No, it's illegal immigrants become the problem. There's no government dislike the students who can actually bring economy growth.

International students is what brings money to Canada and help it become competitive. Students are much better than illegal immigrants who just leech off the government.

International students are not the problem, the problem is Asylum seeks, illegal immigrants that bring nothing but burdens of every type that Canada does not need....

Asian students only come to Canada to get PR (easiest way but more expensive). But now, finding a job is a big competition even after they graduated. Rental crisis is happening too due to illegal immigrants and massive foreign student influx. This is the same problem Australia is facing, so they are reducing foreign students intake. Local residents are finding it hard to get accommodation because of this problem!

Fyi - international students (for the most part) work extremely hard, apply for work permits after they graduate and eventually apply to become permanent residents. This is a good thing.\nMaybe rather than clamp down on those immigrants we should worry about illegal immigration or limit our intake of refugees

If we dont stop this the country is going to be ruined for 20 years. We are going to have chronic infrastructure and housing problems for AN ENTIRE GENERATION. Our economy is going to collapse because we have too many people and not enough jobs. We are literally having problems developing nations in Africa or Asia have except we ARE DOING IT TO OURSELVES. I’d rather have students here than refugees and illegal immigrants. We hire students who are nurses in their country to work in our company. At least they are not a liability like the first 2!

I'm only halfway through but feel I need to comment and well I'm not exactly a new Canadian. But I was born the but grew up in New Zealand. And well why not . I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. It saddens me and yes I was that asshole that got trudeau on there cos I seen one rousing speech where he invoked his dad Pierre. And I fell for it. And not to lie I look old Canadian so I fit right in English is my first language and all that. And funnily enough it was the first time in my life where I could say fucking immigrants. It's a brutal place a brutal work climate and well there's a lot that's nice but when it's bad it's dog ear dog. I feel really sad about what's happening, all the mass illegal immigration and yet your a criminal for noticing it. A lot is very wrong, don't get me wrong nz is doing all the same shit too. I went to Canada for prosperity and to change my life lesson I learnt was go home ans do better and that's fucked.

There are mayors and local governments in the U.S. and Canada who proudly proclaim themselves socialist, Marxist, left wing activists, and yet they do nothing to encourage the construction of more rental apartments. Singapore is a much more congested place. Real estate prices are on the higher end.\nCanada is a very cold place but in certain states, Canada gives free land to settle immigrants. Plus, as you stay in close proximity of the US with similar timezones. So you can find jobs in American companies. Singapore is from a different timezone and there is very little overlap between California PST and Singapore SGT. \nAs the global warming takes effect, Singapore will sink, while Canada becomes warmer, more natural resources are unlocked in Canada. Not to mention, Singapore is sorrounded by Islamic nations, and there is high probability of terrorism happening in near future as radicalization increases in that region. War is already happening in Burma between Junta and ARSA. And when civil war happens, so happens the in-flux of illegal arms and ammunition. Canada is far far away from these warzones.\nMost people should prefer Canada over Singapore, unless you have any specific ties to South East Asia, like you love the Asian food or you need to stay in close proximity of your family and friends.

Anyone who crosses the border illegally for any amount of time be it five minutes or 5 years , it’s a life time ban from ever entering this country again . They have to pass a law like this and have include the ones already here , if you get caught you are deported and never allowed to enter the country legally again period never again. I would have the president give a speech encouraging all illegal immigrates that from this moment until 30 days from now you will have to go back to your home country, if you can’t afford it we will put you on a flight to the airport of our choice in your homeland.So for the next 30 days you will not be stopped or detained if you are leaving the country but anyone who’s still here after that deadline and caught there’s no immigration court with free lawyers you are gone with a life time ban . If you want to come legally than all the regular procedures are still in place . First find a sponsor, than get a visa so you can go to the immigration office and get a background check , if you don’t qualify than too bad it’s not our fault you don’t meet our requirements to be eligible to become a U.S. citizen. If you pass the background check and can prove you can support yourself and have a place to live then you get a green card and you get in line while you are in this country and wait your turn to become a U.S. citizen .

I have two words for you that explain much of the dissatisfaction....Justin Trudeau.
