I have been living in Canada for about years and I have not figured out yet where I can move out. I feel stuck ?

Listening to your reasons for leaving Canada, it's abundantly clear to me (as a 76 year old who's travelled the world) that you're not going to be particularly happy wherever you live.

I'm sorry to hear that you wish to leave Canada. I understand the problem with winters. I think inflation is a world problem that you can not escape. I don't believe that the government is doing anything more than trying to be inclusive to all of the 'others' of our society but then I am an old man living in a very isolated place. My children were raised Muslim but not of the 5 prayers a day. My disappointment with the Canadian government's and opposition's stance regarding the genocide in Gaza is huge and it is the best reason you have given. Canada as with Germany in Namibia has its own problems living up to the genocides we have committed in the past. If you go to Malaysia I hope you become sensitive to the 'others' that live in that country.

I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

Canada is NOT an Islamic state and westerners shouldn't be forced to live in an Islamic state. If you want to live in a government/state that is surrounded by Islam 24/7 and have Islam visible in every aspect of your life...GO LIVE IN AN ISLAMIC STATE. Just regarding your crime stats and your section about safety - the homicide rate in Canada, and across all Canadian cities is very very very low relative to other comparable cities around the world, particularly the United States. For example, Toronto’s homicide rate in 2022 was 2.5 per 100,000 - compare this to a city like Chicago, comparable in size and population, which is 24 per 100,000. And this is not even nearly the highest in the US (which is St. Louis, MS at 69.4 per 100,000). The large percentage increase you mentioned in Canada’s national homicide rate is likely due to the fact that you are dealing with low base numbers to begin with - so small absolute increases can yield high percentages, and make it look much worse than it really is. Other types of reported crime may be up, and people may FEEL less safe (due to high levels of vagrancy, increased media reporting, and politicisation of crime trends) but Canada still remains a very safe place to live.

Please leave Canada. Move to Palestine and don't come back again.

You are not the only one complaining about Canada. I think first of all, we have to understand that we had been living in a peaceful world for the past few decades in contrast with the world just after world war two, and every young people had been living in comfort during their whole life. The last few years had changed, and if the world leaders didn't control the situation very carefully, we might be living in a world war not surprisingly. The inflation we are having is worldwide as a result of the pandemic, and because we have this rising inflation, the world had changed, it would have been worst if there is a world war going on at the moment. So this high cost of living is happening everywhere, and some places are even worst if they are having a war. If you think Canada is bad, name a place that is better than Canada and live there. I doubt if you can find another place better than Canada even with all your complaints. Do more research and you will appreciate that you are one of the lucky ones living in Canada. If you do not agree, I invite you to make another video telling me your findings. We are just in a bad cycle, just wait till the cycle ends, and we will see the sun shining again.

Leaving the west is needed because it's so dangerous of BIPOCs. Europe, Canada, United States are just unsafe. The only safe bet is to move to a place with a future, like China or even Russia. There you will be safe and prosper. Everyone lives well in China.

You ask for price and people say NO!!! Then they ask you> are you any good<? I mean, I done 250 homes in Vancouver BC and they still have doubts. After that they refuse to pay for services and so you work from hand to mouth. Even in the third world country, now, you make some of profit due to respect...Because they have to pay mortgage, people turn bitter and want to revenge on someone, or they are, or become> just mentally ill. When you are successful, due to your innovative methods, or providing for workers what they need, they cut you down saying > that you are propagating socialism in Canada, or will begin to block you, while using elite high tech mind controls... In my case they started to block my incoming business calls, because people I know for 30 years and I met in person in restaurants or while shopping, they just complained to me saying> I wanted to give you contract and I needed your reasonable services and tell me> why you are not unswerving my incoming cell phone calls? As a British person, I consider Canada one of the best countries in the world. I think Canada deserves better than you two ungrateful people. But best of luck with your relocation.

I would hope you could find happiness in Canada. One of my concerns about living in a theocratic country would always be, is this choice really your own? Can you ever be certain, if faced with violations of your rights, that the choice is really yours? And, if not, can you consider yourselves as choosing Islam, rather than being forced into it, even if in absence of theocratic rule, you would have chosen it anyways? Maybe I’m overthinking it. I have the tendency to do that. I think if I were Muslim, I might choose Tunisia. I’ve known people from Tunisia and it sounds like they’re pretty open-minded, but still obviously predominantly Muslim. I’ve been to Dubai, and while I see many people recommending it, I honestly thought it was the worst combination of East and West. All the commercialization of the West, but none of the democracy. Plus, if you are not native Emiratis, you will always be second class. I’m from the US in what I think is the mini-Canada (ok, the Twin Cities) and we have a big Muslim community, but I’m very concerned Trump will win again in 2024, and I don’t know what will come of it. My daughter is part Afghani, but raised Catholic because her father’s side is irreligious. But I still worry for her, looking like she does and carrying that last name. People are so awful.

My family and myself we all immigrated to Canada in the 80s. Back then it was easier to build a life here, but today it’s very different and I would advise anybody thinking of moving here to think twice. I personally don’t see a point in moving to Canada these days unless your safety is at risk in your country.

You didn’t mention the worst aspect of Canada: the dictatorship of the liberal politicians. You have no “Bill of Rights “ to prevent the oligarchs from making terribly oppressive rules that remove all rights worth mentioning. I left in 2006 for better opportunities. The city was declining back then but slowly. Come back for a visit every few years and astonished how awful getting around the city is and just how little the city has to offer. It mirrors the decay of Canada as a whole.

My wife and I are horrified by what is going such as early exposure to beliefs (indoctrination), crime rates increase, and fascist leaders. We came to Canada about 10 years ago, and, now, with a growing family, we are thinking about leaving Canada too. We wish the best to you guys and your family and we love your determination....!!!
