forget the population of the entire country of Canada is only a 3rd, 4th, 10th of the population of certain countries that immigrants came from and in the case of the US population it’s 100x more than Canada. So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. Even just the freedom of travel half of the immigrants would of settled elsewhere before the year was up or go back home.

I don't know people just like traveling and living where they find a suitable lifestyle. I think the main reason people complain so much about racism in the USA is because of the media and very small percentage of people complain to other people world wide, overall the entire people of America have people from the entire world and people look bad on any group who says things like white this black that when talking in a bad way and not addressing there own color of people like themselves. So for instance here in America people like to be many ways introverted piece of mind not want attention and don't like others almost yelling when they talk. Overall America has mixed people of any color and family nomatter where you go in America, no one listens to negative people anymore, that's why negative people are so jealous, almost everyone is mixed in some type of way in America nowdays. ??

After listening to all these people speak. I can tell you that family and community is number one. Human beings gravitate towards each other. So if they could bring that community with them to Canada they would be happy. All they want is security, peace and acceptance. No one is saying I want to be in Canada because of $$$$. It's the peaceful environment and ability to feel secure.

I understand you like the proximity of European cities and countries and I’m happy for you that you now live in a city where you feel alive and happy. But please, don’t take Canada for what it’s not: Europe. It’s an extension of US. as for weather, it’s a northern country and Vancouver is the London of the west coast. Rainy but mild.

This is the all true allover western countries people are program like robot even here in Holland and Belgium, discrimination, police injustice, lack of respect for your colour and your Africa diploma's is just the same. We had been misused and missed educated till now many African heads of government officials are still blind and deaf. Everyday millions of your colour drowned in the Mediterranean sea some are killed by Moroccan police but nobody says anything or a single word about it. My advice is if you have any money with your slave certificate to start your life back home better than to relocate and register as a new slave in the Western world. My sisters Canada is still a good country compare to Nigeria where there is no good infrastructural facility, power and security of lives and properties. Look at how organized the government is compare to Nigeria where there is no. accountability. Tell me what is working where we came from. I went there because I was fed up in my country and when I returned it was worse than when I left. As I am now 68, if I can afford to leave again I will and I'll never return again. I told the Chinese who knew me I was returning because I missed the land, but I never really missed the people. Now that I'm back, since Jan. 2022, I want to leave again and I will and Never return. Health care in this country is in the Sh*t-house, it's impossible to get a family Dr. In part I returned for medical reasons, but now would rather die than have to deal the the Canadian medical bureaucracy - REALLY !!! My wife, my 3 kids and I used to like Vancouver but not anymore!!! The weather is why we plan to leave for good but also the expensive rents! I also heard about horror stories at many hospitals (and yes, I have worked in Africa and to be honest, Africans hospitals are way more functional than the ones in Canada in terms of human aspect… there they care, Canadians do not give a shit about anyone!!! And I am saying this as a Belgian!!! I have some African colleagues at work here and at least 80 percent of them either want to go back to Africa (one is actually going to start an Afro business there and build his own house) or move to Europe (one of them plans to live to my homeland Belgium and two others in France as apparent the pensions there are way better than the Canadian one) as soon as they get enough experience in canada! None of us at work , including me, want to retire or get old here in Canada! For me personally, it is the Canadian extreme loneliness and lack of willingness to open to others that really shuts me down… I am fed up and and tired of paying taxes in a country where some (not all) hospitals and some retirement homes treat patients like … objects, not human beings! Many people are saying that visa are getting refused and embassy's are not giving visa as already 27lakh files are pending and Jan intake is almost closed as all colleges are booked and one consultant was saying that there is the possibility of may intake I want to go Manitoba or Alberta since pr will be easier for +2 students. Bad things about Saskatchewan:\n-A LOT of snow, A LOT\n- negative 30c is the norm in winter, summer usually plus 25c (It's COLD)\n-housing prices aren't as cheap as the video says... sure you can buy a place for $280,000 :) ...an apartment. \nA new family house made in 2012 costs $550,000, an old one made in 1980 costs $330,000.\n- Not a lot of bang for your buck. Yes, there are jobs in the major cities but the pay isn't so great unless you are a nurse or work in health care. (Best province for upcoming nurses btw) Minimum wage for the win! \n-As I said previously, minimum wage for the win! There are jobs but you don't get paid enough to live without a roommate or almost be constantly broke.\n-Rent is okay. If you DO manage to get a decent paying job, like a teacher, plumber, doctor, etc, rent is cheap.\n-Expensive retirement. Thinking the healthcare is great for seniors? It is. But, get ready to give every last penny to your senior home. A neighbour got a quote from a local seniors home for him and his wife, $65,000 per year (MINIMUM) for the 2 of them. That's how much the old folks home costed.\n-You need a car. If you want to visit outside the major cities, you need a car. The Liberal government tricks immigrants into coming here so they can work low paying jobs no one wants. They claim to be immigrant friendly but can care less all they want is your income tax money.

Every province has good and bad qualities, except Ontario. I lived in Ontario on and off for about 20 years. Not one good thing comes to mind about this province, not one. I've also lived in Quebec and Alberta, both great. Ontario is like the armpit of Canada, it just stinks, definitely because of the government overreach, extremely high tax robbery on everything you buy, very high cost of living compared to both Quebec and Alberta. Both Alberta and Quebec are wayyyyyy cheaper to live than Ontario, and to be totally fair, the people in Ontario seem to be the most narcissistic i've seen within 3 provinces i've lived in, and with the worst roads. So much car repairs every single year from just driving on the main roads, which are basically just pot holes because they line their pockets with the taxes instead of using the money to fix the roads. The people in gov make so much money, there is none left after their payday to fix the roads or build any parks or things for families. Ontario is actually a bad place to live, especially with other good options available, it's the only province i don't recommend moving to if you want a decent quality of life. You can't even find a doctor here unless you live within or drive for 2 hours to get to the city. It's extremely inconvenient and expensive for no reason other than tax grabs and high fees for every single thing you have to do in life, there's a high fee for that in Ontario.

Hello and thank you for sharing your experience living here in the United States. I was born and raised here. It looks to me as if you live in a north eastern state. I do too, Michigan. And to be fair it can be very boring living here in the winter unless you like being outside in the cold. If you do there are so many fun things to do like skiing, sledding, snow shoeing skating ect.. But in the summer months everyone has fun and socializes where I live in my town. We have a lot of kids . 4 parks all different to enjoy. We have 4 or 5 lakes to enjoy and a large river that runs through our town. People are always walking, running, riding bikes and playing sports all around here everyday all summer. There are also many different clubs and groups you can join with people of like interests all year round. I would say if you are the type who likes a lot of interaction then get out and look around. Not everyone is sitting in the house all day. Also maybe try another neighborhood or state if your not happy where you are. Also if you feel disconnected from your neighbor's then may I suggest having a BBQ and inviting everyone to come and bring a dish to pass to get to know everyone. We have one in our neighborhood every summer and it started with one new neighbor who moved in and wanted to get know everyone. I hope you will receive my suggestions in love as I feel sad that you feel so lonely here and I hope it gets better. You could be the one to change everything for your neighborhood. ?

I dunno man I have been reading through the comments and it occurs to me.\nDont move from your own country out of the desire to make money or better ones career.\n\nMoney is a shallow thing and will leave you wanting every time.\n\nIf you do leave your country, do it to escape persecution or because you are in love and are getting married to someone and it is easier to move to where they are.\n\nI moved from the US to the Netherlands due to the latter, and have lived here for several years.\n\nI am comfortable here, and the particular Dutch culture I live around (In the Gelderland), is similar to the region of America I am from, even the food is similar but; people are born and tied to the dirt of their Grandparents.\n\nThe love of my wife is why I have remained. \nI know that someday I will likely move to back to America, and when we do my Dutch wife will make the same sacrifice.

Who wants that kind of streets, communities of Lagos, Nairobi or slums of Mumbai or Rio de Janeiro, and so on? Everyone must live in its boundaries otherwise conflicts emerge. Neighbors can be friends regardless of the country they live but friendship doesn't mean to be getting along all the time, crowding to he streets with children shouting madly . See how silent and peaceful this place is, no one is shouting, no garbage, no motorcycle running around, no cars with loud sound, no people messing up around. This is civilization.

I can agree with these comments if your not American, growing up we had all that interaction with family, friends and neighbors. Life n times have changed in America due to gun violence, especially in large cities. Socializing is different in every state in America and in every country. I can understand how if your not accustomed to our ways of life even today, that you would prefer your ways of living back in your hometown and your Country. If you live in a big City in America and moved there from a smaller town in America, you will be feeling some loneliness, that's normal to us in America. If your American then you adjust to making n meeting new people, that hasn't been so easy with the pandemic for anyone. To compare our homes in one community from another or even from another country, is just criticism. We don't have a specific way of living, as far as our homes are constructed. This is how as American's we have always lived, small homes, large homes, big cities, small towns. Since the pandemic we do find ourselves spending more time inside due to no fault of our own. We do have different ways of living but so do other countries which we do enjoy when we visit. If you want to learn more about America and our lifestyles and history, you should do that. Every Country has it's government rules n law's and we try to abide by them, that's what makes our Country n Our Nation Great, that's also why many people come here to visit or work and study. Loneliness can be anywhere, depending on the person you are and reaching out to make new friends or just acquaintances is important. Especially, if your away from friends n family from home or a different Country. ✌️

Developers and builder being charged 40% more for development charges (per door) so the cost gets passed down to the buyer...to the point new home prices stop making sense and builders don’t want to build. Cup of coffee has better margins. Justin knows he’s the one causing housing shortage, food shortage and soon fuel shortage.

Although I agree 100% on this topic people leave poorer nations because bigger problems like not being able to feed their families or in my case civil wars or not having a future in your own country. Yes they do have the communal sense of a lifestyle but all that goes down the drain when there is no money or education and corruption.In the western world people let you live and are not nosy as what we see in Asia. I respect that and if you want to go outside there is no one preventing you from doing so.

The U.S. is very large, and there are many different types of people and many different types of neighborhoods, cities, and communities. I have lived where neighbors knew one another very well, and their kids would play ball in the street or play baseball at the local park or playground. I have lived where there are walking trails where you would see the same familar faces time and again. I have lived where there were many community activities. There are places where you can find farmer's markets and where churches are large and hold events. Our town has many groups that you can join, and there is a local theater. There are cities of course, where you can find all sorts of things to do. People do have a tendency in many places to have their spaces, and as most people do have what they need within those spaces...and many are spending more and more time on computers and watching televisions, we are becoming more estranged than we once were. We have come to value privacy. But, again, there are many many people with many different lifestyles. Today I went to shop at two different stores and ended up in conversations with several people. One man invited me to visit his farm. One woman told me all about her home and garden. Another lady told me about her daughter and what was going on with their family. I did not feel like a stranger, and the people I saw working in different businesses today were talkative and interacting with many other people, including friends and neighbors and other familiar faces. it just takes a little effort to smile and to speak. That being done, I was very happy to return to my home and have my own space again, where I knew I could take a nap without anyone knocking unexpectedly on my door. So....it depends on what you want. I would hesitate to paint the U.S. with a very broad brush. \nThat being said, it is very difficult to leave your home behind. It can be very difficult to stop seeing differences because you did love so many things about where you grew up, though you might not realize how much you will miss them until you've gone. I feel that in myself, and I have to be very careful not to miss the potential and possibilities where I am, because I am always thinking about how I miss where I once was.

I'm born and raised in the United States and I wonder the same thing. I thought I was the only one that wanted to just meet up randomly and hangout.
